The railway system is an interface industry that can be safely operated by organically operating the lines, vehicles, controls, etc. Various data are generated in the operation and maintenance activities of the railway system. These data are utilized in cooperation with safety and maintenance activities in each field, but amount of data is insufficient for data analysis of safety management due to relevant data being produced without any synchronous criteria such as time or space. In particular, reference data such as location and time of failure data for each field are set to different criteria according to the work characteristics in each field. So, it is not easy to analyze data integrally based on location and time. Therefore, mapping of reference data can be required for integrated analysis of data defined in different formats. By selecting data mapping tools and verifying the results of safety relevant data with the same criteria, the purpose of this paper is to enable integrated analysis of railway safety management data occurring in different fields based on location and time.

Background: Construction activity has made considerable breakthroughs in the past two decades on the back of increases in development activities, government policies, and public demand. At the same time, occupational health and safety issues have become a major concern to construction organizations. The unsatisfactory safety performance of the construction industry has always been highlighted since the safety management system is neglected area and not implemented systematically in Indian construction organizations. Due to a lack of enforcement of the applicable legislation, most of the construction organizations are forced to opt for the implementation of Occupational Health Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001 to improve safety performance. Methods: In order to better understand factors influencing the implementation of OHSAS 18001, an interpretive structural modeling approach has been applied and the factors have been classified using matrice d'impacts croises-multiplication $appliqu{\acute{e}}$ a un classement (MICMAC) analysis. The study proposes the underlying theoretical framework to identify factors and to help management of Indian construction organizations to understand the interaction among factors influencing in implementation of OHSAS 18001. Results: Safety culture, continual improvement, morale of employees, and safety training have been identified as dependent variables. Safety performance, sustainable construction, and conducive working environment have been identified as linkage variables. Management commitment and safety policy have been identified as the driver variables. Conclusion: Management commitment has the maximum driving power and the most influential factor is safety policy, which states clearly the commitment of top management towards occupational safety and health.
In today's industrial society, one observes fierce competition aiming at profit generation among companies, and the utilization of complex machineries and cutting edge science and technology constitutes a constant threat to the life, body, and health of employees. In such a context, it is precisely the purpose of the Industrial Safety and Health Act that is in force to provide protection to the life and health of employees against hazardous and harmful environment and the role of enterprises becomes more and more important in the law. The Industrial Safety and Health Act places the responsibility for preventing industrial accidents on the shoulders of the business employer by providing safety and health information relating to current employees and creating an appropriate work environment. The employer must recognize the importance of prevention of industrial accident and must possess a business philosophy that places top priority on safety when it comes to company management. In light of such practical considerations, the present study approaches to find out the influence of safety and health management on business management from a statistical sample survey point of view. By doing this, the study hopes to show that a through safety management serves to protect the life and health of employees and raise profit for businesses. What is more, the study hopes to demonstrate that promoting a sound business culture can act as fertilizer that promotes the ushering in of a bright society.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare the regulatory systems for laboratory safety and health management between Korea and Germany and discuss the implications. Methods: Laboratory safety and health regulations for legal enforcement and relevant technical guidelines in Korea and Germany were reviewed. Results: Lab safety and health management is enforced by the Act on the Establishment of Safe Laboratory Environment in Korea. Most provisions focus on supervisory control, that is, the principal's liability is emphasized. In addition, there is a lack of laboratory-specific procedures for safety and health management in the act since it is stipulated that other relevant regulations apply to some technical contents. Non-compulsory technical guidelines for lab safety and health management are also provided by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) in order to enable researchers to follow safe procedures. There is no independent regulation for lab safety and health in Germany, and it is also governed by several regulations. The German Social Accident Insurance Institute provides technical guidelines on lab safety and health, and these contain more specific content to allow them to be followed more easily compared to the KOSHA guidelines. The most remarkable differences between the regulation of each country were contents of the risk assessment and specific protect measures from hazardous agents. Conclusions: Regulatory control is an essential way to prevent accidents, but it is more important to create an environment in which all stakeholders, including individual lab members, are allowed to participate actively in safety and health management activities.
Effective and sustainable prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WR-MSDs) remains a challenge for preventers and policy makers. Coordination of stakeholders involved in the prevention of WR-MSDs is a key factor that requires greater reflection on common knowledge and shared representation of workers' activities among stakeholders. Information on workers' strategies and operational leeway should be the core of common representations, because it places workers at the center of the "work situation system" considered by the intervention models. Participatory ergonomics permitting debates among stakeholders about workers' activity and strategies to cope with the work constraints in practice could help them to share representations of the "work situation system" and cooperate. Sharing representation therefore represents a useful tool for prevention, and preventers should provide sufficient space and time for dialogue and discussion of workers' activities among stakeholders during the conception, implementation, and management of integrated prevention programs.

The intention of this study is to analyze safety consciousness of construction labors in Gawang-Ju region. According to Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency, the rate of disaster in construction industry is very high comparing with other fields. Most of all, the consciousness of construction labors is very important because accidents are caused from it mainly. For this reason, it is necessary to recognize safety consciousness of labors who directly work in construction field. For decreasing the rate of disaster in construction, I examined and analyzed safety consciousness of construction labors and then, groped improvement of safety activity. Finally, this study deducted improvement of safety activities and management.

Construction is one of the most hazardous industries due to its unique nature. Recent occurrences of highly publicised and criticized construction site accidents have highlighted the immediate need for the construction industry to address safety hazards. Safety used to be addressed as an isolated issue in the past, but the problem of safety is an emergent property of a system. In general, it seems that both industrial practitioners and government officials have tended to address safety by focusing on technical aspects and looking for immediate causes of accidents after they have taken place. The objective of this paper is to examine issues and critical factors that affect the safety standards from a holistic point of view. The job of making worksites safe should not just fall squarely on the contractors but should be shared by all parties in the value chain of construction activities.

This study investigated knowledge and attitudes of long-term care hospital nursing assistants such as nursing aides and direct care workers toward patient safety and their safety care activities. This was a descriptive study that attempted to enhance the competence of nursing assistants' patient safety management, and the data were used to develop a training program for nursing assistants. A total of 230 nursing assistants working at six hospitals whose wards were over 200 participated and were assessed with a rating 1 or 2 in 2013 in B city. Data were collected using questionnaires from March 2 to March 26 in 2017. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program using number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. In conclusion, the findings show that patient safety care activities were better performed by nursing aides than direct care workers. Higher education and a higher number of patient safety training programs and patient safety care activities were frequent. In addition, nursing assistants' knowledge of patient safety affected attitudes toward patient safety, and attitudes affected patient safety care activities. Therefore, an actual regular training program for patient safety should be executed over five times a year to improve patient safety perception. Furthermore, a hospital system including adequate working time needs to be improved. Based on the results of the study, patient safety in long-term care hospitals should be improved, and this study could be utilized as basic data to develop a training course for improvement of knowledge and attitudes of nursing assistants toward patient safety.

The key role in safety management is to identify any possible hazard before it occurs by identifying any possible risk factors which are critical to risk assessment. It is well known that falsework (temporary facilities) in construction projects is fundamentally important. This planning/assessment process is considered to be tedious and requires a lot of attention due to the following reasons: firstly, the installation and dismantling of those facilities are one of the high risk activities in the job sites. Secondly, temporary facilities are generally not clearly delineated on the building drawings. Therefore, it is our strong belief that safety tools have to be simple and convenient enough for the jobsite people to manage them easily and be flexible for any occasions to be occurred at various degrees. In order to develop a safety identification system of temporary facilities, this research utilizes the BIM technology in retrieving important information by importing data from BIM models and use it in the safety planning stage.
