Web-based learning is currently an active area of research and a considerable number of studies have been conducted on its application in the learning environment. However, in spite of many advances in the research and development of the educational contents, questions about how the environment affects learning remains largely unanswered. In this article, we propose a Web-based learning environment to improve the educational effect. The goal of this article is not to provide a complete system to support Web-based learning but rather to describe some meaningful strategies and fundamental design concepts that utilize information technologies to support teaching and learning.
The purpose of this study was to understand science teaching experiences of elementary school teachers who taught the system thinking-based science inquiry class. The phenomenological methods were applied to analyze four elementary teachers' meaningful experiences. The four step methods of phenomenological experience research proposed by Giorgi (1985) and interview questions developed by Seidman (1998) and Schuman (1982) were used in order to collect qualitative data. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, teachers intentionally tried to ask divergent thinking questions which promoted the system thinking in classes. The teachers used divergent thinking questions to promote their students' thinking activities and to induce students' system thinking. In addition, the receptive mood created by teachers and interactive environments had a positive effect on promoting system thinking skills. Second, teachers remarked lack of teaching and learning materials and difficulties in selecting themes of their classes in order to teach the system thinking-based science inquiry class effectively. In addition, it was very difficult for teachers to evaluate the contents and processes of students' learning correctly because there were little evaluative tools and methods readily available. The findings indicated that there were some limitations in maximizing the effects of system thinking-based science inquiry instruction due to elementary students' inappropriate process skills of inquiry activities. Findings of this study revealed significant insights about elementary school teachers' experiences regarding the system thinking-based science class.

The purpose of the research is to discuss the directions of university library services development applying virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technologies and contents. In order to achieve the goal, the research investigated university librarians' awareness and demands regarding to applying VR/AR technologies and contents to university library services. The following questions are asked via online survey method to university librarians: what kinds of necessity and awareness about VR/AR technologies they have, what kinds of competency and environment (infrastructure) are required for the services, and how to conduct continuing education for service development, etc. On the basis of the survey results, the research suggested the matters to be noted when applying VR/AR technologies and contents to university library services. Furthermore, the contents and strategies to be considered and prepared when developing a library program using VR/AR technologies and contents were discussed and follow-up research topics were suggested.
Purpose: There has been a growing recognition that person-centered care enhances the quality of life of nursing home residents with dementia. This study was conducted to develop a person-centered dementia care online education program for direct care staff in long-term care facilities. Methods: Delphi method with expert group was used to validate contents. We developed 61 draft items based on literature review. Twenty experts participated in consecutive three round surveys including 5-point Likert scale questions and open-ended questions. Based on experts' opinions, the content validity ratio for content validity and the coefficient of variation for stability were calculated. Results: Three-round Delphi surveys and additional feedback from the expert panel established a consensus of core contents: 1) dementia (7 categories), 2) person-centered care (6 categories), 3) communication (8 categories), and 4) behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (6 categories). Specific sub-categories in each category were differentiated according to the job qualifications (65 sub-categories for registered nurses, 64 sub-categories for nursing aids, and 41 sub-categories for personal care workers). Conclusion: This delphi study identified person-centered dementia education curricula, in which the person-centered approach should be a key policy priority in Korean long-term care system. Now it is urgently needed to develop education programs utilizing online platforms that enable efficient and continuous learning for long-term care staff, which can contribute to behavior changes in the person-centered dementia care approach and improvement of care quality in long-term care facilities.
The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze the student's pre-inquire and to obtain information on how to use the teaching-learning process. The specific research problem is to confirm the level of the student's pre-inquire, to identify the characteristics of each type, and to check what pre-inquire can be used in the teaching-learning process. The research was conducted on 149 children in the $3^{rd}$ and $4^{th}$ grade of elementary school, and collected a total of 2,034 inquires. As a result of analyzing three times, the students' pre-inquires accounted for 90% of Level 2 and Level 3, which are the inquires that give meaningful answers in the teaching-learning process. These results show that the pre-inquires presented before the students take up the new lesson are not low-level inquires and they can present meaningful inquires that can be used for teaching-learning. Next, as a result of analyzing the student's inquire by type, the factual question was the largest with 50%, followed by comprehension question, procedural question, application question, and prediction question. The factual and procedural questions showed that they could be used as learning activities during the teaching-learning process. Comprehension questions included in the wonderment question can be used as a learning question. And the application question is a question that can be applied to deepening activities, and the prediction question can be used in the inquiry and experiment process of learning activities.

In this study, the ways to improve the processes of training, employing and retraining secondary science teachers were investigated by a survey method. Particularly, the following five aspects of the processes were questioned to three major groups of people relevant to school science. A total of 384 responses (from 156 university teachers, 168 secondary science teachers and 64 student teachers) were analyzed through the frequency-analysis and crosstab-analysis of SPSS/$PC^+$ programme. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) middle-school science teachers and high-school science teachers are needed to be trained separately in different systems, (2) the proportions of the faculty members majoring science education and science studies in the departments for science education are needed to be increased, (3) the proportions of the courses related to science education and general sciences in university curriculum are need to be increased, (4) the period of teaching practice in schools during university time should be increased up to five or six weeks, (5) the proportions of science education and general sciences in the examination for science teachers' employment should be increased and the examination should have more subjective type questions, and (6) the programmes for retraining science teachers should have more contents on science education which are directly relevant to school science.
The Purpose of the current study is to understand population learning with coercive isomorphism in the Korean Business Groups. Can we observe isomorphic phenomena by coercive isomorphism\ulcorner Why do these happen\ulcorner What mechanisms are embedded in the coercive isomorphism. To answer these questions this study focused on the two Korea's largest Chaeblos the Samsung and Hyundai. An empirical study to compared daily routines used in these two Chaeboles and contents analysis on the founders' characteristics were performed. Three major mechanisms were suggested as main processes to impact the formation of the coercive isomorpism in the two Korean Chaebols. Research implications were discussed at the end of study.
This study aims to get basic datea on the usual dietary forms of many korean families bringing up either elementary, or junior high or senior high students. Our interest is focused on which factor is decisive in shaping their diet, which way of cooking is preferred and how the korean traditional way of diet is preserved. 407 of housewives of suweon city answered the questions, and the result shows that more than half of them (54.1%) decide the contents of their diet according to their husbands’ taste 77.4% of them regard dinner as the most important meal. The number of side dishes are usually 3 or 4 (57.2%). In preparing their diet, 41% take account of ‘taste’ first, but for many of college graduate housewives ‘nutrition’ is the primary concern. As for main dish, cooked rice (55.3%), and soybean soup (66.1%) are preferred. Both meat and fish are commonly grilled. 83.1% of them enjoy dining out once or twice a month, and when they they dine out, korean-style restaurant is preferred (43.7%).
