Iron Deficiency Anemia is defined as deficiency Fe in blood. The causal relationships between this and gastrointestinal bleeding, impaired absorption, excessive menstrual flow and other maladies are not well understood. In oriental medicine Iron Deficiency Anemia is generally characterized as deficiency of ki(氣)and blood(血) defined in terms of hypofunction of the spleen and stomach, and insufficiency of the spleen and kindneys. Two Iron Deficiency Anemia patients were treated with Ickibohyoul-tang, Samchulgunbi-tang, Ickibohyoul-tang ga antler, and Sachulgunbi-tang ga antler. Symptoms improved and Blood exams (RBC, Hb, Hct) yielded higher counts. Further research concerning this is necessary.

We treated 1 case of primary infertility woman. She had three clinical problems. The first was endometrosis stage II, the second was tubar obstruction and the third was chronic persistent hepatitis B. Eometrosis and tubar obstruction are similar to 'blood stagnation'. And another clinical symptoms could be considered with 'asthenia of spleen and stagnation of wetness-evil'. So our prescriptions for this case were Heylbudu.Jcgeu-Tang and Samchulgunbi-Tang. And the prescription of acupuncture therapy was consist with Sp. 6, Ren. 4, Jagung, P. 6, and St. 36. So we got a successful result from above therapies. But we have to take continued follow-up plans for endometriosis and chronic persistent hepatits B.

Wilson's disease is a rare inborn error of metabolism inherited as a autosomal recessive trait. The disease has varied mode of manifestations. It is characterized by different neurologic disorder and hepatic disease. I experienced a case of Wilson's disease in 40 year old woman who was suffered from liver cirrhosis, severe anorexia, and classical neurologic symptoms such as tremour, dysarthria and ataxia. The symptoms was not relieved by D-penicillamine, Youngyanggaksan and Samchulgunbi-tang but anorexia was improved significantly by same medication.

Background: Vestibular neuritis is a common cause of acute unilateral peripheral vestibulopathy. Vestibular neuritis is the second most common disease among patients with dizziness. Clinical symptoms of vestibular neuritis include the sudden onset of vertigo with spontaneous nystagmus, unsteady gait, nausea, and vomiting that last from days to weeks. However, even after the vertigo disappears, difficulty maintaining balance while walking may persist for weeks to months. Antihistamines, serotonin receptor blockers, and benzodiazepine vestibular suppressants are widely used as symptomatic treatments to reduce the severity of symptoms that occur in the acute phase. Case Summary: A patient diagnosed with acute vestibular neuritis was treated with acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine. We used the visual analog scale (VAS) to assess each symptom and the vertigo score to observe the effect of treatment. After treatment, the VAS scores for each symptom and the vertigo score decreased, and the severity of nystagmus was reduced. Conclusion: This study suggests that Korean medicine treatments, including Samchulgunbi-tang-gagam, could be effective in improving the clinical symptoms of vestibular neuritis.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to report the clinical effectiveness of Korean medicine treatment on FOLFOX-induced symptoms such as nausea and dizziness in a patient with recurrent advanced gastric adenocarcinoma. Methods: The patient was diagnosed with recurrent advanced gastric cancer and had FOLFOX-induced nausea and dizziness. The patient was treated with Samchulgunbi-tang and Banhasashim-tang for symptom management. The clinical outcomes were measured by National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Event (NCI CTCAE) and a numeral rating scale (NRS). Results: After treatment, the patient's nausea and dizziness were relieved from NRS 9 to 2 and NRS 8 to 2 respectively. During and after treatment, no severe toxicities were detected on laboratory findings. Conclusion: This case study suggests that Samchulgunbi-tang and Banhasashim-tang may relieve symptoms of FOLFOX-induced nausea and dizziness.

Wernicke Disease is well known of nutriotional disorders Wernicke Disease is charaterized by ataxia, confusion and oculomotor disturbance. We diagnosis one patient, who has ataxia, confusion and oculomotor disturbance as Jusang(酒傷), and gave saenggangunbi-tang, bojungchiseub-tang and samchulgunbi-tang. We observed that clinical symptom and Liver function were improved by these herbal medicine Therefore We consider Wernicke Disease as Jusang(酒傷) and further reports with many case, however, will be needed.
