New Fashion Brand Evaluation Attributes related to Risk Perception and Information Search (신규 패션브랜드 평가속성에 대한 소비자 위험지각과 정보탐색에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the new fashion brand evaluation attributes influenced by risk perception and its relationship with information search. As for the method of the research, questionnaires were given to 311 consumers who just finished shopping at new fashion brand stores. The results of this study were as follows: 1) New fashion brand evaluation attributes consisted of five factors; product experience attributes, celebrity credence attributes, product search attributes, brand credence attributes, salesperson search attributes. 2) New fashion brand evaluation attributes were found to be significantly influenced by risk perception. 3) The amount of information seeking and the use of information sources were found to be significantly related to the new fashion brand evaluation attributes. 4) The variables influencing on the new fashion brand evaluation attributes were age and monthly clothing expenses.

The Authenticity of Business to Business Salespersons on Consultative Selling Competence: The Role of Customer Orientation

  • Purpose - The study investigates the role of authenticity of B2B salespersons has on their consultative selling competence. The study also examines the mediating effect of customer orientation between the authenticity of B2B salespersons and their consultative selling competence, as well as the moderating role of trust in the buyer-seller exchange. Design/methodology/approach - This research utilized a covariance-based structural equation model technique. The study assessed the research model's moderation effects through a stepwise approach, which allowed for an examination of the moderating effect of trust in the buyer-seller relationship. Findings - As a result of structural equation analysis, this study found that the authenticity of B2B salespersons influences their consultative selling competence by mediating their customer orientation significantly. In addition, trust in the buyer-seller exchange plays a significant role as a moderating variable between customer orientation and competitive selling competence, but it is not significant as a moderating variable between the authenticity and customer orientation of B2B salespersons. Research implications or Originality - This research proposed the role of authenticity of the B2B salesperson as a key factor in the trust-based relationship and a key variable of consultative selling competence. The study has taken the research on the authenticity of the B2B salesperson one step further from the study of authenticity of the brand and the company's leadership.

  • This study analyzes how the relationship marketing implement factors of masstige fashion brands influence the trust, satisfaction and repurchase intention of consumers. The survey was conducted from October $15^{th}$ to $30^{th}$ in 2008 with 330 responses used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results show that the relationship marketing implement factors of masstige fashion brands were customer orientation, salesperson expertise, communication, brand expertise, and inducement. The relationship marketing implement factors of masstige fashion brands influence the trust and satisfaction of consumers. The trust and satisfaction of consumers influence the repurchase intention in the masstige fashion brands.

  • This study confirmed the relationship between variables developed by qualitative ground theory through quantitative research. The purpose of the study is to explain the effect of core sales tasks on sales services and the mediating effect of organizational member relationships on sales services. The data were collected through a survey of fashion brand salespeople in Gwangju from September to October 2020 with data from 235 responses analyzed using SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 26.0. The validity of the research model verified the confirmatory factor analysis and the research hypothesis was verified through path analysis and multi-mediated analysis of the structural model. The research results were as follows. First, sales management did not directly affect sales services, and customer management affected sales services. Second, a meaningful causal relationship was shown to exist between organizational member relationships and sales management, but organizational member relationships and customer management did not have a significant relationship. Third, the total and individual indirect effects of headquarters relations, colleague relations, and customer management were all statistically significant.

The Influence of Relationship Benefit Perception and Relationship Quality on Relationship Intention of Fashion Consumers: Focusing on the Multi-Loyal Relations (패션상품 소비자의 관계혜택지각과 관계본질이 관계유지의도에 미치는 영향: 다면적 충성대상에 따른 영향력의 차이를 중심으로)

  • The objective of this study is to identify the relationship quality and relationship benefit, which has greater explanatory power in predicting fashion consumers' future loyalty. This study is particularly interested in the different explanatory power of each relationship quality with various relationship partners of fashion consumers. The participants were 507 female consumers over 20 years old and they responed questionnaire. The result showed that relationship quality types and relationship benefits having greater explanatory power in predicting consumers' loyal relationship intention varied with multi-loyal relations. Consumers' intention to be loyal to an apparel brand and apparel company was more explained by self attachment than by any other relationship quality types, whereas the intention to be loyal to specific department store was predicted by low involved relationship quality types such as habitual alternative and compensational bind. Trusted intimacy was the only relationship quality type that was significant in predicting consumers' intention to be loyal to salesperson in the future. Among relationship benefits, the influence of convenience benefit was significant in predicting consumers' future loyalty in most relations.

