실시간 데이터 수집/분석/처리를 위한 지능형 IoT (A Study on The Real-Time Data Collection/Analysis/Processing Intelligent IoT)

  • 본 연구는 데이터의 실시간 수집/분석/처리를 위한 빅데이터 기반, 데이터 자산의 창의적 분석과 유통단계를 실시간으로 측정할 수 있는 IoT 기반 지능형 처리시스템을 개발한다. 모바일 단말은 제공된 디바이스의 SDK를 이용하여 특정지역 해산물 생산유통소비에 대한 데이터 정보를 측정한다. 측정된 정보를 oneM2M 프로토콜을 이용하여 해산물 생산에 필요한 각종 정보를 제공하고 DB Server, 관리자가 UI를 이용하여 시스템을 관리할 수 있는 체계를 구현한다.

조선왕조실록 분석을 통한 조선시대 식중독에 관한 연구 (A Study on Food Poisoning during the Joseon Dynasty using the Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty based data)

  • This study analyzed food poisoning articles in the Joseonwangjosillok to acquire historical evidence. The study method used case studies from the textual content of the Joseonwangjosillok. In all, there were fifteen cases of food poisoning in spring (60%), four cases in summer (16%), five cases in fall (20%), and 1 case during winter (4%). Most cases of food poisoning occurred during spring, followed by fall, then summer, and the least during winter. Foods that caused poisoning were as follows: twelve cases of seafood (48%), three cases of vegetables (12%), two cases of meat (8%), and eight cases of poisonous food (32%). Maximum cases pertained to seafood poisoning, which also spiked during spring. This could be attributed to the increased number of planktons as the sea temperature rose during spring. Due to the increased plankton, shellfish absorbed more toxins. The consumption of increasingly toxic shellfish resulted in more cases of food poisoning. The food poisoning frequency was the most severe during the 18th century, followed sequentially by the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries, and was the least severe during the 19th century. Joseonwangjosillok showed that food poisoning cases happened most during social events where many guests or family members gathered to eat.

Diet and Colorectal Cancer Risk in Asia - a Systematic Review

  • Diet is one of the major factors that can exert a majorly influence on colorectal cancer risk. This systematic review aimed to find correlations between various diet types, food or nutrients and colorectal cancer risk among Asian populations. Search limitations include dAsian populations residing in Asia, being published from the year 2008 till present, and written in the English language. A total of 16 articles were included in this systematic review. We found that red meats, processed meats, preserved foods, saturated/animal fats, cholesterol, high sugar foods, spicy foods, tubers or refined carbohydrates have been found by most studies to have a positive association with colorectal cancer risk. Inversely, calcium/dairy foods, vitamin D, general vegetable/fruit/fiber consumption, cruciferous vegetables, soy bean/soy products, selenium, vitamins C,E and B12, lycophene, alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, folic acid and many other vitamins and minerals play a protective role against colorectal cancer risk. Associations of fish and seafood consumption with colorectal cancer risk are still inconclusive due to many varying findings, and require further more detailed studies to pinpoint the actual correlation. There is either a positive or no association for total meat consumption or white meats, however their influence is not as strong as with red and processed meats.

머신러닝 기법을 활용한 수입 수산물 통관검사결과 분류 모델 (A Classification Model for Customs Clearance Inspection Results of Imported Aquatic Products Using Machine Learning Techniques)

  • 수산물은 많은 국가의 주요한 단백질 공급원이며 소비가 증가하고 있다. 우리나라도 수산물 소비는 증가하는 반면 자급률은 낮아지고 있으며, 수산물의 수입량이 증가함에 따라 안전관리의 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 국내로 수입되는 수산물은 110여 개 국가로부터 수백 종에 이르며, 수입 수산물의 안전관리를 검사관의 경험에만 의존하는 것은 한계가 있다. 데이터를 기반으로 수입 수산물 통관검사 결과를 예측할 수 있는 모델을 개발하여 수입신고서가 제출되었을 때 수산물의 부적합 가능성을 판단하는 머신러닝 분류 모델을 생성한다. 수입수산물 통관검사 결과 부적합율은 1% 미만으로 매우 낮은 불균형 데이터이므로 이러한 특성을 보완할 수 있는 샘플링 방법을 비교 연구하였고, 분류결과를 해석할 수 있는 전처리 방법을 적용하였다. 여러 가지 머신러닝 기반의 분류모델 중에서 랜덤포레스트와 XGBoost가 좋은 성능을 보였다. 통관검사 결과 적합과 부적합을 모두 잘 예측하는 모델은 ADASYN과 원-핫 인코딩을 적용한 랜덤포레스트 기본 모델이며 정확도 99.88%, 정밀도 99.87%, 재현율 99.89%, AUC 99.88%이다. XGBoost는 오버샘플링과 인코딩 종류에 상관없이 모든 지표가 90%를 넘겨 가장 안정적인 모델이다.

