  • Intelligent vehicle plans motion and navigate itself based on the surrounding environment perception. Hence, the precise environment recognition is an essential part of self-driving vehicle. There exist many vulnerable road users (e.g. vehicle, pedestrians) on vehicular driving environment, the vehicle must percept all the dynamic obstacles accurately for safety. In this paper, we propose an multiple vehicle tracking algorithm using microwave radar. Our proposed system includes various special features. First, exceptional radar measurement model for vehicle, concentrated on the corner, is described by mixture density network (MDN), and applied to particle filter weighting. Also, to conquer the curse of dimensionality of particle filter and estimate the time-varying number of multi-target states, reversible jump markov chain monte carlo (RJMCMC) is used to sampling step of the proposed algorithm. The robustness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated through several computer simulations.

  • The autoignition temperature (AIT) of a material is the lowest temperature at which the material will spontaneously ignite. The AIT is important index for the safe handling of flammable liquids which constitute the solvent mixtures. This study measured the AITs of n-decane+ethylbenzene system by using ASTM E659 apparatus. The AITs of n-decane and ethylbenzene which constituted binary system were $210^{\circ}C$ and $430^{\circ}C$, respectively. The experimental AITs of n-decane+ethylbenzene mixture were a good agreement with the calculated AITs by the proposed equations with about $11^{\circ}C$ A.A.D.(average absolute deviation).

  • For the safe handling of 2-methyl-1-butanol being used in various ways in the chemical industry, the flash point and the autoignition temperature(AIT) of 2-methyl-1-butanol was experimented. And, the lower explosion limit of 2-methyl-1-butanol was calculated by using the lower flash point obtained in the experiment. The flash points of 2-methyl-1-butanol by using the Setaflash and Pensky-Martens closed-cup testers measured $40^{\circ}C$ and $44^{\circ}C$, respectively. The flash points of 2-methyl-1-butanol by using the Tag and Cleveland open cup testers are measured $49^{\circ}C$ and $47^{\circ}C$. The AIT of 2-methyl-1-butanol by ASTM 659E tester was measured as $335^{\circ}C$. The lower explosion limit by the measured flash point $40^{\circ}C$ was calculated as 1.30 Vol.%. It was possible to predict lower explosion limit by using the experimental flash point or flash point in the literature.

  • For the safe handling of isopropyl alcohol, the explosion limits were investigated. The lower flash points, upper flash points, fire point, and AITs(autoignition temperatures) by ignition time delay for isopropyl alcohol were experimented. By using literature data, the lower and upper explosion limits of isopropyl alcohol were recommended as 2.0 and 12.0 vol%, respectively. The lower flash points of isopropyl alcohol were experimented $12{\sim}14^{\circ}C$ by using closed-cup tester and $18{\sim}19^{\circ}C$ by using open cup tester. And the upper flash points of isopropyl alcohol was experimented $38^{\circ}C$ by using Setaflash closed-cup tester. This study measured relationship between the AITs and the ignition delay times by using ASTM E659 apparatus was $463^{\circ}C$.

  • The flash points for the systems, ethlybenzene+n-butanol and ethlybenzene+n-hexanol, were measured by using Tag open-cup tester (ASTM D1310-86). These binary mixtures exhibited MFPB (minimum flash point behavior), which leads to the minimum on the flash point vs composition curve. The experimental data were compared with the values calculated by the Raoult's law, the UNIQUAC equation and the NRTL equation. The calculated values based on the UNIQUAC and NRTL equations were found to be better than those based on the Raoult's law. It was concluded that the UNIQUAC and NRTL equations were more effective than the Raoult' law at describing the activity coefficients for nonideal solution such as the ethlybenzene+n-butanol and ethlybenzene+n-hexanol systems. And the predictive curve of the flash point prediction model based on the NRTL equation described the experimentally-derived data more effectively than was the case when the prediction model was based upon the UNIQUAC equation.

  • Manufacturing workers are easily exposed to the risk of musculoskeletal disorders caused by repetitive tasks in their working environment. This is due to problems with occupational characteristics that repeatedly use the body. However, the current lack of monitoring systems for monitoring and prevention has led to an increase in workers' exposure to risks each year. This paper presents how to solve these problems in real working environment by producing wearable devices using IMU sensors. After wearing a wearable type device, the user's movement is judged through data analysis by receiving the rotation value according to musculoskeletal movement. At this time, the risk is determined by measuring the number of rotations of the user by eliminating bias and eliminating cumulative error, acquiring sophisticated data, and analyzing it in the form of dynamic threshold values. Using the wearable device proposed in this paper, the effect of this method could be checked through a web page measuring the number of rotations for elbow musculoskeletal disorders.

  • There is increasing interest, on the global basis, in the operation of ocean surface radars for measurement of coastal sea surface conditions to support environmental, oceanographic, meteorological, climatological, maritime and disaster mitigation operations. In south Korea, ocean surface radars are operating to monitoring oil spill, outflow from dike or preventing from safety-accidents in the 6 regions (16 radial sites) by main frequency about 13, 25 and 42 MHz until the present. However, that ocean surface radars have been operated on an experimental spectrum basis. In the results of 3~50 MHz band domestic analysis to improve the regulatory status of the spectrum used by oceanographic radars, it was demonstrated that sufficient frequency bands are available for oceanographic radars on the frequency band above 20 MHz. It is difficult to deploy and operate oceanographic radars in the sub-bands below 20 MHz except for 13 MHz band. For using HF ocean surface radars one should understand the spectrum environment in Korea and should prepare a suitable operating system and data processing techniques.

  • The flight control system utilize RSS(Relaxed Static Stability) criteria in both longitudinal axes to achieve performance enhancements and improve stability. The aircraft using digital flight-by-wire flight control system receives aircraft flight conditions such as pitch, roll and yaw rate, normal acceleration from RSA(Rate Sensor Assembly) and ASA(Acceleration Sensor Assembly). These sensors has permissible measurement error related to system safety of an aircraft but, unexpected flight motions are happened by sensing errors such as offset, noise and etc. The unexpected pitch down tendency occurred by ASA sensor bias in 1g level flight with pilot hands-off. This paper addresses the design and verification of flight control law to improve of pitch down or up tendency caused by ASA sensor bias. The result of analysis and flight test reveals that pitch down tendency can be improved by pitch attitude feedback system.
