전방충돌경보(FCW)의 교통안전 증진효과 추정 (Estimation of Traffic Safety Improvement Effect of Forward Collision Warning (FCW))

  • 자율주행의 핵심기술인 첨단 운전자 지원 시스템(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) 중 대표기술인 전방충돌경보(Forward Collision Warning)를 대상기술로 선정하여, 주행시뮬레이션 실험 기반의 교통사고 예방효과를 추정하였다. 효과척도로 ①인지반응시간(s) ②감속도(m/s2) ③충돌여부(회)로 선정하여, 전방충돌경보 미설치시와 설치시의 변화량 측정하였다. 실험 시나리오는 운전자 전방의 차량의 급정거하는 시나리오(1)과 옆차로에서 차량이 끼어드는 시나리오(2)를 진행하였으며, 주간/야간으로 구분하였다. 분석결과, 전방충돌경보장치를 설치하였을 경우, 인지반응시간(s)이 감소하였으며, 감속도(m/s2)는 감소하였다. 운전자의 위험상황을 빠르게 감지하여 여유로운 감속을 할 수 있게 되었으며, 그에 따른 전방충돌횟수도 감소한 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 운전자의 운전성향을 반영하고 실험 시나리오를 다양화하면, ADAS의 설치효과를 증대시키고 다른 기술의 효과추정에도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

열화상 분석을 이용한 전력시스템의 안전진단에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Diagnosis for Electric Power Systems Using Thermal Imaging Analysis)

  • In this paper, the safety diagnosis using thermal image analysis is described for power equipments. The conventional three-phase comparison method has only provided the results of thermal comparison for the equipments. The proposed method defines the conditions of poor connection by visual checks, and supports the criteria with each thermal rise step. As a result, the thermal difference from $5^{\circ}C$ to $10^{\circ}C$ meant the warning state. In addition, the thermal difference more than $10^{\circ}C$ meant that the connection status was unbalanced. In this case, the countermeasure might be the internal load distribution. If the thermal difference more than $20^{\circ}C$ is observed, it means a hot spot at the poor connection. If the hot spot is observed all over the surface, its cause was the unbalanced load, which made the conductive parts discolored and raised the possibility of oxidization or $Cu_2O$ generation. This diagnostic technology employing thermal image analysis method can be directly applied in the field and ensures the safety of equipments.

  • 최근 세계적으로 자연재해 등의 피해를 줄이기 위해 각 국가마다 통합재난안전관리시스템을 운영하고 있다. 특히, 재난경보 메시지를 보내기 위한 방법으로 디지털 사이니지(Digital Signage) 활용에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 사이니지에 대한 개념과 재난안전관리시스템을 살펴보고 재난안전통신망에서 요구되어지는 보안요구사항을 알아보았다. 또한, 디지털 사이니지를 활용한 재난안전 서비스에서 공통경보 메시지를 안전하게 디지털 사이니지 터미널에 전송하기 위해 공개키 인증기법을 사용한 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 제안 된 프로토콜은 공통경보 메시지를 해당 지역에 안전하게 표시될 수 있도록 하였다.

  • Human works shift its roll from physical condition to the system supervisory control task In this paper safety-presentation configuration is discussed instead of well-known fault-warning configuration. Of paticular interest was the personal factor which include the cognitive process. Through a performance between each person information processing(d') and decision process($\beta$) was pointed out to explain the sensitivity of personal cognitive process.   • As the weather changes become frequent, weather disasters are increasing, causing more damage to plastic greenhouses. Among the damage caused by various disasters, damage by snow to the greenhouse takes a relatively long time, so if an alarm system is properly prepared, the damage can be reduced. Existing greenhouse design standards and snow warning systems are based on snow depth. However, even in the same depth, the load on the greenhouse varies depending on meteorological characteristics and snow density. Therefore, this study aims to secure the structural safety of greenhouses by developing sensors that can directly measure snow loads, and analysing the warning criteria for load using a stochastic model. Markov chain was applied to estimate the failure probability of various types of greenhouses in various regions, which let users actively cope with heavy snowfall by selecting an appropriate time to respond. Although it was hard to predict the precise snow depth or amounts, it could successfully assess the risk of structures by directly detecting the snow load using the developed sensor.