어린이·청소년의 비스페놀 A 인체 노출에 영향을 미치는 요인: 제3기 국민환경보건 기초조사(2015-2017) (Factors Affecting on Human Exposure to Bisphenol A in Children and Adolescents: Korean National Environmental Health Survey (KoNEHS) Cycle 3, 2015-2017)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting Bisphenol A (BPA) exposure in children and adolescents using the results of the Korean National Environmental Health Survey (KoNEHS) cycle 3. Methods: A total of 2,380 subjects (n=571, 887, and 922 for 3-5, 6-11, and 12-17 years of age, respectively) were analyzed using an environmental exposure survey and environmental chemical substances concentration levels. Univariable linear regression analysis was performed to determine associated variables such as sex, age, income level, housing type, secondhand smoke time, cup noodles and canned food consumption, seafood consumption, new furniture (within the previous six months), drinking water type, and consumption of herbal medicines. Variables with p-values of less than 0.2 were extracted from the results and a multivariable linear regression analysis was performed using stepwise selection. Results: Univariable linear regression analysis showed positive associations between BPA concentration levels and variables including sex, age, secondhand smoke time, new furniture (within the previous six months), renovated living space (within the previous six months), fish and shellfish consumption, plastic-bottled drink consumption, and herbal medicine. As a result of performing multivariable linear regression analysis, the lower was the age the higher was the concentration of BPA levels. Additionally, women showed higher BPA levels than those of men. The more frequently fish was consumed, the higher was the BPA concentration. Moreover, higher BPA concentrations were observed when taking herbal medicine. Conclusions: The main factors affecting BPA concentration levels were age, gender, and consumption of fish and herbal medicine.

해양 환경의 미세 플라스틱과 인간의 건강에 미치는 영향 (Microplastics in the Marine Environment and Their Impacts on Human Health)

  • 미세 플라스틱은 입자의 크기가 5 mm 이하인 플라스틱 조각을 말하며 미세 플라스틱의 오염은 해양 생태계와 인간의 건강과 관련되어 전 세계적인 관심사이다. 광범위하게 오염되어 있는 관계로, 미세 플라스틱은 물고기, 담치, 굴, 조개, 가리비와 같이 다양한 동물에 섭취되어 체내에 축적된다. 게다가, 섭취된 미세 플라스틱은 소장, 간, 신장 그리고 심지어 뇌에서도 높은 농도로 관찰된다. 해산물은 인간에게 있어 주요 단백질 공급원 중 하나이므로, 해산물의 소비는 인간이 미세 플라스틱에 노출되는 경로가 될 수 있다. 많은 근거들은 설치류에서 미세 플라스틱의 반복적인 경구 투여가 생식, 심장, 소화기, 내분비 그리고 심지어 신경계에서 병리적, 기능적 변화를 유도함을 가리킨다. 더욱이, 임신기와 수유기 동안 모체가 미세 플라스틱에 노출되면 새끼에서 대사의 항상성에 변화가 일어난다. 해산물은 세계적으로 3억 1천만 명 이상의 사람들에게 20% 이상의 단백질 공급원이라는 사실을 고려할 때, 미세 플라스틱은 인간의 몸에 축적되어 생리적 기능에 장애를 유발할 수 있다고 가정하는 것이 타당하다. 본 리뷰에서 우리는 해양에서 미세 플라스틱 오염의 현재 실태와 해양 동물 및 설치류에서 미세 플라스틱의 축적과 독성, 그리고 인간에게의 노출과 인간 건강에 미치는 잠재적인 영향에 대해 요약하였다.

Quantitative microbial risk assessment indicates very low risk for Vibrio parahaemolyticus foodborne illness from Jeotgal in South Korea

  • In this study, a microbial risk assessment was performed for the bacteria Vibrio parahaemolyticus, which causes a foodborne illness following the consumption of Jeotgal, a fermented seafood in South Korea. The assessment comprised of six stages: product, market, home, consumption, dose-response, and risk. The initial contamination level (IC) was calculated based on the prevalence of V. parahaemolyticus in 90 Jeotgal samples. The kinetic behavior of V. parahaemolyticus was described using predictive models. The data on transportation conditions from manufacturer to market and home were collected through personal communication and from previous studies. Data for the Jeotgal consumption status were obtained, and an appropriate probability distribution was established. The simulation models responding to the scenario were analyzed using the @RISK program. The IC of V. parahaemolyticus was estimated using beta distribution [Beta (1, 91)]. The cell counts during transportation were estimated using Weibull and polynomial models [δ = 1 / (0.0718 - 0.0097 × T + 0.0005 × T2)], while the probability distributions for time and temperature were estimated using Pert, Weibull, Uniform, and LogLogistic distributions. Daily average consumption amounts were assessed using the Pareto distribution [0.60284,1.32,Risk Truncate(0,155)]. The results indicated that the risk of V. parahaemolyticus infection through Jeotgal consumption is low in South Korea.

