The after-school program proceeded for 2 hours per week for 10 weeks, of which aromatherapy was performed for 1 hour per body part. Thereafter, the participants were experimented to determine the pre - post - perception of the group of girls who did not perform aromatherapy as a control group and as a control group. Based on the results of this study, the following conclusions were obtained. First, aromatherapy was found to be a direct help to relieve menstrual pain in high school girls. Second, Aromatherapy was found to be able to help mental change in the menstrual cramps of high school girls. Third, Aromatherapy did not help the physical change of high school girls. In this regard, aromatherapy is a program that helps to relieve menstrual cramps in high school girls and can be considered a program that can be fully recommended for students with severe menstrual cramps.
In Korea, exposure to stress has been accompanied by mental pain in the process of achieving many growth along with rapid development, various social problems, and the frequency of emergency hospitalization is increasing.. In the case of mentally ill patients, "unwanted hospitalization" is a problem, and police and 119 paramedics try to suppress the body of mentally ill patients, and many problems are exposed This is because the constituent requirements of the provisions of emergency hospitalization under the Mental Health and Welfare Act do not reflect reality, and each institution has a different position on one mentally ill person, and emergency hospitalization does not proceed smoothly or leads to friction between related organizations, and the safety of the mentally ill or others is not secured. Emergency hospitalization is defined as "a person who finds a person who is presumed to be mentally ill and is at high risk of harming his or her health or safety or others," and if the situation is so urgent that he or she cannot afford time to go through the hospitalization procedure to decide on his or her own hospitalization, he or she can request emergency hospitalization with the consent of a doctor and a police officer. In this case, 119 paramedics are escorted to a psychiatric institution. This provision of emergency hospitalization poses many problems in the process of transferring to psychiatric institutions. If a police officer or 119 paramedics in charge of practice use "physical force" during the emergency hospitalization process, side effects will inevitably occur, and professional negligence can be a problem. Specifically, when exercising physical force, the minimum necessary physical restraint based on laws and regulations and proportional principles is required, and the lack of the duty of care of 119 paramedics or police officers under the laws and regulations will eventually be resolved by applying other laws and regulations. Accordingly, it will be an opportunity for mentally ill patients to be transferred to psychiatric institutions in a safe environment by changing the subject of emergency hospitalization provisions under the Mental Health Welfare Act, defining and prescribing the use of physical protection guards as the enforcement regulations of the Mental Health Act, setting the duty of care for 119 paramedics and police officers, and creating an environment for transportation so that mentally ill patients can be treated safely.
Two hundred and fifty teachers of special school (for the disabled) and 414 elementary school teachers were selected for the targets in order to compare their degrees of fatigue symptoms and to find what kind of ralationship is between subjective symptoms of fatigue and pH is the saliva. It was 30 minutes before their closing hours on April 21th, 1989 that their physical, mental and neuro-sensory symptoms and salivary pH were examined. The test results are summarized as fallows : It is observed that an interrelation between subjective fatigue and pH in their saliva shows a significant relationship between physical and neuro-sensory symptoms in a sense of statistics. The rate of subjective fatigue complained by the special teachers is higher than that by the elementary teachers. In the case of salivary pH, the special teachers' is as a whole lower than the elementary teachers'. The complain rates in each item, checked, of special teachers are generally higher than those of the elementary teachers. It is in the mental symptom related item that there are many sub-items which show significant difference. According to the average of salivary pH based on the degrees of complained symptoms shown in the pH related items, the salivary pH of the group with complained symptoms is lower than that of the group without complained symptoms. In the rate of complaints, by sex, both sexes of the special teachers show high ones, but salivary pH is low. The complain rate of mental symptoms shown by female group from the special teacher Is significantly higher(p<0.05). By age, the group in their thirties from the special teachers show the higher complain rate of mental symptoms (29.3%) and the lower salivary pH (p<0.05) than that (15.1%) of the elementary teachers belonging to the same age catagory. However, the special teachers in their forties show the lower complain rate of physical symptoms that of the elementary teachers (p<0.05). From the viewpoint of their working years, the special teachers below 14 years and elementary teachers above 15 years in their career show high complain rates. Among those who belong to the catagory of 10-14 working years, the special teachers show the higher complain rate of mental symptoms than that of their counterparts. In the case of the salivary pH, the special teachers of all working-year catagories show the higher pH than that of the elementary teachers. But there is not significantly difference. From the viewpoint of sleeping hours in