  • The new chemicals are developed and circulated without the verified toxicity data. So, the accidents and occupational diseases, such as explosion, fire, suffocation about deadly poisons etc. are frequently to workers. Classifications of chemicals suited with guideline and an offer of correct chemical information data are the molt important thing for the establishment of suitable chemical management system. The GHS (Globally Harmonized System of classification and labeling of chemicals) is based with the chemical classifications and unification plan. The warning symbol and phrases are established for improvements of chemical information data system. According to these unified and improved systematic form of data, and the chemical information data, the workplaces will be presented many chemical safety and risk data correctly. In this paper, we will present constructions and accomplishment contents-based chemical management of workplace through development of chemical information data and the nice using for new chemical investigation and risk assessment of chemicals in workplaces.

고령자용 소규모 그룹홈의 생활환경 실태 (Actual conditions on the Living Environment of Small-scale Group-homes for the Elderly)

  • To investigate the actual conditions on the living environment of group-homes for the elderly and their living environment, 4 group-homes were surveyed. As the results, conditions of location for the group-home of the elderly looked positive, on the other hand, safety for criminal prevention, accessability and convenient facilities were not on level satisfied. The average area of each space in the group-home indicated that the bed room was $11.21\;m^2$, the living room $28.13\;m^2$, the kitchen $23.59\;m^2$, and the bath room had an integrated type of bath room and toilet $7.63\;m^2$. The physical environments of each space in the group-home were investigated, In bed room, door, windows and illumination were relatively good but safety was extremely inferior. Living room mostly looked good except the doorsill which needs refurbishment. In kitchen, cooking table, windows, illumination, ventilator were somewhat satisfactory but gas-warning device should have been installed. In addition, in bath room and toilet, location, door, window, illumination and finished material were satisfactory. But the stepped difference between the bath room and other space, safety-bar, emergency bell and floor heating system were seriously deteriorated and must be improved for the safety of the elderly. Conclusively, living environment of group-home for the elderly is mainly satisfactory but it was necessary to take a consideration for their safety.

철도건널목 사고방지를 위한 방안 연구 (Accident Prevention Technology at a Level Crossing)

  • The safety equipments of railway level crossing which are installed at intersections between roads and railway lines prevent level crossing accidents by informing all of the vehicles and pedestrians of approaching trains. The intelligent safety system for level crossing which employs information and communication technology has been developed in USA and Japan, etc. But, in Korea, the relevant research has not been performed. In this paper, we analyze the cause of railway level crossing accidents and the inherent problem of the existing safety equipments. Based on analyzed results, we design the intelligent safety system which prevent collision between a train and a vehicle. This system displays train approaching information in real-time at roadside warning devices, informs approaching train of the detected obstacle in crossing areas, and is interconnected with traffic signal to empty the crossing area before train comes. Especially, we present the video based obstacle detection algorithm and verify its performance with prototype H/W since the abrupt obstacles in crossing areas are the main cause of level crossing accidents. We identify that the presented scheme detects both pedestrian and vehicle with good performance.

종방향 안전도 향상을 위한 자동비상제동 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Advanced Emergency Braking Algorithm for the enhanced longitudinal safety)

  • This paper presents a development of the Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB) Algorithm for passenger vehicles. The AEB is the system to slow the vehicle and mitigate the severity of an impact when a rear end collision probability is increased. To mitigate a rear end collision, the AEB comprises of a millimeter wave radar sensor, CCD camera and vehicle parameters of which are processed to judge the likelihood of a collision occurring. The main controller of the AEB algorithm is composed of the two control stage: upper and lower level controller. By using the collected obstacle information, the upper level controller of the main controller decides the control mode based not only on parametric division, but also on physical collision capability. The lower level controller determines warning level and braking level to maintain the longitudinal safety. To decide the braking level, Last Ponit To Brake and Steer (LPTB/LPTS) are compared with current driving statues. To demonstrate the control performance of the proposed AEBS algorithm's, closed-loop simulation of the AEBS was conducted by using the Matlab simlink and CarSim software.