  • The first purpose of this study was to compare the fashion zones and fashion brands on the floors in small and medium volume department store with those of big department stores within adjacent trading area. The second purpose was to find out similarity and differentiation of near-by department stores. The third one was to propose the future fashion marketing strategies of the department stores. The methods used were references, internet, field observation, and interview in 2002. Eight department stores within adjacent trading area were classified and analysed In "Gangnam division", "Seocho division'. and "Youngdeungpo division". The results were as follows : Firstly, there was a low relationship between the degrees of brand equalization of each department store in the "Gangnam, Seocho. and Youngdeungpo division". Secondly, there was an alteration on the floor layout of each department store. It was layed out in a way that allowed for customers, who wanted to just purchase specific items, to go upstairs and look around several stores, which allowed for not only rise in the amount of sales but also offer the convenience of one stop shopping for the customers. Thirdly I proposed several marketing strategies such as lifestyle marketing, relationship marketing, and compile marketing which solves everyday life agenda. I also proposed the solution selling education to develop service education of salesperson. I finally proposed the overriding priority policy by sales record of each store.licy by sales record of each store.

A Qualitative Research about the CRM Experiences of Apparel Brand Customers (의류브랜드 소비자의 고객관계관리 경험에 관한 탐색적 연구 - 남성복, 여성복, 캐주얼, 스포츠의류 소비자의 비교를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study were 1) to analyze customer relationship management(CRM) based on the online customer experiences by product types (i.e., men's, women's, casual, sports wear), 2) to analyze CRM based on the off-line customer experiences by product type, and 3) to examine customer purchase behavior of fashion products and internet usage behavior by product types. Survey and 1:1 interview were conducted from January 13th to May 16th, 2005. Six consumers from each brand (i.e., 3 loyal customers and 3 general customers) in a total of 24 customers were selected from each product type. For the data analysis, content analysis and descriptive statistics (i.e. frequency) were used. Among the key study findings first, as a result of the on-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear preferred receiving customized information through e-mail or SMS service. The customers of sports wear preferred receiving a different level of information and participating in customized product service. Second, as a result of the off-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear need to be encouraged to join a membership at a sales encounter and the customers of women's wear preferred receiving quick information of new products and participating in a design development planning of the merchandising process. Third, the purchasing behavior of the customers of women's wear are influenced mostly by the salesperson and the store atmosphere when they purchase clothes and the customers of men's wear are price-sensitive. The results of this study can be used when fashion brands perform strategic planning and decision making on CRM.

Effect of Verbal and Non-verbal Salesperson Communication in Service Encounters on Customer Emotions and Service Quality Perceptions -Focus on National Brands- (캐주얼의류매장 판매원의 커뮤니케이션이 감정유형과 서비스품질지각에 미치는 영향 -내셔널브랜드를 중심으로-)

  • This study investigates the effect of verbal and nonverbal communication on customer emotions and service quality perceptions. The subjects used in this study were customers of a fashion shop in Sunchon South Korea. The questionnaires were conveniently sampled from July 2010 to August, 2010. Questionnaire data from 335 customers of a national brand were analyzed through a reliability analysis, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the verbal communication of service providers have a significant impact on customer emotion. Second postures/proxemics and physical appearance/paralanguage (out of 3 factors of nonverbal communication) have significant (+) influences on the positive emotion of customers and kinesics have significant (-) effects on the negative emotion of customers. Third, the verbal communication of service providers has a considerable impact on customer service quality perceptions. Forth, given the relationship between non-verbal communication and service quality, it was represented that all factors (postures/proxemics, physical appearance/paralanguage, and kinesics) of nonverbal communication, have significant positive influences upon customer service quality perceptions. Fifth, it was found that customer emotions have a significant impact on customer service quality perceptions.

Impulsive buying behavior of apparel products -Relating to store service quality, evaluative criteria, perceived risk - (의류제품의 충동구매행동과 의류점포 서비스 품질, 의복평가기준 및 위험지각의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships of store service quality, evaluative criteria, perceived risk and impulsive buying behavior of apparels. Data were collected from 481 women living in Busan and analysed by factor analysis, frequency analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$, multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: 1. The overall perceived risk was emerged the relationship to the easy-of-care and prestige/brand royalty of apparel products in evaluative criteria. The lower scores of salesperson service and store atmosphere were the high perceived performance risk by consumers. But the color/style of apparel products influenced positively performance risk. The care risk was emerged the relationship to the easy-of-care. And the time convenience loss risk and socio-psychological risk was influenced by prestige/brand royalty of apparel products. 2. The impulsive buying behavior of apparel products was influenced by care risk, performance risk and the store atmosphere. The results showed that perceived risk were influenced partially by store service quality and evaluative criteria of apparel. When were impulsive buying behavior of apparel products, consumers were influenced by care risk that easy-of-care and change after cleaning, and performance risk that coordination and the cost of buying, and then, were influence by store atmosphere and interior.
