The purpose of the research was to compare the preference of coloration of traditional Korean dress according to tone variation of green jacket by Korean and American women college students. The results of research can be summarized as follows. Korean students preferred skirt of vivid red color and light green jacket, but American students did not like it. Korean students did not like the skirt and jacket of same color, but American students preferred it. Both Korean and American students preferred skirt and jacket of different tone. Korean students liked skirt of dull blue and jacket of light dull green, skirt of dark blue and jacket of vivid, dull green. American students liked skirt of vivid violet and jacket of vivid dull, dark green. They also liked skirt of light yellow and jacket of light green, light skirt of blue, violet and jacket of light, dull, dark green, skirt of dark blue and vivid, light, dull gueen, skirt of dark violet and jacket of dull, dark green.

The purpose of this research is to compare, according to tone variation of a red jacket, the preference of female college students from Korea and the U.S. for coloration in the traditional Korean dress. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: As to a vivid skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, students of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of vivid red skirt and vivid. dark red jacket, and vivid orange skirt and dull red jacket, and vivid yellow skirt and light dull red jacket, and vivid violet skirt and dull red jacket. As to the light skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of light red skirt and light red jacket, and light orange skirt and light red jacket. As to the dull skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of dull red skirt and vivid light dull dark red jacket, and dull yellow skirt and light dull red jacket, and dull yellow skirt and light dull red jacket, and dull green skirt and dull red jacket, and dull violet skirt and vivid light dull dark red jacket. As to the dark skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of dark red skirt and dull dark red jacket, and dark orange skirt and vivid light dull red jacket, and dark yellow skirt and dull red jacket. As to the neutral skirt according to tone variation of red jacket, student of both countries showed the different view in the preference for coloration of white skirt and vivid red jacket, and dark gray skirt and light red jacket.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of three clothing cues(neutral tone, skirt width, and skirt length of dress) on the impressions of females. The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimuli and response scales. The stimuli were 20 color pictures manipulated with three clothing cues by drawing. The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of impression formation about females included 29 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 240 undergraduate female students in Chinju city. The results of this study were as follows: By analyzing the impression of female figures by neutral tone, skirt width, and length, five factors including ability.activity, elegance, attractiveness, concentration of attention, and tenderness were identified. Among these factors, ability.activity and elegance were proved to be more important. Each impression of neutral tone with skirt width. length have significant effects on tenderness. Each impression of skirt width.length with neutral tone have significant effects on ability.activity.

This study proved that Japanese skirt(裳 'sang') during 5-8 century was introduced by korean emigrants. The skirt of the Tang dynasty(7C) which used to be worn among Japanese upper class in the Nara period(8C),is understood to be transferred through Korean as it was popularly worn in the Shilla Dynasty at the same time. Because Japan was not able to trade with Tang during 4-9 century, unless pass through the Korean peninsular, it suggests that Japanese costume was affected by Korean style of costume. At the later Heian period in Japan, Kosode was mainly worn among Japanese and wearing a skirt has to be abandoned. Instead, only the train, a part of skirt, remain as a decorative part on the back of Japanese woman's formal dress and it continued until now.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the harmony of contrast coloration of the traditional Korean dress as the subject of the study for women's college students in Korea and America. The sense of harmonious coloration for 64 colorations was evaluated based on a yellow and a green Korean jackets, to be contrast colorization, by combining four different tones, vivid, light, dull, and dark tones in a purple and a blue skirt with a yellow jacket, a red and a purple skirt with a green jacket. We tried to make sure of the cultural difference by the distinction in the perception of women's college students. in Korea and America. The result of the study is as follows. In the contrast coloration of a yellow jacket with a purple and a blue skirt, Korean women students, generally, perceived that the coloration that skirt is more dark than jacket, dull and dark tone is harmonious. On the other hand, American women students perceived harmonious skirt tone is various depending on the jacket tones. In the coloration of a green jacket and a red skirt, the women students of two countries are in common that the coloration of a vivid skirt with a vivid, a dull, and a dark jacket are harmonious. However, Korean women students indicated that a light jacket with a dark tone skirt as a harmonious coloration. American women students evaluated that various tones of coloration as a harmonious coloration. In the coloration of a green jacket and a purple skirt, Korean women students perceived that the coloration is incompatible coloration. American women students perceived the coloration is congruous in the coloration of a dull and a dark tone jacket and skirt. In the response of the perception for 64 contrast coloration, Korean students evaluated 14 sets and American students judged 28 sets as harmonized colors. Therefore, it drew the conclusion that Korean students had the sense of harmonious coloration of more narrow range than American students. There was a difference between two cultures in the standard far contrast coloration.