the previous night of the questionaire surveyed, among those who slept for over 7 hours, the special teachers show the higher complain rate of mental symptoms with a significant difference, but the lower salivary pH than that of their counterparts. From the viewpoint of their marital status, existence of disease history, the special teachers show the higher complain rate of subjective fatigue, but the lower salivary pH than that of the elementary teachers respectively. According to the above results, the special teachers generally show the higher complain rate of subjective fatigue, the lower salivary pH, and the higher complain rate of mental symptoms. To prevent the possible accumulation of mental fatigue of the special teachers, ways and means to make use of leisure time, recreational facilities are necessarily provided. Since the degree of fatigue and salivary pH have a correlation to some extent, it is necessary that further continuous studies on the correlation between the degrees of fatigue and salivary pH should be pursued.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the educational needs of nurses and nursing students for the development of a simulation module of home visiting care for frail, elderly people. Methods: Focus group interviews were conducted with 15 home visiting nurses working in public health centers and 14 nursing students who experienced home visiting from September 10 to October 10, 2018. Results: Bloom's taxonomy of learning objectives, namely, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains was used as a framework for data analysis. The defined educational needs for each domain were as follows: "understanding frail, elderly people" for the cognitive domain; "intervention for mental health" and "building a therapeutic relationship" for the affective domain; and "nursing skills", "health education for healthy lifestyles", "referral to the community resource connection", "protection for visiting nurses" for the psychomotor domain. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, a simulation module of home visiting care for frail, elderly people can be developed and used for nursing students and nurses to strengthen the capacity for home visiting care.
Although experts have called for increased collaboration between families and school systems, the actual programs for such efforts were not introduced. Thus, this study attemps to develop school-based parent education program for home-school collabration. PEP was developed through the circular process, which consist of planning, design, enactment, and evaluation. The group process of PEP was analyzed qualitatively and the effectiveness of outcomes was examined by nonparametric statistical analysis. Two factors contributed to success of PEP were as follows: 1) Increased homogenities, such as children's developmental stage, same school enrollment, and sense of community belongingness. 2) Consistency and continuity between PEP and Mental Health Prevention Program for students. Through the PEP based on these factors, parents' strong commitment was established and tangible results such as increased knowlege and fluent coping skills regarding children's problematic behaviors were found. Implications for home-school collaboration were explored, as are recommendations for how PEP can be prepared to link between families and schools.

Purpose: This study examined the characteristics of preparation to perform activities of suicide prevention according to professional type. Methods: A structural survey was conducted from Dec. 10, 2012 to Jan. 4, 2013 for 355 participants working at suicide prevention institutions in S city. The data were analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: Self-evaluation knowledge of characteristics was a significant distance depending on education and economic status. Participants were classified according to four groups based on professional type; public health nurse, social worker, fire officer, and administrative staff. Significant differences in experiences in suicide, the several items of self-evaluation knowledge, and the preparation to perform activities of suicide prevention were observed according to professional type (p<.05). Correlation among the experience, self-evaluation knowledge and preparation to perform activities of suicide prevention showed a positive correlation in public health nurse, social worker, and administrative staff (p<.05). In all professional types, the variable that predicted preparation to perform activities of suicide prevention was self-evaluation knowledge (p<.001). Conclusion: Tailor-made suicide prevention programs that affect changes in preparation to perform activities of suicide prevention should be developed by professional types.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between health knowledge, health attitude, social support, self-efficacy, and health promotion behaviors among nursing students in medically underserved areas using the Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills Model, as well as to identify the factors influencing health promotion behaviors. The study was conducted from October 1 to October 20, 2022, with 157 nursing students residing in medically underserved areas G. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0 program, including descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the factors affecting health promotion behaviors were school life satisfaction, stress management, social support, and self-efficacy, with social support being the most significant factor. The total explanatory power was 84.9%. Based on these results, we hope to develop a health promotion program that can increase the interest of nursing students in health promotion and encourage active participation in health behaviors, which can contribute to becoming a healthy nurse.
