산림복지 서비스에 대한 초등교사의 인식 및 학교기반의 산림활용 건강증진사업 활성화 방안 (Elementary School Teachers' Awareness of Forest Welfare Services and Promotion of Strategies for School-based Health Promotion Programs Using the Forest)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the perceptions toward school forest programs related to forest welfare services in elementary schools and suggest strategies to activate new programs. Methods: A mixed method research was performed. Four teachers and one forest therapist participated in a focus group interview; 162 teachers answered a survey. Results: The teachers were aware of the effects of the forest program, but there were some barriers, including the question of whether there was an accessible forest, school forest management problems, the risk of teachers' work overload, and the lack of program diversification for elementary students. Solutions included the expansion of school forests and forest facilities available to students, development of a variety of programs, provision of appropriate information on available facilities, and cooperation with educational institutions for institutionalization and increased effectiveness of school-based forest utilization programs. In addition, a scientific basis for data accumulation is needed. Conclusion: The Ministry of Forestry is cooperating with the Ministry of Education and local education offices to activate a forest-use health promotion program for elementary school students. Additionally, to utilize the forests in regular education courses, teachers should strive to spread positive awareness of forests.

A Study on the Diffusion Strategies of Wood Culture Using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)

  • The diffusion strategies of wood culture were established using the analytic hierarchy process, to prepare a diffusion plan of wood culture and wood utilization in response to climate change due to global warming. 'Standardization of wood culture', 'Valuation of wood culture', and 'Habituation of wood culture' were set as three major implementation strategies and priorities were evaluated. As a result, it was analyzed in the following order: 'Development of systematic education programs for each age group for rational and efficient use of eco-friendly wood materials and development of wood education standard guidelines linked to the curriculum', 'Preparation of scientific basis data on human compatibility and eco-friendliness of wood to ensure the reliability of wood and wood products', and 'Establishment of monitoring and improvement plan through the designation as a model school'. Through this, it was determined that an educational environment, changes in public attitudes through publicity, and expanding opportunities to use wood and wood products were necessary for wood culture diffusion. The results of this study can be used as basic data to derive the diffusion strategies of wood culture and establish a roadmap and policy implementation strategy to revitalize wood culture.

기후변화적응을 위한 기상특보 인지도 및 활용도 분석: 건조특보를 중심으로 (Analysis of Utilization and Perception of Special Weather Reports for Climate Change Adaptation: Focus on Dryness Advisory and Warning)

  • This study aims to find the perception and utilization of the citizen about the dryness watch warning (DWW) among special weather reports. For this we have made up a descriptive questionnaire including the perception, utilization of special weather reports. Using the SPSS 17.0 program, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe test were used to analyze the collected data. The results are as follows; The perception of DWW is measured by 4 point Likert scale and the average is $15.97{\pm}3.70$ (percentile=57.0). This value shows that the awareness level is not that high and according to the occupation, college students show the lowest awareness and housewives show the highest awareness. According to the age, the teens and twenties show the lowest awareness and fifties and sixties show the highest awareness. Although the perception of the teens and college students are rather poor, there were many positive answers that it is necessary to establish the advanced disaster prevention plan according to the questionnaire about the utilization of DWW. Therefore, if we come up with an effective plan to improve the perception than we can expect a large-effect in terms of fire and forest fire prevention. The perception of DWW can be improved by providing weather information and weather related education program on TV or internet which have the high level of preference. Also, it is necessary to provide online and offline program of advertising education and disaster management education through the weather forecast bureau which is the host organization of delivering weather information.

초, 중등 학교 숲 활용 교육을 위한 IT 융합 방안 탐색 (An Exploration of IT Convergence Methods for School Forests Education)

