  • SELinux is known as a secure operating system that is easily accessible to users due to the popularization of Linux, and is applied to various security operating system references deployed on systems such as embedded systems and servers. However, if SELinux is applied without considering the performance overhead of activating the SELinux kernel module, the performance of the entire system may be degraded. In this paper, we describe the factors directly affecting the performance inside the SELinux kernel and show that it is possible to improve performance by simply reorganizing the policy without changing the SELinux kernel. This can be used as a reference when security administrators or developers apply SELinux.

  • Purpose: ASRP for the domestic development guided missiles requires not only for the reliability evaluation of the products in storage but also for the life cycle management of the products including development prototypes and initial production items. Methods: For this purpose, it should be performed to build a performance database before and after the accelerated aging test with shelf life items including development prototypes and initial production items, based on which the lifetime prediction should also be carried out. In addition, HILS must be applied for the acceptance test with the initial and follow-up production items, and also for ASRP for the long-term storage products in order to secure systematic quality assurance. Results: The results for the life cycle reliability Improving of domestic development of guided missiles are DB building of prescription Item performance, active application of HILS, Management associated with guided missiles life cycle and to Secure technology data about the introduction of foreign guided missiles. Conclusion: Furthermore, it is demanded that DTaQ, the managing agency of ASRP, actively take part in the process to maintain reliability engagement consistency over the life cycle of guided missiles.

  • Several authentication methods have been developed to make use of tokens in the mobile networks and smart payment systems. Token used in smart payment system is genearated in place of Primary Account Number. The use of token in each payment transaction is advantageous because the token authentication prevents enemy from intercepting credit card number over the network. Existing token authentication methods work together with the cryptogram, which is computed using the shared key that is provisioned by the token service provider. Long lifetime and repeated use of shared key cause potential brawback related to its vulnerability against the brute-force attack. This paper proposes a per-transaction shared key mechanism, where the per-transaction key is agreed between the mobile device and token service provider for each smart payment transaction. From server viewpoint, per-transaction key list is easy to handle because the per-transaction key has short lifetime below a couple of seconds and the server does not need to maintain the state for the mobile device. We analyze the optimum size of the per-transaction shared key which satisfy the requirements for transaction latency and security strength for secure payment transactions.

  • With the advent of database-as-a-service (DAAS) and cloud computing, more and more data owners are motivated to outsource their data to cloud database in consideration of convenience and cost. However, it has become a challenging work to provide security to database as service model in cloud computing, because adversaries may try to gain access to sensitive data, and curious or malicious administrators may capture and leak data. In order to realize privacy preservation, sensitive data should be encrypted before outsourcing. In this paper, we present a secure and practical system over encrypted cloud data, called QSDB (queryable and secure database), which simultaneously supports SQL query operations. The proposed system can store and process the floating point numbers without compromising the security of data. To balance tradeoff between data privacy protection and query processing efficiency, QSDB utilizes three different encryption models to encrypt data. Our strategy is to process as much queries as possible at the cloud server. Encryption of queries and decryption of encrypted queries results are performed at client. Experiments on the real-world data sets were conducted to demonstrate the efficiency and practicality of the proposed system.

  • In a V2X convergence service environment, the principal service among infotainment services and driver management services must be supported centering on critical information of the driver, maintenance manager, customer, and anonymous user. Many software applications have considered solutions to be satisfied the specific requirements of driving care programs, and plans. This paper describes data flow diagram of a secure clinic system for driving car diagnosis, which is included in clinic configuration, clinic, clinic page, membership, clinic request processing, driver profile data, clinic membership data, and clinic authentication in the V2X convergence service environment. It is reviewed focusing on security threat issue of ITS diagnostic system such as spoofing, tampering, repudiation, disclosure, denial of service, and privilege out of STRIDE model.

  • Development of an efficient and secure payment system is prerequisite for the construction of electronic payment mechanism in mobile environment. Since current PayWord protocol system generates vendor's certificate for each transaction, it requires lot of operation for transaction. In this paper, we use a session key generated by ID-based tripartite Key agreement protocol which use an Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem over finite field $F_{q}$ for transactions. Therefore, our protocol reduces algorithm operations. In particular, proposed protocol using ID-based public key cryptosystem has the advantages over the existing systems in speed and it is more secure in Man-in-the-middle attacks and Forward secrecy.

  • As power grids are integrated into one big umbrella (i.e., Smart Grid), communication network plays a key role in reliable and stable operation of power grids. For successful operation of smart grid, interoperability and security issues must be resolved. Security means providing network system integrity, authentication, and confidentiality service. For a cyber-attack to a power grid system, which may jeopardize the national security, vulnerability of communication infrastructure has a serious impact on the power grid network. While security aspects of power grid network have been studied much, security mechanisms are rarely adopted in power gird communication network. For security issues, strict timing requirements are defined in IEC 61850 for mission critical messages (i.e., GOOSE). In this paper, we apply security algorithms (i.e., MD-5, SHA-1, and RSA) and measure their processing time and transmission delay of secured mission critical messages. The results show the algorithms satisfying the timing requirements defined in IEC 61850 and we observer the algorithm that is optimal for secure communication of mission critical messages. Numerical analysis shows that SHA-1 is preferable for secure GOOSE message sending.

  • The cloud environment is hypervisor-based, and many virtual machines are interconnected, which makes propagation of malicious code easier than other environments. Accordingly, this paper proposes a malicious traffic dynamic analysis system for secure cloud environment. The proposed system continuously monitors and analyzes malicious activity in an isolated virtual network environment by distinguishing malicious traffic that occurs in a cloud environment. In addition, the analyzed results are reflected in the distinguishment and analysis of malicious traffic that occurs in the future. The goal of this research is secure and efficient malicious traffic dynamic analysis by constructing the malicious traffic analysis environment in the cloud environment for detecting and responding to the new and variant malicious traffic generated in the cloud environment.

  • In recent decades, the ad hoc network for vehicles has been a core network technology to provide comfort and security to drivers in vehicle environments. However, emerging applications and services require major changes in underlying network models and computing that require new road network planning. Meanwhile, blockchain widely known as one of the disruptive technologies has emerged in recent years, is experiencing rapid development and has the potential to revolutionize intelligent transport systems. Blockchain can be used to build an intelligent, secure, distributed and autonomous transport system. It allows better utilization of the infrastructure and resources of intelligent transport systems, particularly effective for crowdsourcing technology. In this paper, we proposes a vehicle network architecture based on blockchain in the smart city (Block-VN). Block-VN is a reliable and secure architecture that operates in a distributed way to build the new distributed transport management system. We are considering a new network system of vehicles, Block-VN, above them. In addition, we examine how the network of vehicles evolves with paradigms focused on networking and vehicular information. Finally, we discuss service scenarios and design principles for Block-VN.
