한국에 있어서 사서실습교육의 실태 조사연구 (A Research on the Actual Conditions of Library Practice Education in Korea)

  • 1. Library practice education in Korea is in the form of field experience, that is, Practicum, which is one type of field experience. 2. The practicum is a short-term work experience guided by the academic institutions. (2 to 6 weeks of full time employment in a library, or one to two semesters of approximately 10 to 12 hours weekly) 3. Field work is largely accepted as a required subject. 4. Field work is usually carried out during the first semester of senior year. (or of sophomore year in junior college) 5. Libraries in other universities (or in other institutions) can beused for a student's field work. But the current tendency is to use his or her own university's library. 6. Most universities give one credit for 2 weeks' field work. 7. The method of evaluation is strict: A or 'excellent' (above 90), B or 'good' (above 80), C or 'fair' (above 70), D or 'bad' (above 60). 8. The expense of field work is usually included in the tuition fees. However, some think that an additional fees should be collected in the case of special practice. 9. Respondents to my survey say that the field experience is necessary so that professional librarians can connect theory and practice. 10. They also indicate that there are some problems in library practice education: administrative difficulties in the department chairman's office, the burden on professors in the library being used, and the limited number of libraries in which the field work is practicable. 11. The Department of Library Science is responsible primarily for providing faculty supervision over the students, and secondarily for the preparation of evaluation cards and field work reports. 12. Most of the faculty respondents use evaluation cards for the field work, some of which serve as grade sheets, some as field work diaries, and some as field work reports.

감성적 인터페이스 디자인을 위한 스토리텔링 접근 (A Storytelling approach to user affective interface design)

  • 산업의 각 분야에서 사용자에 대한 감성적 접근이 중요시되어 가는 추세 속에서 소비 경향에 영향을 주는 핵심 요인으로 단순한 기능을 넘어서는 감성적 요인이 크게 대두되고 있다. 하지만 인터페이스에 관련된 대부분의 연구들이 아직 논리적 정보설계와 사용자의 인지적 반응에만 중점을 두고 있을 뿐이다. 본 연구는 사용자 인터페이스에 스토리텔링을 적용시킴으로써 사용자들의 감성적 경험에 대한 새로운 개선 방안을 제시하고 검증 하고자 하였다. 80명의 실험참가자들을 대상으로 논리적 접근 방식을 적용한 두 종류의 인터페이스들과 스토리텔링 방식을 적용한 두 종류의 인터페이스들을 사용하게 한 후 실험참가자들의 감성적 경험, 만족도, 편리성을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 사용자들은 스토리텔링을 적용한 인터페이스에 대해 더 높은 감성적경험, 만족도와 사용 편리성을 표시하였다. 또한 이러한 결과는 사용자의 개인의 감성강도에 따라 더욱 뚜렷이 나타났다. 감성 강도가 높은 사용자들은 스토리텔링을 적용한 인터페이스에서 감성 강도가 낮은 사용자들에 비해 더 강한 감성적 경험을 하고 더 높은 수준의 만족도를 표시하는 것으로 나타났다.

항암화학요법을 받는 유방암 환자의 극복력 구조모형 (The Structural Equation Model on Resilience of Breast Cancer Patients Receiving Chemotherapy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct and test a structural equation model on resilience of breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Methods: Participants were 204 patients with breast cancer who received chemotherapy treatment. They participated in a structured interview, which included social support, depression, symptom experience, self-efficacy, hope, resilience, and infection prevention behaviors. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 20.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results: Lower depression (${\gamma}=-.33$, p=.020) and symptom experience (${\gamma}=-.31$, p=.012) and higher self-efficacy (${\gamma}=.32$, p=.005) and hope (${\gamma}=.48$, p=.016) were influenced by higher social support. Greater resilience was influenced by lower symptom experience (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.016), higher self-efficacy (${\beta}=.49$, p=.023), and higher hope (${\beta}=.46$, p=.012), and these predictors explained 66.7% of variance in resilience. Greater resilience (${\beta}=.54$, p =.009) made an impact on greater infection prevention behaviors. Resilience mediated the relations of symptom experience (${\beta}=-.10$ p=.013), self-efficacy (${\beta}=.27$, p=.006) and hope (${\beta}=.25$, p=.009) with infection prevention behaviors. These predictors explained 24.9% of variance in infection prevention behaviors. Conclusion: The findings of the study suggest that breast cancer patients with greater resilience who are receiving chemotherapy participate in increased infection prevention behaviors. Further research should be conducted to seek intervention strategies that improve breast cancer patients' resilience.

