  • In this paper, TE(transverse electric) scattering problems by a conductive strip grating between a double dielectric layer are analyzed by applying the PMM(point matching method) known as a numerical method of electromagnetic fileld. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients, the scattered electromagnetic fields are expanded in a series of Floquet mode functions, and the conductive boundary condition is applied to analysis of the conductive strip. The numerical results for the normalized reflected and transmitted power are analyzed by according as the width and spacing of conductive strip, the relative permittivity and thickness of the double dielectric layers, and incident angles. The most normalized reflected powers of the sharp variations in minimum values are scattered in direction of the other angles except incident angle. The numerical results for the presented structure of this paper are shown in good agreement compared to those of the existing papers.

  • In this paper, n this paper, E-polarized electromagnetic scattering problems by a resistive strip grating between a double dielectric layer are analyzed by applying the PMM(Point Matching Method) known as a numerical method of electromagnetic fileld. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients, and the resistive boundary condition is applied to analysis of the resistive strip. The numerical results for the normalized reflected and transmitted power are analyzed by according as the relative permittivity and thickness of the double dielectric layers, and the resistivity of resistive strip. Overall, when the resistivity of the resistive strip decreased or the relative permittivity of the dielectric layer increased, the reflected power increased, and as the reflected power increased, the transmitted power decreased relatively. Especially, as the relative permittivity of double dielectric layer increases, the minimum value of the variation curve of the reflected power shifted in the direction that the grating period decreased. The numerical results for the presented structure of this paper are shown in good agreement compared to those of the existing papers.

  • In this paper, thr H-polarized scattering problems by a resistive strip grating in a grounded double dielectric layer are analyzed by applying the PMM(point matching method) known as a numerical method of electromagnetic fileld. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients, the scattered electromagnetic fields are expanded in a series of Floquet mode functions, and the resistive boundary condition is applied to analysis of the resistive strip. The %error of the convergence of the reflected power according to the relative permittivity of the dielectric layer and the size of the number of rows in the square matrix was compared, as the size of the number of rows in the square matrix increased, the accuracy of the reflected power increased. As the resistivity of the resistive strip decreased, the thickness of the dielectric layers decreased, and the relative permittivity of the dielectric layers increased, the reflected power increased. The numerical results for the presented structure of this paper having a grounded double dielectric layer are shown in good agreement compared to those of the existing papers.

  • In this paper, TM electromagnetic scattering problems for conductive strip grating between grounded double dielectric layers are analyzed by applying the FGMM(fourier galerkin moment method) and PMM(point matching method) known as a numerical method of electromagnetic field. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients. In order to deal with the problem of grounded double dielectric layers, numerical calculation was performed only when the thickness and relative permittivity of the dielectric layers had the same value. As the thickness of the dielectric layer and the relative permittivity increased, the overall reflected power increased, and the minimum values of the reflected power shifted in the direction of increasing the strip width. The numerical results obtained by applying the numerical methods of FGMM and PMM to the structure proposed in this paper agree very well.

  • We have written a code called QDM_sca, which numerically solves the problem of radiative transfer in an anisotropically scattering, spherical atmosphere. First we formulate the problem as a second order differential equation of a quasi-diffusion type. We then apply a three-point finite differencing to the resulting differential equation and transform it to a tri-diagonal system of simultaneous linear equations. After boundary conditions are implemented in the tri-diagonal system, the QDM_sca radiative code fixes the field of specific intensity at every point in the atmosphere. As an application example, we used the code to calculate the brightness of atmospheric diffuse light(ADL) as a function of zenith distance, which plays a pivotal role in reducing the zodiacal light brightness from night sky observations. On the basis of this ADL calculation, frequent uses of effective extinction optical depth have been fully justified in correcting the atmospheric extinction for such extended sources as zodiacal light, integrated starlight and diffuse galactic light. The code will be available on request.

  • In order to set up radar cross section(RCS) reduction factors for a target, the scattering point position of the target should be identified through inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) image analysis. For this purpose, ISAR image focusing is important. Maritime ship is non-linear maneuvering in the sea, however, which blur the ISAR image. To solve this problem, translational and rotational motion compensation are essential to form focused ISAR image. In this paper, hourglass and ISAR image analysis are performed on the collected data in the sea instead of using the prediction software tool, which takes much time and cost to make computer-aided design(CAD) model of the ship.

  • A new ultrasonic-assisted micellar extraction and cloud-point pre-concentration method was developed for the determination of major saikosaponins, namely saikosaponins -A, -C and -D, in Radix Bupleuri by high performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detection (HPLC-ELSD). The non-ionic surfactant Genapol X-080 (oligoethylene glycol monoalkyl ether) was chosen as the extraction additive and parameters affecting the extraction efficiency were optimized. The highest yield was obtained with 10% (w/v) Genapol X-080, a liquid/solid ratio of 200:1 (mL/g) and ultrasonic-assisted extraction for 40 min. In addition, the optimum cloud-point pre-concentration was reached with 10% sodium sulfate and equilibration at $60^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. Separation was achieved on an Ascentis Express C18 column (100 ${\times}$ 4.6 mm i.d., 2.7 ${\mu}M$) using a binary mobile phase composed of 0.1% acetic acid and acetonitrile. Saikosaponins were detected by ELSD, which was operated at a $50^{\circ}C$ drift tube temperature and 3.0 bar nebulizer gas ($N_2$) pressure. The water-based solvent modified with Genapol X-080 showed better extraction efficiency compared to that of the conventional solvent methanol. Recovery of saikosaponins ranged from 93.1 to 101.9%. An environmentally-friendly extraction method was successfully applied to extract and enrich major saikosaponins in Radix Bupleuri.

  • The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of mixed fuel composition and mass fraction on spray inner structure in evaporating transient spray under the variant ambient conditions. Spray structure and spatial distribution of liquid phase concentration were investigated using a thin laser sheet illumination technique on the three component mixed fuels. A pulsed Nd:YAG laser was used as a light source. The experiments were conducted in a constant volume vessel with optical access. Fuel was injected into the vessel with electronically controlled common rail injector. Used fuel contains i-octane($C_8H_{18}$), n-dodecane($C_{12}H_{26}$) and n-hexadecane($C_{16}H_{34}$) that were selected as low-, middle- and high-boiling point fuel, respectively. Experimental conditions are 42 MPa, 72 MPa and 112 MPa in injection pressure, $5\;kg/m^3$, $15kg/m^3$ and $30kg/m^3$ in ambient gas density, 300 K, 500 K, 600 K and 700 K in ambient gas temperature, 300 K and 368 K in fuel temperature and different fuel mass fraction. Experimental results indicated that the multi-component fuels made two phase region mixed vapor and liquid so that it would are helpful to improve combustion, for the fuels of high boiling point component could accelerate evaporation very much according as low boiling point fuel was added to high boiling point fuel.

  • In this paper, the scattered field from a perfectly conducting fractal surface by the Monte-Carlo moment method was computed. An one-dimensional fractal surface was generated by using the fractional Brownian motion model. Back scattering coefficients are calculated with different values of the spectral parameter(S$\_$0/), and fractal dimension(D) which determine characteristics of the fractal surface. The number of surface realization for the computed field, the point number, and the width of surface realization are set to be 80, 2048, and 64L, respectively. In order to verify the computed results these results are compared with those of small perturbation methods, which show good agreement between them.
