  • The purpose of this study is to design a LMS(Learning Management System) dashboard for instructor feedback support based on learning analytics and to apply a LMS dashboard incorporating such taxonomy which allows an instructor to give a student personalized feedback according to the class content and a student's traits. In the dashboard design phase, usable instructional data were selected from LMS based on feedback taxonomy in terms of learning analytics. Two validity tests were conducted with 8 instructional technologists over 8 years of experience, and were revised accordingly. The final dashboard screen has three parts: A comprehensive analysis screen to provide appropriate feedback based on instructor feedback taxonomy analysis, a summary screen for learner analysis, and a recommended feedback guide screen. Detailed analysis information are provided through other dashboards that are displayed in eight screens: login analysis, learning information confirmation analysis, teaching materials learning analysis, assignment/tests, and posts analysis. All of these dashboards were represented by analysis information and data based on learner analytics through visualization methods including graphs and tables. The implications of educational utilization of the dashboard for instructor feedback support based on learning analytics and the future researches were suggested based on these results.

  • Space planning is one of the popular applications of VR technology including interior design, architecture design, and factory layout. In order to provide easier methods to accommodate physical objects into virtual space planning task, we suggest applying mixed reality (MR) interface. We describe our hardware and software of our MR system designed according to requirements of the application domain. In brief, our system hardware consists of a video see-through display with a touch screen interface, mounted on a mobile platform, and we use screen space 3D manipulations to arrange virtual objects within the MR scene. Investigating the interface with our prototype implementation, we are convinced that our system will help users to design spaces in more easy and effective way.

  • The environment of IT is, currently, on its developing process to the period of cloud computing, big data, and business intelligence which not only enable computer and internet to be utilized like the water or the air, but also be a new motivating force for its advance. In the respect of various interactions and Infographics, however, it is requiring more demands from its users, and additional functions which cannot be provided by the Web Browser. In this study, therefore, it will be suggested a design of N-screen convergence presentation tier by using infographics based on N-Tier platform.

  • Recently high speed mixer, which is mixing, grinding, dispersion for liquid-liquid material, has been widely used several industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, electronic material. This high speed mixer has a core element part called particle separation device. Particle separation device, which makes mixed liquid and liquid material using shear forces from a rotor and a stator, is a decisive factor in the distributed parts. In this study, we examined the velocity distribution of the two models of particle separation device using computation fluid dynamics, so that we were able to see the difference of the velocity distribution according to the shape. Also, by experiment, we observed that the use of rotor-screen type is deemed more suitable in case of accurately considering the effect of improving of the dispersibility through the circulation of the future.

  • There are various methods in the flat panel display manufacture. The cost reduction effect is very big in case of using the screen printing method. The screen printing method is much used in the process of forming PDP barrier and can apply to the process of arranging the pillars for maintaining the vacuum gap of the vacuum glazing panel. The pillar which is one of the core elements for comprising vacuum glazing maintains the vacuum gap overcoming the vacuum pressure difference with the atmospheric pressure generated in vacuum glazing. At the same time, the deformation phenomenon by vacuum pressure is relived. In this paper, by using FEM about three considered in the pillar design and arrangement kinds of limiting factors, the simulation was performed. The pillar optimum arrangement method at within the maximum allowable tensile stress and heat transfer coefficients according to the arrangement try to be presented based upon the analyzed result data review and this validity tries to be verified by FEM.

  • Fashion films with screen limits have a way of changing communication methods through sensorial organs in order to go beyond limits. This study shows that such change is possible if fashion films are based on haptic factors. This study examines haptic factors of fashion films from the three perspectives of filming factors of different shot size, synesthetic, and cinematic screen methods. First, when the subject to be emphasized is enlarging, the observer comes to project themselves to the situation and incurs a haptic sensation. Second, when associating an experience by personal recollection or social customs when more than two senses are stimulated simultaneously, haptic sensations, triggered by multiple senses, takes place. Third, a blurred image shows haptic sensations through inducing observers to see into the meaning of a shot. As a result, the senses of the observer enlarge and enhance a communication ability through absorbing and accepting a fashion film. Furthermore, fashion films are effective in understanding the cultural forms of the age.

  • Chang'an (Chinese: 长安三万里), also known as 30,000 Miles from Chang'an, is a 2023 Chinese 3D animated historical drama film directed by Xie Junwei and Zou Jing. This thesis aims to explore the visual expression of traditional culture in the 3D animated film Chang'an as an example to reveal the reasons for the success of this type of film. The study analyses in detail the design of the character models and costumes, as well as the use of the traditional landscape painting technique of 'white space' in the composition of the screen from the visual aspect. Through the analysis of character design and screen composition, the thesis concludes that the success of Chang'an lies in its elaborate visual design and clever use of traditional culture, which makes it a 3D animation film with both artistic and commercial values. Finally, the thesis concludes that the production of a successful 3D animation film needs to combine the visual elements of 3D animation with traditional culture in order to win audience recognition and achieve commercial success.

  • Information boards installed in Seoul subway stations are currently in four languages: Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese. Informational announcements are provided to inform the main information or operation information through the LCD monitor installed in the train and in Korean. However, users are confused because the subway guide board screen displays advertisements more heavily than driving information As a research method, we grasped the current status and problems of the subway guide board installed on the Seoul subway, and presented an improved new subway guide board drafts. An online survey was conducted on 67 people, ranging from teens to 60s who mainly use the Seoul Metro. As a result of the study, the screen design is different for each boarding route, so it is necessary to unify the subway guide board that provides only necessary information. In particular, since the user transfers the subway several times in order to move from place to place, the subway guide board design should function as an emergency disaster guide or boarding information, not an advertising signboard.

  • PDAs(Personal Digital Assistants), one of the typical mobile devices, are examined in this study to identify the factors affecting their usability. This study focuses on the menu design of PDAs. Three factors including menu extension method, menu structure, and screen orientation were manipulated in a usability experiment. Task completion times, error rates, and degree of subjective satisfaction were measured. Guidelines for designing a PDA menu are proposed based on the experimental results.
