The purpose of this study is to present controversial point and reform measurements by analysing factors haying important effect on selection of upper gastrointestinal study in total health promotion. We examined 200 persons for this study, who visited for upper gastrointestinal study from January to February in 1999. We classified this group into Endoscopy, Upper gastrointestinal series, and sleeping endoscopy. We also investigated standard of satisfaction and factors having effect on selection of each study. As a results, in the motive of selection, Item of 'making accurate observation' and 'without pain' was 39.3% and 34.7%, respectively. In this study, sleeping endoscopy was 45.7%, but on the other side upper gastrointestinal series was low 22.6%(P<0.05). In the standard of preference of study, the man was 55.7% in the endoscopy, and the woman was 61.8% in the upper gastrointestinal series(P<0.05). The standard of preference of upper gastrointestinal series show that it was satisfied on the whole irrespective of sex, dwelling place, age, occupation, and level of education. In the selection of study, one's own will was showed the highest frequency, and family inducement was showed second(P<0.05). Persons over 60% were examined before the same study. Selection of upper gastrointestinal series was 47.9% of person with normal findings, and endoscopy and sleeping endoscopy was over 70% with gastritis, gastric and duodenal(P<0.01). For one's accurate selection of examination, it is important that objective and credible information should be given to a recipient for examination.
Purpose: In order to provide basic information for the development of nursing programs, health promoting behavior of students rewriting college entrance examinations was examined and factors related to health promotion were identified. Method: Data were collected by questionnaire from 804 examines in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province and were analyzed using the SAS program with t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and Pearson correlation coefficients. Result: The mean score for health promoting behavior was 2.50. The highest score for the sub-areas was harmonious relationships and the lowest was, professional health maintenance. There were significant differences in health promoting behavior according to the following general characteristics; religion, frequency of rewriting college entrance examination, economic burden, parents' education level, grade, satisfaction with parents, friends and rewriting of college entrance examinations, parents' health concernsand knowledge of health, need for health education, and health condition and chronic disease over the past year. Correlations between health promoting behavior and family support and self-esteem were positive. The variables that influenced health promoting behavior were family support ($24.5\%$), self-esteem ($11.3\%$), anxiety ($2.6\%$), and stress of studying ($0.5\%$), explaining $38.9\%$ of the total variance. Conclusion: These results will help to develop a nursing program that enhances health promoting behavior of students rewriting college entrance examinations.
The purpose of this study was to identify the degree and the relationship of the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of industrial health care services of workers. This information will provide useful data for an effective industrial health care service. The was collected from 600 data employees in Kwang-ju city & Chonnam province. The data was gathered by questionnaire from Dec 20, 1992 to Jan 20, 1993. The questionnaire was developed by the Academic Affairs of Community Health Nursing Academy. Data was analyzed by using the statistical computer package, SPSS to manipulate the data along with percentages, means, standard deviations, modes, t-test and ANOVA. The results in this study were summarized as follows: 1. General characteristics of workers: Distributions of workers was laborer(76.2%). in the 25-34 age group(50.2%), married(63.3%), males comprised(77.5%), the educational level with the highest percentage was high school graduates (71.1%), with a monthly income of 300-700 thousand won(43.8%), and has been working in the present career over seven years (31.5%). 2. The Knowledge, Attitude and Practice levels of employees about industrial health care services The levels were measured according to a five point scale. The total mean score of knowledge was 2.92 points out of 4. The following are the scores of Knowledge of special medical examination and location of industrial clinic(3.48), periodic medical examination (3.18), occupational disease(3.08), personal protective equipment (2.92), and health education(1.37). The total mean score of Attitude was 2.77 point out of 4. The following are the scores of Attitude in order of working environment (3.35), necessity of periodic medical examination and health education(3.15), the worker's perception influence on the working environment to health was high(3.11). But, the level of satisfaction in the content of periodic medical examination was low(2.19). The total mean score of Practice was 2.70 points out of 4. The scores of Practice in order were, practice of periodic medical examination(3.70), utilization of industrial clinic(2.92), and to participate in health education(1.47). 3. The relationship of general characteristics to Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of workers: Knowledge had a significant difference by sex (P<.01), marital status(P<.01), education level (P<.05) and monthly income(P<.01). Attitude was significantly different with sex(P<.05) and Practice was significantly related to monthly income (P<.01).