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of a chromatic Korean jacket and an achromatic Korean skirt on the visual image of a traditional Korean dress wearer. This experiment was designed to the 3 factors which were composed of 3 colors(red, yellow, green), 4 jacket tones(vivid, light, dull, dark), and 4 skirt colors(N9, N7, N4, N2). The 288 students in Gyeongsang National University assessed the 48 stimuli which wear variously incorporated with colors and tones by a semantic differential scale of 7-point: The results of the study were as follows. Image factors of stimuli are youth and activity, gracefulness, visibility, and tenderness. Among these, youth and activity factors, and gracefulness factors proved to be important. The colors and tones of a jacket and a skirt used in this experiment showed that the colors and tone had an effect on dimension of 4 images by interacting of two valuables or working independently. While a yellow jacket with vivid and a white(N9) skirt had a significant effect on youth and activity factors, a red jacket and a dark- gray(N4), -black(N2) skirt were evaluated as a graceful image. In the red jacket case, a visible factor was considerably different according to skirt tones. Only jacket tones worked as a striking clue in a tenderness factor.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of three clothing cues(jacket color, skirt color, and tone of Korean dress) on the image of Korean dress wearer using tone-in-tone coloration. The experimental materials developed for this study are a set of stimuli and response scales. The stimuli are 16 color pictures manipulated with three clothing cues by drawing. The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of female impression formation includes 24 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 192 undergraduate female students in Chinju city. The results of this study are as follow: As analyzing the image of female figure by the jacket color, skirt color, and tone, three factors including youth activity, attractiveness, and visibility were identified. Among these factors, youth activity and attractiveness were proved to be more important. Each dimensional image was affected by color coordination of jacket color, skirt color and tone of korean dress. Therefore, the image of Korean dress wearer could be varied by color coordination of jacket color, skirt color and tone of Korean dress.

The Korea Offshore Wind Power (KOWP) is planning to construct offshore wind energy farms with an overall rated power of 2.5 GW in the south-western coast of the country until 2019. Various types of support structures for offshore wind turbines have been proposed in the past. Nevertheless, in South Korea, jacket structures have in general, been applied as support structures for offshore wind turbines owing to the many accumulated experiences and know-how regarding this kind of support structure. The choice of offshore structure is mainly influenced by site conditions such as seabed soil type and sea environment during installation. In installing jacket sets on the seabed, the mudmat is necessary to maintain the equilibrium of the jacket without the aid of additional devices. Hence, this study proposes the installation of skirt plates underneath the bottom frame of jackets in order to improve the installation stability of jacket structures under rougher sea conditions. To confirm the effect of skirt plates, installation stability analyses considering overturning, sliding and bearing capacity have been performed. From the results, it is shown that jacket structures with skirt plates can contribute to improving the sliding stability of the structures of new wind power farms, while providing economic benefits.

The purpose of this study is to find how to be formed the wet film thickness during the low friction coating process for a piston skirt with application to the theory of screen printing. In other words, the general expressions predicting the pressure under a blade and the volume of coating fluid passing through the blade edge are derived. Using these expressions, the coating thickness on a piston skirt during a sample blade coating process can be quantitatively assessed.

Using these expressions, it is to be approved that the current operation characteristics of a screen printing system to a sample blade coating process for low friction coating on a piston skirt can be quantitatively assessed.