메디컬 스킨케어 종사자의 실무경력에 따른 직무분석 (Job analysis according to the working experience of medical skincare workers)

  • 본 연구는 메디컬 스킨케어 종사자의 실무 경력에 따라 직무의 적합도와 중요도, 빈도, 난이도에 차이가 있는지 실증적으로 분석하여 관계를 살펴봄으로써 현장에서 효율적인 직무를 수행하는데 도움이 되는 것을 목적으로 한다. 분석방법으로 빈도 분석, 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 일원 변량 분석 등을 실시하였고, 메디컬 스킨케어 종사자의 실무경력에 따른 직무의 적합도를 살펴본 결과 피부미용 전공 교육이 메디컬 스킨케어에서 스킨케어 직무에서 적합하게 활용되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또 직무의 실제 현장에서 빈도가 높을수록 중요도가 높았고, 실무 경력에 따라 난이도가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 의료 미용산업이 성장할수록 메디컬 스킨케어 종사자들의 직무에 대한 다양한 연구들이 진행되어 전문성 있는 직무로 체계화시킬 수 있어야 할 것이다.

운동몰입의 경험과 내적동기 저하에 관한 고찰 (Integrative Literature Review of Flow Experience and Intrinsic Motivation Decrease)

  • 몰입은 내적동기와 관련성이 큰 개념으로 스포츠심리학에서 스포츠 수행에 있어 긍정적인 요소로 여겨진다. 몰입과 중독의 상관관계에 대한 연구들이 선행되었지만, Flow와 Commitment의 개념이 혼동돼 사용되었다. 또한 몰입이 장기적으로 미치는 영향에 대해서는 충분한 연구가 이루어지지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구는 선행연구들을 통해 몰입의 중독성을 확인하였으며, 기존의 연구들과 다르게 장기적으로 몰입이 내적동기를 저하시킬 수 있다는 새로운 가설을 제시하고자 한다. 적응수준 이론과 한계효용체감의 법칙의 관점에서는 몰입을 통해 얻는 만족감이 지속적으로 감소하게 된다. 어느 시점에서 이러한 개인의 발전은 한계를 느끼게 되며, 몰입을 경험하지 못하는 시점에 도달하게 된다. 하지만 개인은 몰입을 다시 경험하고자 하는 욕구가 존재하므로 지속적으로 노력할 것이다. 그러나 몰입 경험의 실패로 이어질 때 반복적인 실패는 슬픔으로 작용하여 내적동기를 약화시키게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구를 통해서 몰입의 부정적인 요소와 장기적인 관점에서 미치는 영향에 대한 연구들이 필요하다고 사료된다.

A Review of Cross-Cultural Design to Improve User Engagement for Learning Management System

  • Online learning has become a widespread practice for students and teachers in acquiring and delivering knowledge. Education platforms have become prominent in the 21st century with the evolution of technology and the accessibility to online learning. As a result, various learning management systems (LMSs) have been introduced to facilitate online interaction between users. For instance, communication between students and teachers at school. However, there is a need to emphasise user engagement in LMS to enhance the online learning experience amongst students since the design of LMS affects user engagement. This study utilised a systematic literature review (SLR) that examined 74 articles published between 2014 and 2023, focusing on cross-cultural design (CCD), user-centred design (UCD), and usability in LMS design. This study aimed to review CCD and its association with UCD, user interfaces (UI), and user experience (UX) in the context of LMS. CCD has been introduced as an approach to design that embraces different cultures, languages, and social contexts, while UCD plays a significant role in defining user engagement for LMS. All elements in CCD and UCD help create a better user experience for LMS. Besides, this study reviewed the usability of selected LMS to give insights to developers in creating a positive user engagement. An insight into cultural factors that influence the usability of LMS has revealed their value for LMS design, such as the UI/UX elements. Initially, this study may guide future researchers in improving education quality by emphasising CCD and LMS usability, which can enhance user engagement.

노인 구강건강증진 활동에 대한 치과위생사의 학습경험과 수행경험에 따른 수행가능성 및 필요성 조사 (A study on the performance and necessity of dental hygienists for oral health promotion activities for the elderly according to their learning experiences and performance experiences)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the awareness of the performance and necessity of oral health promotion activities and seek ways to revitalize the professional role of dental hygienists in oral healthcare for the efficient oral care of the elderly. Methods: Eighty-five dental hygienists in charge of oral health promotion projects at public health centers and 38 dental hygienists in network dental clinical trials were investigated for their learning experience, performance experience, feasibility, and necessity of dental hygienists for general and oral health service items for the elderly. The collected data were analyzed using frequency analysis, chi-square test, and Mann-Whitney U test. Results: The degree of performance possibility according to the learning experience and performance experience of the dental hygienist for the whole body and oral health promotion activity items for the elderly showed that the degree of performance possibility was higher among those with experience compared to the non-experienced person, and it was statistically significantly higher (p<0.05). Conclusions: The dental hygienist's professional oral health service is a necessary system to improve practical knowledge and skills and to provide a wide range of professional oral health services for the elderly.