  • 본 연구는 초, 중등 교육에서 IT 융합을 통한 학교 숲 활용 교육 방안을 탐색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 학교 숲 활용 교육에 대한 선행 연구를 분석하여 기존의 학교 숲 활용 교육의 문제점을 파악하였으며 초, 중등 교육 전문가의 인터뷰를 통해 학교 숲 활용 교육에 대한 요구를 분석하였다. 기존의 문제점과 요구 분석을 통해 IT융합을 통한 학교 숲 활용 교육 방안을 제시하였으며 전문가의 내용 검토를 통해 적합성을 탐색하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 동식물의 수집 및 관찰, 재배 및 수확, 간단한 공예 활동으로 이루어진 기존의 교육에 더하여 Hands-on Activity 중심의 IT 융합 수업을 제안하였다. 둘째, 다양한 재료, 피지컬 컴퓨팅 도구, 프로그래밍 툴을 활용한 IT융합 수업을 제안하였다. 셋째, 초등학교 실과의 식물 가꾸기, 동물 기르기 관련 단원과 중, 고등학교 기술 가정과의 생명기술 관련단원 등 2015 개정 교육과정과 연계한 수업 뿐 아니라 중학교 자유학기 활동 및 방과 후 학교 등 다양한 교육활동에서 활용할 수 있는 방안을 포함하였다. 학교 숲은 농업, 생명기술 관련 영역의 학습을 위해 매우 중요한 학습 공간이다. 따라서, 제시된 IT융합 수업을 통해 창의 융합 인재 양성을 목표로 하는 2015 개정 교육과정의 목표를 달성할 수 있는 교육 공간으로서의 가치가 재발견됨은 물론이며 재평가되는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.

A new yellow Camellia (Theaceae) from central Vietnam

  • Camellia pukhangensis (Theaceae), a new species with yellow flowers from Quy Hop District, Nghe An Province, Vietnam, is described and illustrated. Camellia pukhangensis has nearly sessile leaves with an attenuate to caudate apex, cordate base, hirsute abaxial surface, hirsute adaxial midrib, hirsute petiole, deltate to ovate perules hairy on the outer surface, bright yellow orbicular to obovate petals hairy on the outer surface, androecium pubescent to two-thirds from the base, pubescent ovoid ovary with three (or four) locules and three (or four) pubescent styles free to the base. The morphological data support the provisional placement of C. pukhangensis in Camellia sect. Archecamellia Sealy.

Social media impact in the Match: A survey of current trends in the United States

  • Background Applicants to integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery (PRS) residency in the United States spend exorbitant amounts of time and money throughout the interview process. Outside of first-hand experience through a visiting rotation, applicants utilize various resources in learning about a program. Today's applicants are "Millennials," the demographic cohort raised during the information age and proficient with digital technology. The authors evaluated whether programs have a presence on social media, and whether applicants are following these accounts. Methods An online survey was sent to applicants to a single integrated plastic surgery program evaluating basic demographics, social media utilization, and sources of information accessed throughout the residency application process. A manual search of popular social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter) was performed in October 2019. Accounts affiliated with integrated PRS programs were identified and analyzed. Results Eighty-four of 222 applicants (37.8%) completed the survey. Ninety-six percent of applicants were within the Millennial demographic. Ninety-six percent of applicants had some form of social media presence, with Facebook (90%) and Instagram (87%) being the most popular platforms. Seventy-three percent of applicants reported following a PRS residency social media account. As of October 2019, 59 integrated residency programs (73%) have active Instagram accounts. Conclusions Applicants still rely on the program website when researching potential residencies, but social media is being rapidly adopted by programs. Program social media accounts should be used as a dynamic form of communication to better inform applicants of program strengths and weaknesses.

공유림(公有林) 경영합리화(經營合理化)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) - 태백시(太白市) 공유림(公有林)을 중심(中心)으로 - (A Study on the Rationalization of Public Forest Management - A Model Analysis of Taebaek City Area -)

