공간 배치를 위한 혼합현실 기반의 인터페이스 (A Mixed Reality Based Interface for Planing Layouts)

  • 공장 내 생산설비 배치나 건물 내 인테리어 디자인에서, 생산성 및 전체 디자인을 손상하지 않고 장비들을 신규 도입 혹은 재배치하는 것은 고비용의 작업이다. 이러한 실제 물체들을 가상공간에서 배치 시뮬레이션 하기 위한 방법으로 본 논문에서는 혼합현실 기반의 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안된 인터페이스는 공장 내 생산설비 배치를 위한 시뮬레이션 알고리즘이 적용되었다. 제안된 인터페이스의 하드웨어는 이동식의 PC 플랫폼위에 사용자 입력을 위한 터치스크린과 비디오카메라가 장착되어 영상을 실시간적으로 보여주는 디스플레이(video see-through display) 를 사용한다. 가상물체와 실제물체가 정교히 합성된 혼합 현실 영상에서 터치 입력을 통해 가상 물체들을 회전 및 이동을 통해 재배치한다. 구현된 인터페이스를 통해, 우리는 제안된 인터페이스가 공간 배치 응용 분야에서 유용성이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This study aim to suggest how alter the korean traditional image design for umbrellas by sublimation transfer digital textile printing. Umbrellas are highly depend on design and made from polyester fiber which is proper item to utilize sublimation transfer digital textile printing. Sublimation transfer digital textile printing system can use computer system to create the delicate high dense images and one full layout through the hole umbrella. It can create distinctive style of design compare with former screen printing umbrella design. As a result of this study, Korean traditional images were adopted and recreated for umbrellas as the modern practical item. 7 of umbrella designs were developed and sample umbrellas could be produced in short period comparing with screen printing process. Through this study, as green printing process, sublimation transfer digital textile printing will be more applied to manufacture high quality textile products along with design development, thus it is expected as an alternative plan to leads growth of umbrella industries.

  • N-Screen 환경에서 HTML5 표준 기반 콘텐츠 개발은 필연적이다. 그러나 높은 개발 비용과 개발 인프라 부족 등의 이유로 HTML5 조작형 콘텐츠 개발은 소극적이다. 이에 동영상, 오디오와 같은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 동적 조작 구현이 가능한 HTML5와 융합하여 사용자와 상호작용이 가능한 효율적인 콘텐츠 개발 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 제안 모형은 통합 제어용 플레이어를 포함한 HTML5 레이아웃 내에 멀티미디어와 iframe(inline frame) 영역을 구분 배치하도록 설계하였다. 상호작용형 HTML5 문서들은 화면 단위로 나누어 작성하여 iframe을 통하여 제공된다.   • The accurate error size and discrimination region in the perception of depth amount from 3-dimensional images by the human visual system will be the basic data for the utilization and application of the binocular 3- eimensional image system. This paper is focused on studying the accuracy of the depth amount perceived from 3- dimensional images by the human visual system. From the performed experiment, the following results have been obtained: (1) The depth amount perceived from the binocular 3- dimensional images has been displayed by a proper scale of distance, and found to be imprecise and also have a large variance. (2) In utilizing the binocular 3-dimensional image system, it seems more appropriate to make the images viewed outward rather than inward from the screen in the regard of error and variance. (3) The binocular 3-dimensional image system can be effectively applied to displaying unreal space, for example, the layout of room in design, from the viewpoint of perception characteristics of depth amount.

  • A communication-aid circuit to detect eye-gazed patterns is proposed in this paper. The circuit is an analog-digital mixed system. By determining the direction of eye-gazed pattern, the circuit detects an eye-gazed pattern from 2-dimensional arrayed patterns on a syllabary. Different from conventional systems, the syllabary is moved to overlap the eye-gazed pattern with the center coordinate of screen. Thus, the proposed circuit can avoid a complex calculation of the distance between the eye-gazed point and the center coordinate. Furthermore: an economical size of hardware can be provided since no full-adders are required by employing floating-gate MOSFBT's. The validity of the cricuit design is confirmed by computer simulations. Furthermore, to implement onto an IC chip, the layout design is performed by using a CAD tool, MAGIC.

  • Designing the industrial ventilation system is the complex and time-consuming job. It could generate some errors in the design calculations if one uses the hand-calculator or the spreadsheet program. To overcome these difficulties, VSDS(Ventilation System Design Software) had been developed a few years ago. But, it had the difficulty in designing a complex system having many branches because the user can not see the layout of the system on the screen. Another difficulty is that VSDS had been based on the assumption of the standard air condition. VSDS has thus been improved to overcome the shortcomings of the old version of VSDS.

  • Web development and Internet technology development bring many kinds of works to web. This is the main reason why XML, document standard is popular. XML in web can be used to express document template or standard. XML with java can be more powerful and general. For example, XML can be used to transmit data and to print data into the screen using Ajax in JSP(Java Server Page) and to make interfaces in android, which is useful to reduce development cycle. However, XML is not easy to learn for the novice. In this paper, we propose the easy and effective way to reduce the learning curve of XML and to make and use XML documents. For the purpose, we suggest template base XML document generation and we design and implement XML document generator based on Template. XML document generator of template-based provides user interface and layout of XML document. So, users can generate XML document easily and effectively.

Presentation Transformation Scheme for Effective Multimedia Object Browsing

  • Users want to browse various stoups of nested attribute values of an object. On the other hand, in case of the presentation of a multimedia object, the form-based presentation is superior to the graph-based presentation. Therefore we propose o form-based presentation transformation scheme that allows users to reorganize the presentation layout to ft the limited screen and to show the values of all the needed attributes. For the representation of the presentation scenario of an object a presentation information class and the presentation transformation operations are defined. We show how these operations transform the default presentation into the wanted presentation by navigating through a multimedia object with the COMIB (COMposite Icon Browser).
