  • This study is a descriptive study to investigate the effects of ethical values on attitude toward patient safety of nursing students. The subjects were 179 senior nursing students in S city, and The data were collected from Aug. 21 to Sep. 15, 2017. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS Statistics version 24.0. Nursing students showed 3.74, moderate level in attitude toward patient safety. Subcategory area of ethical values as relationship with nursing client, nursing practices and relationship with collaborator were positively correlated but human-life area is negatively correlated with attitude toward patient safety. The variables that have a significant effect on the attitude toward patient safety were academic score, and major satisfaction of the general characteristics, and the sub - item of the ethical values, the client relationship area, the human - life area and the nursing practices area. These factors explained 38.6% of variance. These results should be considered in the development of education policy of nursing students and further study is needed to verify the effect of the results.

  • To prevent safety hazards in dangerous working area, we have proposed an intelligent image analysis system. Six common patterns of safety violations of workers' are defined and its motion detection algorithms are developed for alarm to CCTV monitoring system. Developed algorithms are implemented at 195 dangerous areas such as chemical and gas treated room. The results of violated motion detection ratio by developed system shows 94.95% of true positive cases, and 0.21% of false positive cases from all 587,645 event cases in one month implementation period. In the period, it is observed that the number of safety rule violations and the following accidents are decreased.

  • In the case of office buildings, domestic and Chinese evacuation laws were compared regarding the evacuation of horizontal and vertical buildings and evacuation to refuge safety areas. A simulation was conducted based on a refuge safety area in China. In the case of evacuating 1 floor, there was no significant difference in the flow of occupants to an ancillary room area in a domestic or Chinese building, but in China, the corridor width was narrower and the occupants have saw a long. In the case of evacuating 15 floors, the flow of occupants to an ancillary room area was different. In the case of China, it was possible for occupants to enter the ancillary room more quickly because the ancillary room area was wider than those found in domestic buildings, allowing quickly passage the ancillary room door. The results of this study found that if corridor width and ancillary room area were wider, evacuation times could be reduced.

  • This study area show the complicated geological figure and some developed small fault area in southern of Korea. Because of insufficient investigation and design for the big slope, even the safety analysis by the specific institution, in the event, there were 6 times failure and 6 time safety analysis. After all, The height and remedial work cost of the slope became much bigger then early stage.

  • In general, Reinforced Slopes by Shotcrete are difficult to inspect because of stiff Slope and highly Working Area. So the Inspection Techniques are needed by the Non-contact and Non-destructive. On this Study, Appling the safety method to finding the weak zones(cavity area, dampness area, etc.) by using the Infrared Thermal Technique That is detecting the Detail Thermal Difference on the Surface of Reinforced Slopes by Shotcrete.

  • Recently buildings are being constructed on the downtown area. In most building construction sites on the downtown area, the need for adequate material inventories are critical in order to avoid project delays and cost increases due to inappropriate deliveries of key materials. However immoderate material inventories cause increasing inventory cost. Therefore, we need a proper management material inventories. This research re-establishes the existing safety stock and analyzes relationship between safety stock and service level. It suggests an economical re-order point based on safety stock considering service level, various demand and delivery time.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety of the small reservoir, which is distributed in a rural area, based on systemic reliability. It has been estimated that safety of respective reservoir the calculation of failure probability for individual reservoirs can evaluate the safety of the reservoir of the study area. The change of safety for watershed could be figured out as that result. Probability of failure was increased from $3.90{\times}10^{-5}$ to $1.35{\times}10^{-4}$ in Naesu-inpyung reservoir, from $1.33{\times}10^{-5}$ to $4.77{\times}10^{-5}$ in Buyeon reservoir and from $4.24{\times}10^{-5}$ to $2.55{\times}10^{-2}$ in Dalakmal respectively. From the results, the collapse of the upper stream reservoir was analyzed qualitatively that may affect the safety of the reservoir on the downstream area.

  • The Purpose of this research was to assess food safety knowledge and perceptions on hygiene education among new owners of restaurant in Gyeongnam area. In the questionnaire survey to 462 new owners of the necessity of hygiene education, more than half of them(56.3%) answered ‘Needed’ while ‘So so(29.2%)’ and ‘No need(14.1%)’ were also not a few. For the questionnaire asked what educational area was most beneficial, ‘Restaurant management and service(53%)’ was the most selected followed by ‘Food safety management and briefing on relevant food safety regulations(20.1%)’, ‘Tax management(12.8%)’ and ‘Food culture and menu development(11.7%)’. According to evaluation on new owners’ food safety knowledge, total average score was turned out to 6.83(out of total score of 15), less than 50% of average correct answers, it signified the demand for quantitative and qualitative improvement on hygiene education. To view the three areas’ evaluation score, characteristics of foodborne illness(2.56 points, out of total 5 points) and general hygiene management(2.54 points) marked more than 50% of correct answers while critical control points marked only 1.73 points, the lowest score.

  • Hazardous area classification is designed to prevent chemical plant explosions in advance. Generally, the duration of the explosive atmosphere is used for zone type classification. Herein, IEC code, a quantitative zone type classification methodology, was used to achieve Zone 2 NE, which indicates a practical non-explosion condition. This study analyzed the operating pressure of a vessel handling propane to achieve Zone 2 NE by applying the IEC code via MATLAB. The resulting zone type and hazardous area grades were compared with the results from other design standards, namely API and EI codes. According to the IEC code, the operating pressure of vessels handling propane should be between 101325-116560.59 Pa. In contrast, the zone type classification criteria used by API and EI codes are abstract. Therefore, since these codes could interpret excessively explosive atmospheres, care is required while using them for hazardous area classification design.

  • Recently, the scale and form of the construction promoting in government and private organization have large scaled town. The underground area of whole town are used for every facilities, and most of concrete area are used for greening part for friendly environment construction. This greening part for concrete area have good point such as being amendment and various economical effect and improvement for environmental problem, moreover, the amount of greening part become great increased. For this factor, we have to newly consider to keep durable safety for concrete structure, therefore, we suggest that how to keep structural safety of greening area on the concrete.