Purpose Recently, there has been increasing demands for clinical departments at Asan Medical center in Seoul. They want to see the results of lab tests about blood samples as soon as possible and to be reported to them on the day. As the main contents of the survey, we explained the goodness of Asan medical center's in vitro and the points to be improved. Based on this, it became an opportunity to create a positive image of In vitro laboratory. In addition, we could identify their specific requirements through the surveys. Materials and Methods In September 2016, a total of 14 questionnaire surveys were conducted for 49 clinical departments and outpatient nurses at Asan Medical center in Seoul. The survey consists of description questions to be able to express the intention of the individual and the questions made on the Likert 4 point scale. The main contents of 14 questions are composed of goodness of In Vitro laboratory and points to be improved. Results 62% answered that the best service in In Vitro laboratory was "good accuracy and reproducibility". On the other hand, as an inconvenience when requesting blood tests, 73% pointed out that "the result report time was long", which was recognized as a part to be improved. There are many contents that "The result of all tests is reported within 2 hours" on the day of the examination. In the question - 'Are there some examination results which do not coincide well with clinical observations?', 55 of 56 people answered "no". Above all, the majority answered that waiting for re-examination results is too long. This problem must be causing discomfort to the patients. Conclusion In order to improve these problems, the first thing is to increase the number of blood tests by using the current personnel, equipments and reagents to the fullest by item in Asan Medical Center's Nuclear medicine in vitro part. Secondly, in case of re-examinations, we use the "AMIS message" to show other clinical departments the reporting time. This methode improves the efficiency of work with nurses and increases satisfaction of custom service. Thirdly, the correlation was evaluated by selecting the test species that can be carried out by the shortening method. Currently, C-peptide and insulin are implemented in the reaction process to shorten 2 hours into 1 hour. Finally, we are considering purchasing new equipments for quick test results.
This study aims to improve the satisfaction level of the patient who undergoes CT contrast examination by developing and applying pretreatment process system, which not only can reduce the side effects caused by the test but also can help carry out the test smoothly. The subjects were 214 patients who booked CT contrast examination from January 2014 to February 2014 but could not carry out their test on schedule. We analyzed the reasons for the delay and conducted follow-up survey on them. We analyzed the usefulness of pretreatment process system by contemplating and developing pretreatment process system and applying it to the patients for whom follow-up survey was conducted from January 2015 to February 2015. The number of outpatients who came to the hospital form January to February 2014 was 2,846 and the number of patients who could not undergo the test was 214, accounting for 7.52% of the total. The specific reason for the delay includes 214 cases of unknown creatinine 98 with 120 minutes of average delay time, 40 cases of creatinine over 1.3(19%) with 30minutes of average delay time, 34 cases of past contrast media side effect 6% with 40 minutes of average delay time and 25 cases of lack of pretreatment such as fasting, etc. 11% with 120minutes of average delay time. The number of CT scan has been increasing ever since the development of CT and the frequency of using the contrast media is expected to increase. If we can employ pretreatment process system in order to effectively control the side effect of contrast media and help the CT contrast examination to be smoothly conducted on schedule, I'm sure we could improve the quality of our medical service and increase our patients' satisfaction who come to our CT scan room.