  • 본 연구는 강원도(江原道) 도유림(道有林)과 태백시(太白市) 시유림(市有林)의 경영상태(經營賞態)와 문제점을 파악하고 그에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하는데 있으며 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 강원도(江原道) 도유림(道有林)은 25,896ha, 태백시(太白市) 공유림(公有林)은 550ha였으며, 태백시(太白市) 공유림(公有林) 중 도유림(道有林)은 470ha, 태백시(太白市) 사유림(私有林)은 80ha로서 그의 관리는 태백시(太白市)에서 담당하고 있다. 2. 태백시(太白市) 공유림(公有林) 550ha를 현지 조사한 결과 창죽동 산 1-2번지의 443ha를 제외하고 나머지 107ha는 32개 지역으로 소규모(小規模)로 분산(分散)되어 있었다. 3. 창죽동 산 1-2번지에 소재하고 있는 산림의 경우 석탄공사에서 대부를 받아 석탄을 채취하고 있으며, 나머지 공유림(公有林)은 소규모(小規模)로 분산(分散)되어 있어 산림경영(山林經營) 생산기반(生産基盤)이 취약하고 경영관리(經營管理) 상태는 매우 열악한 것으로 나타났다. 이와같은 점을 고려해 볼 때 태백시(太白市) 공유림(公有林)의 합리적(合理的)인 경영(經營)을 위해서는, 첫째, 소규모(小規模)로 분산(分散)되어 있는 공유림(公有林)을 단지화(團地化) 할 필요가 있고, 둘째, 체계적(體系的)인 경영(經營) 계획(計劃)을 수립하여 지속적인 목재생산(木材生産)이 가능하도록 유도하여야 하며, 셋째, 자연휴양림(自然休養林) 조성(造成)을 고려한 합리적(合理的) 산지이용(山地利用) 체계(體系)를 강구하여야 할 것이다.

유아의 숲동화 구연학습이 자기감정조절과 공동체의식 함양에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Oral Narration Learning for Children's Forest Fairy Tale on Self-Emotional Regulation and Community Spirit Cultivation)

  • 본 연구는 유아의 숲동화 구연학습이 자기감정조절과 공동체의식 함양에 미치는 효과를 밝히는데 목적을 갖고 S시소재 유아 40명을 대상으로 8주간 16회기 실험 연구 하였다. 연구결과 전체적으로 숲동화 구연학습을 한 실험집단이 통제집단보다 높게 나타나 실험집단의 숲동화 구연학습의 유용성을 입증해주었다. 특히 공동체의식 요인의 기본생활 습관과 공동체 의식, 사회성발달, 자기인식에서 모두 실험집단이 비교집단에 비해 높게 나타났다. 이는 숲 체험 활동에서의 자연과에서 소통과 함께 동화소재를 자연 속에서 읽으면서 듣고 직접 체험함으로써 유아들이 동화를 통해 주의 집중하고 자연과의 교감 속에 자연 그대로 느끼는 순수한 감성을 바탕으로 또래와 함께 상호 협력하고 공존을 위한 관계 향상은 물론 원칙과 질서를 지키고 이를 실천하려는 소중한 마음이 동화 속 이야기와 함께 자기감정조절까지 증가시킴을 실증해준 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이같은 결과는 숲 활동에 있어 단순한 놀이나 교육 중심에서 벗어나 숲동화 연계 활동을 통해 감정조절 뿐만 아니라 공동체의식 향상에도 긍정적인 교육효과를 가져다 줌에 따라 이의 활용이 보다 확산될 필요가 있음을 시사한 것으로 평가할 수 있다.

인공지능 기반 평가 도구를 이용한 한의사의 체질 진단 평가 및 활용 방안에 대한 연구 (Research on the Evaluation and Utilization of Constitutional Diagnosis by Korean Doctors using AI-based Evaluation Tool)

  • Since Traditional Korean medicine (TKM) doctors use various knowledge systems during treatment, diagnosis results may differ for each TKM doctor. However, it is difficult to explain all the reasons for the diagnosis because TKM doctors use both explicit and implicit knowledge. In this study, an upgraded random forest (RF)-based evaluation tool was proposed to extract clinical knowledge of TKM doctors. Also, it was confirmed to what extent the professor's clinical knowledge was delivered to the trainees by using the evaluation tool. The data used to construct the evaluation tool were targeted at 106 people who visited the Sasang Constitutional Department at Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital at Gangdong. For explicit knowledge extraction, four TKM doctors were asked to express the importance of symptoms as scores. In addition, for implicit knowledge extraction, importance score was confirmed in the RF model that learned the patient's symptoms and the TKM doctor's constitutional determination results. In order to confirm the delivery of clinical knowledge, the similarity of symptoms that professors and trainees consider important when discriminating constitution was calculated using the Jaccard coefficient. As a result of the study, our proposed tool was able to successfully evaluate the clinical knowledge of TKM doctors. Also, it was confirmed that the professor's clinical knowledge was delivered to the trainee. Our tool can be used in various fields such as providing feedback on treatment, education of training TKM doctors, and development of AI in TKM.
