  • Cu films for future ULSI metallization were prepared by partially ionized beam (PIB) deposition and characterized in terms of preferred orientation, grain size, roughness and resistivity. PIB-Cu films were prepared on Si (100) at pressure of $8 \times 10^{-7}$~$1 \times 10^{-6}$ Torr. Effects of acceleration voltage and ionization potential on the properties of PIB-Cu films have been investigated. As the acceleration voltage increased at constant ionization potential of 400 V, the degree of preferred orientation and surface smoothness of the Cu film increased. At the ionization potential of 450 V, the degree of preferred orientation at the acceleration voltage higher than 2 kV decreased and surface roughness increased with acceleration voltage. Grain size of Cu films increased to 1100 $\AA$ initially up to applied acceleration voltage of 1 kV, above which a little increase occurred with the acceleration voltage. There was no indication of impurities such as C, O in all sample. Resistivity of Cu film had the same trends as the surface roughness with acceleration voltage and ionization potential. The increase of electrical resistivity of PIB-Cu films was explained in terms of grain size and surface roughness

  • This study aims at investigating the effect of product innovation accounting on the market success of instant food and convenience food businesses in Thailand with customer response capability as the mediator. In addition, it examines the effects of management accounting systems, marketing intelligence, and technology orientation on product innovation accounting. The sample for this study is 258 instant food and convenience food businesses in Thailand. To test the research relationships, a structural equation model is used. The results of this study show that product innovation accounting has a significant effect on both customer response capability and market success. Similarly, customer response capability significantly leads to market success while it mediates the product innovation accounting-market success relationship. Testing the antecedents of the research relationships, management accounting system, marketing intelligence, and technology orientation potentially affect product innovation accounting. Accordingly, product innovation accounting is a key source of competitive advantage. Product innovation accounting must be recognized by company management as a strategic tool for competing in markets and environments. They must invest their resources and capabilities to create and develop product innovation accounting principles, as well as encouraging their staff to implement and use these principles in the workplace.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic weakened the small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector. The decline in turnover is one that is felt by the batik industry in East Java, and the decline in turnover in the batik industry is very drastic. This research was conducted to prove the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on SMEs in the batik industry. One model is proposed to prove the existence of an increase in the performance of the batik industry's SMEs by implementing a customer relationship management strategy, business strategy, and market orientation. The study population was the batik industry entrepreneurs in East Java, Indonesia, using SEM analysis based on Amos, purposive sampling method, and a sample of 180 respondents. The results showed that the model was accepted. The results also show that customer relationship management and business strategy contributed to the performance of SMEs, while market orientation did not contribute to the performance of SMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic. To be able to maintain the sustainability of the company, the steps taken by the company are to lay off some of the employees, and during the production period the production stops, and focus on selling goods that have been previously produced.

  • This study examines the relationship between employee engagement and goal orientation toward competence. In addition, it also examines the relationship between competence and employee performance in financial institutions in Indonesia. Questionnaires were distributed to several employees who work at financial institutions in Aceh, North Sumatra, and Riau. The basis for selecting the research object was that most financial institutions have similar business products. The similarities are the marketing of home loan ownership products and multipurpose investments. The three study regions are located in western Indonesia's most central provinces and have a significant amount of trade. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling based on specific criteria for the respondents. 275 employees made up the research sample, and partial least squares data analysis methods were applied. In data analysis, initial testing was carried out on the components of the research statement items to see their validity and reliability. The results of this study indicate that employee engagement behavior can improve employee performance, which improves financial institutions' organizational performance. The study's findings offer suggestions for policies and guidelines that will encourage productive work behavior among employees and boost organizational performance. The fact that employees must think and act creatively to develop their competence and become superior employees is another distinctive feature of this research.

  • In order to successfully adapt in ever-changing social and economic environment, organizational members need to get a capacity to be open to accepting change, effectively leverage the knowledge assets accumulated inside and outside the company for pursuing new values. In this study, we defined such competence as generativity capacity and demonstrated mechanism for forming generativity capacity and an impact on job performance. We suggested absorptive capacity, tertius iungens orientation, use of information technology as antecedent variables of generativity capacity. For empirically verifying the proposed model, we collected sample data from 201 workers and conducted analysis using a structural equation modeling. The empirical analysis results revealed that all of the proposed antecedent variables significantly impacted on generativity capacity, which in turn had a significant effect on job performance. We expect that this study will provide researchers and managers who want to get a broader perspective on knowledge management beyond the boundaries with useful theoretical and practical implications.

  • Xerographic properties of double-layer photoconductor doped with 4-butyl-4'-methoxyazobenzene (BMAB) as charge-carrier transport material were investigated. BMAB can undergo reversible trans-cis isomerization by light with appropriate wavelength. In the results of measured surface voltage properties for photoconductor doped with BMAB, TNF: BMAB(4-wt%) sample with trans form showed the lowest dark decay, the lowest residual voltage, and the highest sensitivity among cis form. The trans isomer of BMAB has ordering orientation because the molecule possesses a rodlike shape, while the cis isomer has random orientation due to its bent shape. Therefore the molecular arrangement of trans form enhanced charge-carrier transport mobility.