This study is a descriptive research study to determine the effect of job stress and job satisfaction of 119 paramedics on their job performance ability. The subjects were 119 paramedics working at the fire department who agreed to participate in the study, and data collection was conducted from July 1st to September 10th, 2020. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 23.0 program, with frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, correlation analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. As a result, the average job stress, job satisfaction, and job performance ability of 119 paramedics were 2.85±0.29 points, 3.35±0.30 points, and 3.53±0.89, respectively. A higher job satisfaction indicated higher job performance ability. An examination of the characteristics of the variables according to the general characteristics showed that the job performance ability was related significantly to the marital status, age, and first aid experience. Based on this, to establish a positive professional intuition to increase the job performance ability of 119 paramedics, lower job stress, and increases job satisfaction, it is important to raise awareness of job satisfaction, establish a job view, and promote job satisfaction through performance improvement. Program development and education programs for children should be actively carried out.rough performance improvement. Purpose: In this study, the critical pathway for laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients was developed and applied for clinical study. The effectiveness of the critical pathway was analyzed. Method: The subjects with no critical pathway services of this study were 30 laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation patients, who were hospitalized in B General Hospital in Busan from Nov. 28. 2000 to May 2. 2001. The subjects with critical pathway services of this study were 30 laparoscopic cholecystectomy operation patients, who were hospitalized in B General Hospital in Busan from June. 11. 2001 to Oct. 31. 2001. Results: 1. Development for critical pathway Preliminary critical pathway for the laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients was developed though analysis of the reference and 34 case of medical record. The items on the y-axis were assessment, test, treatment, diet, fluid, consult, medication, activity and education and the items on the x-axis were till 3days after operation. The developed critical pathway was applied in clinical field. 2. Effectiveness of application on developed critical pathwayPost operational complication was not found in neither the critical pathway using Group nor Non-using Group. Hospitalization period mean was 4.63 days for the using Group and 5.93 days for the Non-using Group(P=.001). The mean cost for medical examination and treatment for the using Group was 786,270 won, 117,454 won(12.9%) less than that of the Non-using Group, 903,724 won(P=.000). The degree of satisfaction for the using group was 3.7 points, for the Non-using Group, 3.15 points. The degree of satisfaction for the used Group was 0.55 points higher than that for the Non-using Group and there was a statistically significant difference(P=.000). Concousion: From results of this study, Using the critical pathway in the laparoscopic cholecystectomy operational patients was effective in decreasing the hospitalization period and cost, and increasing the satisfaction about the medical service.
This study divided 409 local residents in G city of Gyeongsangbuk-do into urban area and rural area, and analyzed the satisfaction with using public health center. The subjects of this study were 284 people who had experience using public health centers among 409 people. In rural areas, satisfaction with general care, oriental care, dental care, physical therapy, examination, and vaccination was low. To improve this, it is necessary to expand and improve facilities so that smooth public health services can be provided to local residents. It is necessary to implement health care policies to resolve medical inequality between urban areas and rural areas.
The purposes of the study were two-folded: to identify visitors' motivations for the history-based dark tourism and to test empirically the relationships among visitors' motivations, authenticity, emotion, satisfaction and attitude change. The online survey was conducted, from August 3rd to 20th of 2020, on visitors over 15 years old with previous experience with dark tourism within last three years. 347 individuals responded to the online survey. The study results were as follows: first, among four dark tourism visiting motivation including, motivation to research, historicalness, deviation, and self-examination, first two variables motivation to research and historicalness showed positive effect on authenticity and emotion. Second, the study found that visitors' satisfaction influenced positively towards attitude change. Finally, authenticity and emotion positively influenced attitude change. This study empirically suggests a change in attitude toward history due to the dark tour. Since historicality has been shown to have a significant influence on the attitude of history through authenticity and emotion, it is necessary to strengthen story-based experience programs at historical sites.

Background For the small glabrous skin defect, Thenar and Hypothenar skin are useful donors and they have been used as a free flap. Because of similar skin characteristics, both flaps have same indications. We will conduct comparative study for the donor morbidity of the Free thenar flap and Hypothenar free flap. Methods From January 2011 to December 2021, demographic data, characteristics of each flap, and complications using retrospective chart review were obtained. Donor outcomes of the patient, who had been followed up for more than 6 months, were measured using photographic analysis and physical examination. General pain was assessed by Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) score, neuropathic pain was assessed by Douleur Neuropathique 4 Questions (DN4) score, scar appearance was assessed by modified Vancouver Scar Scale (mVSS), and patient satisfaction was assessed on a 3-point scale. Statistical analysis was performed on the outcomes. Results Out of the 39 survey respondents, 17 patients received Free thenar flaps, and 22 patients received Hypothenar free flaps. Thenar group had higher NRS, DN4, and mVSS (p < 0.05). The average scores for the Thenar and Hypothenar groups were 1.35 and 0.27 for NRS, 2.41 and 0.55 for DN4, and 3.12 and 1.59 for mVSS, respectively. Despite the Hypothenar group showing greater satisfaction on the 3-point scale (1.82) compared with the Thenar group (1.47), the difference was not significant (p = 0.085). Linear regression analysis indicated that flap width did not have a notable impact on the outcome measures, and multiple linear regression analysis revealed no significant interaction between flap width and each of the outcome measures. Conclusion Despite the limited number of participants, higher donor morbidity in general pain, neuropathic pain, and scar formation was noted in the Thenar free flap compared with the Hypothenar free flap. However, no difference in overall patient satisfaction was found between the two groups.
