마이크로 프로세서를 이용한 최적위치제어에 관한 연구 (A study on optimal position control using a microprocessor)

  • Recently, being due to development of a small microprocessor, microprocessor have found increasing application as a digital controller in the control system. In this paper, authors analyze theoretically the continuous PID controller of a position control system with servomotor, and program the microprocessor as digital PID controller by an assembly language, and search the optimal parameters of the digital PID controller which make the smallest integral square error criterion for a performance criterion, and take experiment the indicial responses with optimal parameter. The results are following. 1) PD- behavior controller was better than P-behavior controller. 2) The smaller the smapling times of P-behavior controller and PD-behavior controller were, the better the indicial responses of the discrete system were. 3) Using a small microprocessor could replace the traditional continuous PID controller for good control.

  • In this study, we propose a neuro-genetic controller combined with a linear controller in parallel to improve the tracking performance of the Line of Sight(LOS) stabilization system and reject the effect of disturbances. A Genetic Algorithm(GA) is used to optimize weights of the neuro-genetic controller since this algorithm can search a global minimum without derivatives or other auxiliary knowledge. The LOS system is very complex and has limited measurable output data. Under these specific circumstances GA solves many problems that other training methods have. Computer simulation results show that the, proposed controller makes better tracking response and rejection of disturbance than a linear controller.

  • In this paper, feedback controller is designed for ball-beam system using genetic algorithms. A genetic algorithms are implemented for optimizing gain parameters of feedback controller. We can find optimal point in multi-dimensional search space by using genetic algorithms. Performance of controller is tested by simulation of ball-beam system.

  • In this paper auto-tuning scheme of PID controller based on the reference model has been studied by immune algorithm for a process. Up to this time, many sophisticated tuning algorithms have been tried in order to improve the PID controller performance under such difficult conditions. However, in the actual plant, they are manually tuned through a trial and error procedure, and the derivative action is switched off. Therefore, it is difficult to tune. Simulation results by immune based tuning reveal that tuning approaches suggested in this paper is an effective approach to search for optimal or near optimal process control.

A Processor Assignment Problem for ATM Switch Configuration

  • In this paper, we deal with a processor assignment problem that minimizes the total traffic load of an ATM switch controller by optimally assigning processors to ATM interface units. We develop an integer programming (IP) model for the problem, and devise an effective tabu search heuristic. Computational results reveal the efficacy of the proposed tabu search procedure, finding a good quality solution within 5% of optimality gap.

선박용 탐사조명 전원장치의 방전개시전압 제어와 조명 이상검출 (Discharging Voltage Control with Error Detecting for Search light of Ship)

  • 본 논문에서는 선박용 HID조명의 방전 개시전압을 조절함으로써 초기 방전전류를 억제하여, HID조명의 안정적인 점등이 가능한 제어방식을 제안하였다. 제안된 제어 방식은 방전 대기전압까지 출력전압을 상승시킨 후, 충전전압의 저항부하 방전을 통하여 전압을 감소시키면서, 설계된 방전개시전압시점에서 이그니터를 점화하여 방전 개시 전류를 제한한다. 방전 후 정상상태에서는 정전류 제어로 조도를 제어하게 된다. 제안된 방식은 별도의 전압제어기를 포함하지 않으면서도, 방전개시 시점을 조절할 수 있으므로, 초기 방전 전류를 크게 제한할 수 있으므로, 안정적인 점등과 조명의 수명을 확대할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한 조명의 이상상태를 간단한 이상검출 회로를 통하여 순시적으로 감시하여 전체 시스템의 보호 성능을 개선하였다. 제안된 제어기는 실제 선박용 2.5[kW]급의 HID 탐사조명에 대한 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • 소프트웨어 정의 네트워크는 네트워크 제어 기능을 데이터 전송 기능으로부터 물리적으로 분리하여 소프트웨어적으로 구현한다. 광범위한 지역으로 소프트웨어 정의 네트워크를 설치하기 위해서는 다중의 제어기가 요구되며, 제어기의 배치는 소프트웨어 정의 네트워크 성능에 중요한 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 정의 네트워크에서 효율적인 제어기 배치를 위한 메타 휴리스틱 알고리즘인 타부 서치 알고리즘을 제안한다. 보다 좋은 결과를 효과적으로 얻기 위해 새로운 타부 서치의 이웃해 생성 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 소프트웨어 정의 네트워크에서 최소 전송지연과 실행속도 관점에서 성능을 평가하며, 유전 알고리즘 및 랜덤방법과 비교하여 제안된 알고리즘의 성능이 우수함을 보인다.

Adaptive Fuzzy Controller Design for Altitude Control of an Unmanned Helicopter

  • Unmanned Helicopter has several abilities such as vertical Take off, hovering, low speed flight at low altitude. Such vehicles are becoming popular in actual applications such as search and rescue, aerial reconnaissance and surveillance. These vehicles also used under risky environments without threatening the life of a pilot. Since a small unmanned helicopter is very sensitive to environmental conditions, it is generally known that the flight control is very difficult problems. The nonlinear adaptive fuzzy controller design procedure and its applications for altitude control of unmanned helicopter were described in the paper. This research was concentrated on describing the design methodologies of altitude controller design for small unmanned helicopter acquiring autonomous take off and vertical movement. The design methodologies and performance of the altitude controller were simulated and verified with an adaptive fuzzy controller. Throughout simulation results, I showed that the proposed adaptive controllers have enhanced control performance such as robustness, effectiveness and safety, in the altitude control of the unmanned helicopter.

  • Evolutionary computation techniques can solve search problems using simulated evolution based on the ‘survival of the fittest’. Recently, the genetic programming (GP) which evolves computer programs using the genetic algorithm was introduced. In this paper, the genetic programming technique is used in order to design a rule based controller consisting of condition-action rules for an unknown system. No a priori knowledge about the structure of the controller is needed. Representation of a solution, functions and terminals in GP are analyzed, and a method of constructing a fuzzy logic controller using the obtained rule based controller is described. A simulation example using a nonlinear system shows the validity and efficiency of the proposed method.

Genetic Programming 기반 플랜트/제어기 동시 최적화 방법 (Genetic Programming Based Plant/Controller Simultaneous Optimization Methodology)

  • This paper presents a methodology based on evolutionary optimization for simultaneously optimizing design parameters of controller and components of plant. Genetic programming(GP) based bond graph model generation is adopted to open-ended search for the plant. Also GP is applied to represent the controller with a unified method. The formulations of simultaneous plant-controller design optimization problem and the description of solution techniques based on bond graph are derived. A feasible solutions for a plant/controller design using the simultaneous optimization methodology is illustrated.
