This study investigated the satisfaction level of aged patients over sixty five years old or over who were treated in a dental hospital or clinic in the metropolitan area. The difference in satisfaction level by general characteristics of aged patients and characteristics related to the treatment as well as the correlation of satisfaction level by each factors with the overall satisfaction level of the treatment were analyzed, resulting as follows. 1. Satisfaction level of dentures by each factors resulted as following. Average general satisfaction level marked $3.47{\pm}0.74$, average functional satisfaction level marked $2.66{\pm}0.83$, and aesthetic satisfaction level marked $3.78{\pm}0.65$. 2. There were no significant difference in general and functional satisfaction level by each factors from the population statistic of the participants. Aesthetic satisfaction level differed by the educational background(p=0.01). 3. There were no significant difference in general and aesthetic satisfaction level by the oral health condition as well as the treatment quality. Functional satisfaction level differed by the oral health condition(p=0.01). 4. The correlation of satisfaction level by each factors with the overall satisfaction level of the treatment differed as follows. In case each factors were satisfactory, the overall result of the treatment marked satisfactory as well. However, in case each factors were dissatisfactory, the overall result of the treatment marked dissatisfactory showing difference with the above result(p=0.000). 5. Each factor showed statistically positive correlation. Functional satisfaction level and general satisfaction level showed the highest correlation(r=0.677).

Background In esthetic surgery, understanding the factors that influence patient satisfaction is important for successful practice. We hypothesize that the factors that influence patient satisfaction include not only aesthetic and functional outcomes, but also personal factors such as the level of familiarity with factors affecting wound healing and expectations regarding aesthetic outcome. Methods One hundred patients who underwent esthetic closure after thyroidectomy were included in this study. In order to evaluate the individual characteristics of the patients, a preoperative survey was administered to the patients. We estimated the patient satisfaction six months postoperatively and assessed the aesthetic and functional outcomes using the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale. Results According to the results of correlation analysis, level of familiarity with wound healing factors had a positive correlation with satisfaction. High expectations, pain, itching, and high observer scale score had negative correlations with satisfaction. The factors that were correlated with satisfaction were included in the multiple regression analysis. Level of familiarity with wound healing factors was found to have a positive relationship with satisfaction, while itching and observer scale were found to have a negative relationship with satisfaction. After excluding 10 patients who had hypertrophic scars, only level of familiarity with wound healing factors and expectations affected satisfaction. Conclusions The level of familiarity with factors affecting wound healing and expectations were found to independently affect satisfaction. Improving patients' level of familiarity with wound healing factors and reducing their expectations by providing suitable preoperative education has the potential to improve patient satisfaction.
In this study, I examine whether differences in the levels of job satisfaction and turnover intention exist with regard to the police department size. To accomplish this, a way ANOVA analysis of variance(One-way ANOVA) was conducted. As a result, a significant differences were found in job satisfaction and turnover intention according to the department size and grade. Specifically, first, in the job satisfaction level on the department size, the smaller department size was, the lower job satisfaction level was and the bigger department size was, the higher job satisfaction level was. Second, in the turnover intention level on the department size, the result was not statistically significant. Third, in the job satisfaction level on the department grade, the lower department grade was, the higher job satisfaction level was and the higher department grade was, the lower job satisfaction level was. Fourth, in the turnover intention level on the department grade, the lower department grade was, the lower turnover intention level was and the higher department grade was, the higher turnover intention level was.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction level of students with a job tour program and their major and their adaptation to their major in an effort to provide some information on student guidance and the improvement of dental hygiene education. Methods : The subjects in this study were 269 freshmen to find out their views of job tour and the relationship of their general characteristics and motivation of major choice to satisfaction level with their major and adaptation to the department, t-test and one-way ANOVA were carried out. And correlation analysis was made to look for connections among major satisfaction, major adaptation and satisfaction with job tour. Results : 1. As for the choice of major, the biggest group of 128 students (47.6%) made a decision on their own. 2. In regard to satisfaction level with their major, the freshmen got $3.55{\pm}0.67$, and the sophomores got $3.36{\pm}0.66$. There was a significant difference according to academic year(p<0.05). 3. Concerning the links between motivation for major choice and major satisfaction, the students who chose their major in consideration of their own aptitude or personality got the highest marks of $3.96{\pm}0.64$(p<0.05). 4. As to satisfaction level with the job tour program, they were most satisfied with field trip($4.03{\pm}0.74$). 5. Regarding the correlation among major satisfaction, major adaptation and satisfaction with the job tour program, there was a significant correlation among all the variables(p<0.01). Conclusions : The students who gave priority to their own aptitude and personality in choosing their major were more satisfied with their major and were better adapted to that. Therefore it's required to consider how to boost the satisfaction level of students with their major and their adaptation to that.
PURPOSE. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of sociodemographic factors on quality of satisfaction towards denture treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS. One hundred subjects (filling inclusion criteria) who were wearing a denture for at least two months were enrolled and divided into five groups on the basis of sociodemographic variables (age, gender, literacy level, socio-economic and marital status). Questionnaires consisting of 38 questions (positive and negative attitude towards denture satisfaction) related to patients' perception of clinical outcome in different domains such as mastication, appearance, speech, comfort, health, denture care and social status were scored by the subjects. Questions reflecting positive attitude were scored as 2, 1, or 0 (yes, uncertain and no, respectively) and reversely for the negative questions. Statistical analysis was done by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (${\alpha}$= .05). RESULTS. Level of denture satisfaction was higher in age subgroup belonging to 45 - 65 years of age in relation to comfort, health and denture care. Female and male showed significant priority for denture treatment because of esthetic and function respectively. Level of satisfaction was statistically significant with literacy level. Upper high income group showed significantly higher level of satisfaction only in case of social status. Married group showed significantly higher satisfaction level only with comfort. CONCLUSION. Patients' sociodemographic variables were influential factors on denture satisfaction.