체험매장의 지각된 용이성과 유용성이 만족과 충성도에 미치는 영향 (The influence of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of experience store on satisfaction and loyalty)

  • 본 연구에서는 전통적 유통과 차별되는 체험매장의 혁신적 속성에 대한 지각 (지각된 유용성, 지각된 용이성)이 소비자의 만족과 충성도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고, 이에 대한 소비자 특성의 조절효과를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 지각된 유용성과 용이성은 소비자의 만족과 충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 지각된 용이성과 유용성 중 만족에 더 강한 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인은 용이성인 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 체험매장의 마케팅과 프로모션에는 이 매장을 이용함으로써 더욱 빠르고 쉽게 원하는 제품을 구입할 수 있다는 편리함을 강조하는 것이 유리할 것이라 판단된다. 그리고 혁신적 속성에 대한 소비자 특성(월평균 스포츠 용품/의류 구입 금액, 스포츠 용품/의류를 구입하는 유통을 선택할 때 직접 제품을 체험해보는 것을 중요하게 생각하는 정도)의 조절효과는 검증되지 않았다. 이는 아직까지 우리나라에 체험매장 자체가 생소한 개념이므로 그에 대한 만족, 충성도 형성과정이 소비자의 특성에 따라 조절될 만큼 충분하게 경험되어지지 않았기 때문이라 풀이된다.

노인의 낙상경험에 따른 낙상 두려움, 낙상 효능감, 낙상예방행위 비교 (Comparison of Fear of Falling, Self-Efficacy of Falling and Fall Prevention Behavior According to the Fall Experience of the Elderly)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was conducted to compare the fear of falling, self-efficacy and fall prevention behavior according to the fall experience of the elderly. Methods : The subjects of this study were 162 elderly in B metropolitan city. The data collection period was from September 10th to November 30th of 2018. The collected data was processed using SPSS 21.0 and was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test. Results : The mean scores for fear of falling according to the fall experience and no fall experience of the elderly were 2.28±0.63 and 1.84±0.64 respectively and the results showed that fear of falling (t=4.26, p<.001) and self-efficacy of falling (t=3.88, p<.001) were significantly different between the two groups, but the mean scores for fall prevention behavior according to the fall experience and no fall experience of the elderly were 1.63±0.20 and 1.67±0.17 respectively and there was no significantly different in fall prevention behavior (t=-1.16, p=.25). Fear of falling according to the fall experience was significantly different by age (F=3.25, p<.05) and physical activity related to daily life (F=13.22, p<.001). Self-efficacy according to the fall experience was significantly different by age (F=3.03, p<.05), income per month (F=3.74, p<.05) and physical activity related to daily life (F=11.99, p<.001). But fall prevention behavior was no significantly different of general characteristics. Fear of falling according to the no fall experience was significantly different by age (F=3.37, p<.05), marriage status (F=3.37, p<.05), education level (F=5.15, p<.01), income per month (F=3.58, p<.05) and physical activity related to daily life (F=15.71, p<.001). Self-efficacy according to the no fall experience was significantly different by sex (t=2.32, p<.05), age (F=5.20, p<.01), marriage status (F=5.04, p<.01), education level (F=6.55, p<.001), income per month (F=5.99, p<.001) and physical activity related to daily life (F=18.86, p<.001). Fall prevention behavior was significantly different by marriage status (F=3.51, p<.05). Conclusion : The results of this study suggest the following : it is necessary to develop a program that can lower the fear of falling in the elderly and to increase the self-efficacy of falling, and to develop an education program that can improve the elderly's practice of fall prevention behavior regardless of the fall experience and to verify its effectiveness.

물리교육 전공 학생들의 교육실습 과정 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Process of Practicum of Student Teachers Majoring in Physics Education)

  • This study has been undertaken in the light of constructivist view of teacher education. Participant observation, unstructured interview and questionnaire were used to explore the process and the role of practicum in science teacher education. The subjects were 19 student teachers majoring in physics education; 8 had participated at boys junior high school, 11 at senior high school. The student teachers had very critical and negative perception on their school days' science lessons. They had expected to do 'better' in their practicum but there were only 3 to 5 opportunities of teaching under the umbrella of textbook. Explanation in the classroom and solving exercise problem were the main features of student teachers' lessons. Much of the lessons were similar when it is to same topic and the main reference for their lesson preparation was the textbook. The student teachers felt the design of teaching approach as the most difficult thing during their lesson preparation. They realized that teaching is harder than they thought and they should consider students' level and responses. Though they had become to have more positive perception on teaching job through their field experiences, their decision on job preference did not change. More than half did not want to be a teacher. The student teachers recognised the courses related with science education as the most useful to their teaching in practice among the program of college of education which they had taken. The experience of writing one lesson plan or teaching in front of their peers, designing a new demonstration equipment were recognised as valuable and helpful element of the courses. They proposed to reduce the amount of general education courses and to emphasize the courses relevant with science education and practicum. The limited opportunity of teaching in practicum was pointed out as problematic. Though the practicum was recognized as a 'good' experience to student teachers, it was confined by textbook and limited teaching opportunity. In conclusion, the practicum was not organized and implemented as a meaningful experience of science teaching and learning. There should be more structured studies on what kind of perceptions and experiences the student teachers had brought to the science teacher education program, how they interact with the elements of the program and how they affect to their science teaching. The structure and content of practicum also should be studied and developed so as to make practicum as a meaningful experience of science teaching and learning.
