  • In this paper, we propose a (2,2)-reversible secret image sharing scheme using histogram shifting and difference expansion. Two techniques are widely used in information hiding. Advantages of them are the low distortion between cover and stego images, and high embedding capacity. In secret image sharing procedure, unlike Shamir's secret sharing, a histogram generate that the difference value between the original image and copy image is computed by difference expansion. And then, the secret image is embedded into original and copy images by using histogram shifting. Lastly, two generated shadow images are distributed to each participant by the dealer. In the experimental results, we measure a capacity of a secret image and a distortion ratio between original image and shadow image. The results show that the embedding capacity and image distortion ratio of the proposed scheme are superior to the previous schemes.

  • As a current popular technology, the blockchain has a serious issue: the private key cannot be retrieved due to force majeure. Since the outcome of the blockchain-based Bitcoin, there have been many occurrences of the users who lost or forgot their private keys and could not retrieve their token wallets, and it may cause the permanent loss of their corresponding blockchain accounts, resulting in irreparable losses for the users. We propose a recoverable private key scheme for consortium blockchain based on the verifiable secret sharing which can enable the user's private key in the consortium blockchain to be securely recovered through a verifiable secret sharing method. In our secret sharing scheme, users use the biometric keys to encrypt shares, and the preset committer peers in the consortium blockchain act as the participants to store the users' private key shares. Due to the particularity of the biometric key, only the user can complete the correct secret recovery. Our comparisons with the existing mnemonic systems or the multi-signature schemes have shown that our scheme can allow users to recover their private keys without storing the passwords accurately. Hence, our scheme can improve the account security and recoverability of the data-sharing systems across physical and virtual platforms that use blockchain technology.

  • Data Security is the most challenging area in Internet communication, where most of the secret sharing schemes are proposed for binary images. But still it lacks in providing security for data communication, especially in image transmission. Traditional visual cryptography scheme generate meaningless diwies and the reconstruction phase leads to quality degradation over the secret image. In this work, an intelligent two dimensional secret share construction scheme is proposed. A secret image is expanded into n diwies with the choice of scheme selection. By Stacking all the qualified diwies to revert the secret image without content loss and less than s* - 1 shares could not reveal any information about the secret image. The experimental results emphasize that the proposed secret share scheme is highly secured for image transmission.

  • Secret sharing scheme is a cryptographic protocol in which a dealer distribures shares of a secret among a set of participants such that only authorized set of participants can recover the secret at a later. Secret sharing is an important cryptographic primitive in management of secret information, secure multiparty protocol and group-oriented cryptography, etc. In this paper, we propose an efficient, on-line secret sharing scheme based on one-way hash function. This scheme provides the property to share multiple secrets and allows participants to be added/deleted dynamically, without having to redistributo new shares. Proposed scheme has advantage to detect cheating and identify of all cheater, regardless of then number. Frthermore, it is more eficient than previous schemes.

  • We presents a novel (2, 2) secret sharing (SS) scheme for all grayscale images. Generally, a secret image is distribute more than two shadow images, which are dealt out among participants. In order to find out secret image, participants print shadow images to transparent papers. Then, a secret image will appear as stacking transparent papers. The secret sharing scheme in this paper distribute secret image into natural grayscale images using multiplexer and data hiding scheme. After then, two participant have two shadow images respectively. The merit of the proposed scheme is that shadow images have small loss in aspect of the quality with steganographic features. Therefore, the proposed secret sharing scheme in this paper is not easily detected by attackers. The experiment result verified that the proposed scheme, obviously outperforms previous SS schemes.

  • In general, if a secret of company is owned by a person, the secret is the most vulnerable to attack of hacking. Secret sharing is a solution to solve such a problem. To share the secret to many people not one, it is possible to restore secret when the secret is being stolen by someone. That is, secret sharing, a strong method, was proposed to keep secret information from the robbery. Until now, most secret sharing schemes were based on spatial domain. The hidden data based on spatial domain is easily deleted since a transformation of digital formats (i.e., jpeg to bmp or vise versa). In this paper, we proposed our scheme for complement to resist various attack of cover image as distributing secrets based on DCT of JPEG using exclusive-or operation. The result of experiments proved that the proposed scheme restore original secret.

  • Recently, there are many researches on sharing group session key for members in a group. Among them, Harn and Lin proposed a scheme based on the Shamir's group session key and Liu, Cheng, Cao, and Jiang improved it to reduce the specific weakness. Especially, these schemes are based on the finite integer ring to protest the insider attack, in which a valid member can derived another member's secret using known information. In this paper, it is shown that the finite integer ring implies the failure of the reconstruction of group session key depending on the adopted parameters. We fix this problem and propose new group session key transfer scheme using the Shamir's secret sharing.

  • A (n,t,n) secret sharing scheme is to share a secret among n group members, where each member also plays a role of a dealer, and any t shares can be used to recover the secret. In this paper, we propose a strong (k,t,n) verifiable multi-secret sharing scheme, where any k out of n participants operate as dealers. The scheme realizes both threshold structure and adversary structure simultaneously, and removes a trusted third party. The secret reconstruction phase is performed using an additive homomorphism for decreasing the storage cost. Meanwhile, the scheme achieves the pre-verification property in the sense that any participant doesn't need to reveal any information about real master shares in the verification phase. We compare our proposal with the previous (n,t,n) secret sharing schemes from the perspectives of what kinds of access structures they achieve, what kinds of functionalities they support and whether heavy storage cost for secret share is required. Then it shows that our scheme takes the following advantages: (a) realizing the adversary structure, (b) allowing any k out of n participants to operate as dealers, (c) small sized secret share. Moreover, our proposed scheme is a favorable candidate to be used in many applications, such as secure multi-party computation and privacy preserving data mining, etc.

  • We propose an individual authentication method based on optical visual cryptography in thata fingerprint data is processed by secret sharing method taking into account the optical visual cryptograph and a part of shared data transmitted through an open network. Whenever it is necessary, submitting his fingerprint with the other shared information can authenticate the owner of the fingerprint. The system efficiently identifies fingerprints through optical correlation, regardless of difficulties of acquisition of exact fingerprint imagein the various environments.