통영지역 임산부의 생선섭취가 제대혈의 수은 농도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Fish Consumption on Umbilical Cord Blood Mercury Level in Pregnant Women in the City of Tongyeong, Korea)

  • 어류는 두뇌발달에 중요한 영양소이기도 하지만 신경독인 메틸수은을 함유하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 메틸수은은 임산부가 임신 중에 태아의 두뇌에 치명적인 손상을 유발하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 연구자들은 생선소비와 임산부 제대혈 중의 메틸수은 함량을 확인하기 위하여 통영지역 임산부 159명을 대상으로 2010년 10월부터 2011년 3월 사이에 임산부의 생선소비와 제대혈의 수은농도의 관계를 조사하였다. 어류소비 관련자료는 설문조사를 통하여 수집하였고 통계처리는 one way ANOVA 를 이용하였다. 조사에 참여한 임산부의 평균나이는 30.1세이었고 임산부 제대혈의 수은 함량은 0.01-14.80 ppb 범위에 평균 $2.69{\pm}2.50ppb$이었다. 제대혈의 평균 수은함량은 WHO 기준인 5.0 ppb를 초과하지는 않았지만 159명 중 17명(10.7%)이 WHO 기준을 초과하였다. 연령별로는 30세 이상이 0.01-14.8 ppb 범위, 평균 $3.18{\pm}2.74ppb$로 29세 이하에서 0-8.00 ppb 범위, 평균 $2.04{\pm}2.00ppb$ 보다 1.6배 높았으며 유의적 차이가 있었다. 이 연구에서 생선섭취가 제대혈의 수은농도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 1주일에 3회 이상 섭취군이 평균 $4.15{\pm}4.02ppb$로 주 1-2회 섭취군의 $2.63{\pm}2.22ppb$, 먹지 않는 군의 $1.60{\pm}1.44ppb$ 보다 2.6배와 1.6배 각각 높게 나타났으며 적게 먹는 군과 먹지 않는 군과의 사이에는 유의적 차이가 없었고, 많이 섭취하는 군과는 유의적 차이 (p < 0.05)가 있었다. 이상의 결과에서 제대혈의 수은 농도는 생선섭취량과 관련이 있는 것으로 판단되며 가임기 여성이나 임산부에게 생선섭취를 제한하는 것이 제대혈의 수은 농도를 낮출 수 있고 향후 있을지도 모를 신생아의 신경발달 장애나 뇌 신경학적 손상을 줄일 수 있는 방법이라고 생각되었다.

IMF시대의 식생활 소비패턴에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Consumption Patterns of Food Life in IMF Age)

  • This study investigates the impact of International Monetary Fund(IMF) Age on the household behavior of food consumption and analysis the related factors(demographic variables, family life style) to find out the reasonable consumer's consciousness and food market conditions. The results are as follows. 1. General life style and food life style, considered as family life style, were classified into 7 types and 9 types respectively as family life style by factor analysis. 2. The rationality of using and disposing stage on food life has increased, the rationality of the planning stage on food life has decreased since the IMF age began. But the rationality of overall food consumption has hardly changed. 3. The amount of purchasing was decreased, discount store was favorite place to buy food, and safety and freshness were major determinants in purchasing for most of food items. But this was different with food items. The various information sources were used impartially to buy food, cash was used mainly, and the degree of using the discount ticket/coupon was a little low. 4. Income level is an influential factor on the rationality of the planning and purchasing stage on food life, while environment-oriented food life style has influenced on the rationality of using and disposing stage. The purchasing amount of grain products, meats, milk products, bread and snacks, drinks, alcoholic drinks, water and convenience goods has influenced by demographic variables, eating out had been influenced by general life styles, and fruits, healthy foods, processed foodstuffs, favorite foods, vegetables seaweeds, import foods and seafood had been mainly influenced by food life style since IMF age began.

Dietary acculturation and changes of Central Asian immigrant workers in South Korea by health perception

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the dietary patterns of Central Asian immigrant workers (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan) living in South Korea to determine the food acculturation and how their dietary practices have changed after immigration. Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 186 Central Asian immigrant workers living in South Korea. A food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) was used to obtain information on the consumption frequency of 22 food items before and after their immigration to Korea. Results: Central Asians switched to Korean meat consumption patterns, which consume mainly pork, chicken, and beef, showing a decrease in the intake of beef and lamb and an increase in that of pork. Their consumption of Namul (cooked vegetable), Kimchi, rice, and marine products increased while that of potatoes decreased during acculturation to Korean food culture. Positive changes were observed in Mongolians' eating habits. Their meat-based diet turned into a healthy one in which nutritional balance was achieved by consuming the various food groups. Negative dietary changes were also observed; intake of instant foods and coffee increased while black and green tea consumption decreased. Intake of Namul (p < 0.01), Kimchi (p < 0.01), rice (p < 0.001), ramen (p < 0.001), pork, chicken (p < 0.01), fish (p < 0.01), seafood (p < 0.001), and coffee (p < 0.001) increased significantly in the group that responded and their health improved after moving to Korea. This result suggests that health improved among those who were well settled in Korea and ate the various food groups. Conclusion: These findings can help understand the acculturation process to Korean food culture and provide a basis for developing policies to help them adjust to Korean food culture.
