  • 본 연구에서는 제반 설계이론과 방법론을 적용하여 기존의 모델들이 가지고 있는 결점을 극복할 수 있는 독창적인 인공심장을 설계하고, 그 결과 시스템 설계에 있어서의 체계적인 설계방법론 적용의 타당성과 효율성을 입증하고자 한다. 또한 그 과정에서 인공장기 설계시에 만족시켜야 할 원칙을 제시하고, 그러한 원칙을 효과 적으로 만족시킬수 있는 새로운 설계원리를 탐구하고자 한다.

Structural and Fatigue Analysis on Bicycle Pedal (자전거 페달에 대한 구조 및 피로 해석)

  • This study investigates structural and fatigue analyses at bicycle pedal. Maximum deformation at model 1 is 2 times as much as model 2 at static analysis. Models 1 and 2 have the possibility of the weakest strength at the part of contact with chain gear. Among the cases of nonuniform fatigue loads at Models 1 and 2, 'SAE bracket history' with the severest change of load becomes most unstable but 'Sample history' becomes most stable. In case of 'Sample history' with the average stress of 0 to $-10^4$ MPa and the amplitude stress of 0 to $10^4$ MPa, the possibility of maximum damage becomes 4%. This stress state can be shown with 5 to 7 times more than the damage possibility of 'SAE bracket history' or 'SAE transmission'. The analysis result of this study can be effectively utilized with the safe design of pedal.

  • Purpose of this research wishes to present way to more safe and reliable operation way to shopping mall operation companies as well as consumerism through general utilization present condition of customers and satisfaction investigation that use internet shopping mall and establish wholesome commercial transaction order. This research draws criteria and items about success factor through each precedent research literature investigation about internet shopping mall success factor, and made up a questionnaire criteria and items that affect important internet shopping mall company's selection to college students and graduate students with learning connected with electronic commerce course. Execute pair comparison that require in AHP and analyzed priority weight about criteria and items to shopping mall company selection. As the result, Appeared that 'Credibility about internet shopping mall company's transaction' is considered most heftily by importance criteria at internet shopping mall selection. Appeared that think 'Credibility of personal information leakage prevention' most important to each criteria.

  • A cutting fluid can improve machining quality and tool life by maintaining the tool toughness and by providing a lubrication effect to reduce the friction between the chip and tool interface. Although liquid nitrogen as an environmentally safe coolant has been widely recognized in cryogenic machining, its function as a lubricant is plausible due to its chemical inertness, physical volatility and low viscosity. Since a reduced friction is a direct witness of the lubrication effect from a tribological viewpoint, this paper presents an evaluation of the apparent friction coefficient on the tool-chip interface in cryogenic cutting operations to prove and characterize the lubricity of LN2 in cryogenic machining. The mathematical approaches have been formulated to derive the normal and frictional forces on the tool-chip interface for the oblique cutting tests.

  • In the reactor control system, it is one of important part to know the accurate reactivity variability in order to keep the safe operation of the reactor which has the high flux neutron density, a short neutron life time and a large sudden reactivity insertion. For this problem, the reactivity measurement study is described by the analog computing method using the characteristics of the reactor kinetic equation.

Arduino Based Smart Home System for the Elderly Living Alone (아두이노 기반의 독거노인을 위한 스마트홈 시스템)

  • Recently, Smart Home System(SHS) is applied in order to provide comfort, energy efficient and better security to the residence. Thus, by introducing the SHS in the house of elderly people, it is possible to provide a convenient and safe life for old people especially living alone. This paper presents the design and implementation of a low cost but yet flexible and secure smart-phone based SHS. The design is based on inter-working between Arduino board with Bluetooth and Arduino board with Ethernet shield, and the home monitor/appliances are connected to the input/output ports of this board via sensors/relays. In addition, when the old man is put on an emergency, the proposed system will automatically notify it the family. Therefore, we have implemented an inexpensive and efficient SHS for the elderly living alone by inter-working smart phones, internet server and Arduino micro-controller.

  • Current Seismic Design Procedure has been developed and improved mostly based on the experiences of the past earthquakes. Many engineers and researchers believe that the seismic codes and provisions are adequate for the basic objective of the code which is "life-safe". However they doubt the performance of the structure during the earthquake. The seismic code seems the black box for the designers which means it is not transparent since the designer can not predict the level of the damage of the structure under future earthquakes. This purpose of this study is to check the validity of the current seismic design procedures. Two structures with different heights are designed and their seismic performances are evaluated for this purpose. Both structures are assumed to be located at the same strong seismic zone.

A neural network model to assess the hysteretic energy demand in steel moment resisting frames

  • Determining the hysteretic energy demand and dissipation capacity and level of damage of the structure to a predefined earthquake ground motion is a highly non-linear problem and is one of the questions involved in predicting the structure's response for low-performance levels (life safe, near collapse, collapse) in performance-based earthquake resistant design. Neural Network (NN) analysis offers an alternative approach for investigation of non-linear relationships in engineering problems. The results of NN yield a more realistic and accurate prediction. A NN model can help the engineer to predict the seismic performance of the structure and to design the structural elements, even when there is not adequate information at the early stages of the design process. The principal aim of this study is to develop and test multi-layered feedforward NNs trained with the back-propagation algorithm to model the non-linear relationship between the structural and ground motion parameters and the hysteretic energy demand in steel moment resisting frames. The approach adapted in this study was shown to be capable of providing accurate estimates of hysteretic energy demand by using the six design parameters.

A Design of a Variable Interval Sensing Scheme for the Sensor Networks

  • In this paper, we propose a new energy efficient scheme which can prolong the life of sensor networks, it should be able to reduce the number of sensing. We use the concept of safe zone for manage the appropriate range of properties. We measure the distance between the sensed temperature value and the center of the zone, and calculate the next sensing interval based on this distance. We name our proposed scheme "VIS". To assess the performance of the proposed scheme the actual temperature data was collected using the sensor node. The algorithm was implemented through the programming and was evaluated in a variety of settings. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is to significantly reduce the number of sensing in terms of energy efficiency while having the ability to know the state of the sensor nodes periodically. Our VIS algorithm can be useful in applications which will require the ability of control to the temperature within a proper range.

  • The safety of staff, customers and of general Public in general viewed as one of the most important requirements in the urban transit. The maintenance computerization system for car of urban transit is a part of standardization and development of urban transit system, and We have been performed the establishment of maintenance computerization system from 2001 to 2005. The RAMS (reliability, availability, maintainability and safety) estimation for maintenance computerization system are utilized in a variety of computerization system for user's convenience and safety in maintenance. Ever since its inception though, the urban transit has searched for ways to improve reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of the railway subsystem. Provision of a reliable maintenance system include RAMS of the vehicles plays a very important role in achieving a safe system.