Since the 1960s, the United States' (U.S.) deinstitutionalization policy has reinstated people with mental illness into communities. Unfortunately, when untreated, some people with psychiatric disorders become homeless, and some commit serious crimes during a psychological crisis. Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT), also known as Kendra's Law in New York and Laura's Law in California, provides treatment, services and support to people with mental illness in the community. AOT has repeatedly been found effective and is recognized as an evidence-based practice. The response to the mental health crisis (crisis intervention) in the U.S. has also been successful in preventing worsening mental illness and related criminality and other issues. This paper provides an opportunity to create a platform from which to learn how to successfully apply the AOT and crisis intervention of the U.S. to South Korea within the cultural and societal context when establishing social services for people with mental illness in South Korea's communities.
Objectives: Adolescent suicide is a global problem. This study aimed to identify associations between parental marital status and suicidal behavior. Methods: This study analyzed 118 715 middle and high school students from the 13th and 14th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey. The odds ratios (ORs) of suicidal ideation, planning, and attempts were calculated based on parental marital status, living situation, and socioeconomic factors. The data were analyzed using multiple logistic regression. Results: When compared to those living with 2 married biological parents, the ORs of suicidal ideation among adolescents living with either remarried or no parents were 1.34 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.17 to 1.53) and 1.36 (95% CI, 1.11 to 1.66), respectively. For suicidal planning, the OR of those living with 1 remarried biological parent was 1.24 (95% CI, 1.01 to 1.52), and that of those living without parents was 1.28 (95% CI, 0.95 to 1.73), when compared to adolescents living with 2 married biological parents. For suicide attempts, when compared to adolescents with 2 married biological parents, the OR of those living with 1 remarried biological parent was 1.48 (95% CI, 1.17 to 1.87) and that of those living without parents was 2.02 (95% CI, 1.44 to 2.83). For adolescents living with 1 remarried biological parent, suicidal behavior was strongly associated with having no siblings and were weakly associated with not living with grandparents. Conclusions: Suicidal behavior among adolescents was associated with the remarriage and loss of parents. Therefore, special attention and interventions are needed for adolescents in those situations.

Objectives: Although adolescents appear less vulnerable to coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the side effects of this pandemic can still be devastating. Bullying and suicidality are significant global issues with detrimental effects on young people, particularly during school closure. This study aimed to identify the relationship between bullying and suicide risk among adolescents in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on adolescents aged 14-18 years in May 2020 in Bandung, Indonesia, using a web-based closed survey. The Adolescent Peer Relations Instrument and the Suicide Behavior Questionnaire-Revised were used to measure bullying and risk of suicide. Multinomial logistic regression analysis was performed. Results: This study included 268 participants in 2020 and 175 participants in 2019. In 2020, the prevalence of perpetrators and victims of bullying combined was 74.6%. Meanwhile, in 2019, the prevalence of perpetrators and victims of bullying combined was 82.9%. Risk of suicide increased from 26.1% in 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic) to 36.5% in 2020 (during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic). The risk of perpetrators and suicide victims was higher than that of perpetrators and victims alone (odds ratio [OR]=4.0, 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.5-6.6 vs. OR=1.3, 95% CI=1.0-2.9 and OR=1.6, 95% CI=1.1-2.8, respectively). Conclusion: Bullying can enhance the likelihood of suicide among adolescents in Indonesia, and the risk was highest for the combination of victims and perpetrators. It is very important to provide early risk prediction for youths with bullying behavior and improve the knowledge and understanding of families and schools regarding the negative effects of bullying behavior.
