Objectives : This study aims at exposing interaction between socio-cultural influence on medicine, and the strong quest for rational explanation concerning the evil-spirit(鬼邪) related disease, namely Sasu(邪祟), in medical history. Methods : In order to apprehend the change of perception, Chinese medical classics referring directly to Sasu(邪祟), as well as Korean medical classics from Joseon dynasty were reviewed. Results : In Chinese medical texts, discriminating pseudo-sasu(類似邪祟) from evil-spirit related sasu had been one of the main concerns. And Chinese were more inclined to specify treatment plan for pseudo-sasu than handling evil spirits. On the contrary, Korean medical texts show common interests in eliminating evil spirits throughout Joseon dynasty. Conclusions : Since medicine is under the influence of socio-cultural condition, it cannot escape from the epistemology of corresponding society. Evil-spirit related disease therefore could remain within the sphere of medical discussion until very recently. If we observe the disease under the frame of culture, we not only can obtain broader view on dynamic nature of medical conceptions, but also gain better insight to understand medical classics.

The seabird plays an important role as one of the indicator species for the status of and changes within marine ecosystems. Therefore, the conservation of seabirds and their habitats is important for maintaining the structure and function of marine ecosystems. Biological invasions affect most ecosystems on oceanic islands. In particular, Rattus spp. is the invasive species with the greatest impact on the seabird population. Introduced predators, like rats, severely affect seabirds and endanger them worldwide. The breeding population of Streaked Shearwaters Calonectris leucomelas in Sasu Island is one of biggest seabird colonies in Korea, and the Norway Rat Rattus norvegicus is known as an alien predator in this island. In this study we investigated rates of burrow occupancy and breeding success of Streaked Shearwaters for 7 years, and the impact of Norway Rats on the breeding success of Streaked Shearwaters breeding in Sasu Island for 4 years. Our results show that the percentage of breeding burrows decreased according to breeding stage during several years in the monitoring period, and that predation by the Norway Rat was the main cause in hatching failures. Consequently, although our results indicate that their breeding population is not likely to decline, Norway Rats have been affecting the breeding status of Streaked Shearwaters on Sasu Island during the last decade.

Traditional web-based services that require users to browse via documents and fill out forms, are difficult to use with mobile devices. Moreover, as the web paradigm assumes active clients, further complications are introduced in cases where the server is the active entity, instead of the client. This paper presents a Server-Centric Interaction Architecture (SCIA) for wireless applications. The architecture enables servers to initiate communication with clients as well as push secure targeted data to them, in a piecemeal fashion. It further enables the development of highly collaborative wireless services with interactive user interfaces.

The purpose of this paper is as follows: The book, , which Yi Yang-o read, is to find out what kind of series it was. Second, I will examine the way of expressing the preface that I wrote after and try to analyze the part where Lee Yang-ho took interest in . Lee Yang-o was more concerned about the soft-handedness and the eavesdropping than the person named Sasu and Kyo. It can be understood in connection with the social problems of the 18th century and the situation of Lee Yang-ho. In other words, there was a great interest in the reality, the torture of the reins of war wanted the world to live, and the was a work that reminds us of the torture of reeling. I was able to find out that Lee Yang-o was involved with the problem of reality in which he lived, criticized concrete reality contradicted reality, and struck down his intention to do so.