This study investgates the factors influencing the levels of consumer satisfaction and life satisfaction of resident foreigners in Korea. The data were collected through a structured self-administered survey and 545 foreigners who lived in Korea for more than 3 months, with age over 20 participated as respondents. A research framework was formulated based on the resource constraint hypothesis and the study investigated the impact of information resource(human, media and internet information source) and consumer resource(monthly income, language ability and consumer proficiency) on the levels of consumer satisfaction and life satisfaction. The results from data analysis can be summarized as follows; First, analysis of consumer problems of resident foreigners in Korea indicated that resident foreigners recognize a burden for residence cost, food expense and education fee. Most of resident foreigners in Korea are found to use small local shops most often indicating they may experience adverse market environment due to resource constraint such as language or psychological barrier, and most of the respondents answered that the most often used payment method was cash. Furthermore, resident foreigners in Korea responded that lack of language service, lack of information provision, inability to use certain goods and services are the common cause of consumer dissatisfaction, as well as price and quality problems. Second, the level of consumer satisfaction (2.96 in 4.0) is higher than the level of life satisfaction (2.63 in 4.0). Third, the level of life satisfaction is significantly influenced by Korean language ability and the level of consumer satisfaction. The level of consumer satisfaction is by the media information source usage and consumer claim experience. Fourth, the level of consumer satisfaction is found to be the variable with the strongest causal relationship with the level of life satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to examine the factors related to satisfaction of users for the order communication system (OCS). The subjects of this study were 98 clerks at Chosun university hospital. The instruments used for this study were the conveniency and the practical application of the data developed by Lee, the satisfaction level developed by Sea Seang-mi and Kim in-sook. The data was analyzed by using the t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, Stepwise Multiple Regression with SPSS 10.0 program. The mean scores of the conveniency, the practical application of the data and the satisfaction level of user for the OCS was 3.28, 3.29 and 3.34, respectively. In general characteristics of the respondents, influencing factors to the perceived the conveniency of user for the OCS were gender, career and department. Therefore, it is recommended that guidebooks of user for the OCS or various OCS programs to promote the satisfaction level of user for the OCS and to improve the satisfaction level of user for the OCS should be developed.
Purpose - The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of job satisfaction related attributes on the level of life satisfaction of individuals with disabilities. Job satisfaction related elements consist of wage level, job stability, working condition, career development, and communication. Design/methodology/approach - For the data collection, this research made use of The Korean Panel Survey of Employment for people with disabilities, with the study period consisting of 2016-2018, and the number of observations measuring 4405. For the data analysis, the ordinary least square, fixed effect, and random effect regression models were used. Findings - The results indicate that the life satisfaction of people with disabilities is positively influenced by wage satisfaction, job stability satisfaction, working condition satisfaction, career development satisfaction, and communication satisfaction. Research implications or Originality - This study informs policy makers for the design of welfare for people with disability, specifically related to their labor conditions.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the satisfaction of college students majoring in healthcare-related fields with their major and with their clinical practice on their career decision-making level and to investigate the mediating effect of their satisfaction with clinical practice on the relationship between their satisfaction with their major and their career decision-making level. The subjects were 180 college students who had completed clinical practice as part of their healthcare-related majors at C University in A-gun, B-do Province. Their completed questionnaires were collected between March 2 and March 5, 2020; 165 questionnaires were used for the data analysis. Questionnaires with missing or insincere responses were excluded. According to the results of this study, the students showed a mean of 3.99 points in their satisfaction with their major, 3.33 points in their career decision-making level, and 3.71 points in their satisfaction with clinical practice. Statistically significant positive correlations were found between the students' satisfaction with their major, their career decision-making level, and their satisfaction with clinical practice. In addition, their satisfaction with clinical practice produced a partial mediating effect on the relationship between their satisfaction with their major and their career decision-making level, and those with a higher level of satisfaction with their major and with their clinical practice also presented higher career decision-making levels. Therefore, the present study suggests that healthcare-related students' satisfaction with their major and with clinical practice should be enhanced to increase their career decision-making levels.

The purpose of this study was to describe patients satisfaction with nursing care in the emergency department and factors influencing satisfaction rates. 1. The mean score of patient satisfaction with nursing care in the emergency departments was 2.70. The mean scores of patient satisfaction with different aspects of nursing care services were 3.05 for nursing services for psychological safety: 2.67 for technical competence: 2.49 for information giving: and 1.35 for discharge teaching. 2. Patient satisfaction with nursing care services provided. according to the general characteristics of the patients. was revealed as being significantly high for the groups of patients made up of those who were male. those over 51years of age. married subjects. those with an education level of high school or below level. housewives. Buddhists. and those in the middle economic level. Patient satisfaction with nursing care according to their service utilization in the emergency departments revealed that satisfaction was significantly high for patients who were in internal medicine. neurology or psychiatry. those admitted for the first time. those for whom the distance from the department to home was less than 30 minutes. patients who visited between monday and Friday and between 8AM and 4PM. patients who did not have to wait to be seen and those who stayed in the department less than 24 hours. 3. The correlation between the patients' general characteristics. nursing service utilization of the patients in the department and their satisfaction with nursing care showed that patients with longer waiting time had lower satisfactory scores for nursing service. 4. The registered nurses working in the emergency department reported that the main reasons for low satisfaction rates included 'over worked nurses' and 'too many patients' in the emergency department. In conclusion. the results of this study suggest the necessity of developing relevant nursing interventions for discharge teaching to increase patient satisfaction with nursing care services in emergency departments: and the need for adequate support from hospital administrators to improve patients' service utilization.
