공동주택에서 예고 없이 발생되는 화재로부터 인명을 보호하기 위해서는 설계단계에서 인명안전설계에 대한 대책이 최우선적으로 고려되어야 한다. 공동주택의 발코니계획은 화원으로부터 화염의 전파를 지연시키며, 거주자에게 피난의 경로로 제공된다는 측면에서 공동주택의 피난안전설계의 요소로서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 평면유형별 피난안전성능을 개선하기 위한 디자인 방법과 발코니 상세계획의 방안을 제시하였다.

Electrical insulation of small hydro generator stator winding is one of the most important parts in generator facilities. Some stator winding insulation problems can be identified through analysis of insulation diagnostic test. So, Diagnosis of stator winding insulation is an important measure of ensuring the safe operation and extending the remaining life of small hydro generator. This paper presents case studies of insulation failure in generator stator windings and the results of insulation diagnostic test for small hydro generator stator windings. Especially, Conducting the insulation diagnostic test before the generator installed in site is very important process to keep the good insulation condition in service.

The objectives of this study were to analysis satisfaction and additional cost scale about environmental-friendly agri-product school meal program. To analysis satisfaction about environmental-friendly agri-product (EFAP), parent' survey were conducted residing in Cheonan city. The sample size of the survey is 304 respectively. As a result, parents of students recognized that EFAP is good for their children as well as they really want to change food material from general agri-product to EFAP. Therefore, environmental-friendly agri-policy to be more focused on consumption behavior and food security needs. In order to perfectly change food material to EFAP, about l trillion won will be additionally needed. It means that the market demand of EFAP will be dramatically increased. On the other hand, safe school meal program is one of the most important in a child's life, vital for proper growth and development.

This paper presents a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) framework for implementation on safety system of nuclear power plant (NPP). RCM is a systematic methodology to optimize the surveillance and maintenance tasks for critical components which provides efficiently and effectively reliability of system and safety of plant. Maintenance of the safety systems is essential for its safe and reliable operation. Reliability Centered Maintenance at NPP is the program which assure that plant system remains within original design criteria and that is not adversely affected during the plant life time. Aim of this paper is to provide the RCM framework to implement it on safety systems. RCM framework is described in four major steps.

There are many problems with the fire detection devices being used in currently, because it is difficult to find location of the source of fire and determine where devices are working or not. In this paper, we proposed fire detection and rescue system using wireless sensor network that can be real-time monitoring and determine safe exit. Fire detection and rescue system based on ubiquitous sensor network can know exactly source of fire and help determine rescue tactics using sensing data from wireless sensor nodes. Transmitted wirelessly in real-time thermal sensor and gas sensor information to analyze the GUI to monitor the status information output to the screen by use of a system implemented in everyday life, looked at the possibility.

Purpose: Cachexia is a complex metabolic syndrome associated with wasting of skeletal muscle which contributes to nearly one-third of all cancer deaths. Cachexia lowers the frequency of response to chemotherapy and radiation and ultimately can impact survival as well as quality of life during treatment. NF-kappa B is one of the most important molecular mediators of cachexia. In this study, therefore, possible candidates for inhibitors of NF-kappa B were searched. Methods: Amino acids that regulate cellular redox potential by adjusting the level of NAD/NADH ratio, such as aspartate, pyruvate, and isocitrate were selected. Results: Pyruvate effectively inhibited luciferase activity in TNF-stimulated 293T cells transfect with an NF-kB dependent luciferase reporter vector. Pyruvate also showed protective effect on muscle atrophy of differentiated C2C12 myocyte induced by TNF/IFN. Conclusion: We might be able to develop the nutritional management strategy for cancer cachexia patients with pyruvate supplementation.

Residential network is the hybrid technology of wireless, Ethernet, Bluetooth and RF to the internet via broadband connection at home to facilitate the convenient, safe and pleasant daily lives of home user with various home network services regardless of device, time and place. For ubiquitous development more devices will be wireless and most of them will be roaming. Since these roaming devices carry private information of daily life of residential users, the interaction among the roaming devices of residential network must be secure. This paper presents to secure registration of roaming devices using IP Security (IPSec) Protocol Suite without the need to trust foreign agents.

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of unit plans in the high-rise mixed-use condominium and to provide the data fur architectural planning and design. The tools of statistical analysis are frequency, percentage, mean, cross-tab, and correlation. The results of this study are as fellows; The most frequently found shape of unit is a deformed polygon. The common rooms in housing units are dressing room, powder room, offset-kitchen, family room, passage, hallway, and foyer. The specially prepared spaces are wash room, home bar, independent porch, and garden. As to room size and area ratio in a dwelling unit, those of living room are biggest and highest irrespective of unit size. As the floor area of unit increases, does the size of each room and space but the area ratio of each room decreases. This research is made to develop an Apartment Information System. This integrated information system is to be designed to provide residents of high-rise mixed-use condominiums with convenient, economical, and safe life.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effective planning guidelines of elderly housing fur the aged people living with their sons or daughters. To investigate the actual conditions and the problems of housing environments, two hundred and six old people in Gwangiu city, aged over sixty and living with their sons and daughters, were interviewed individually and they provided the useful answers to the questions. The houses for three generations need to have the proper degree of privacy fur each family member, by arranging rooms for their own independent living space while securing the sufficient common space. Therefore, independent and safe living environments are to be made for the elderly and the choice of various types be made according to their own demands. It is also necessary to guarantee the continuation of inhabitation by establishing health care systems and life support services.

Nuclear power plants has a number of valves, which are operating at a high temperature-high pressure and radiation environment conditions. Nevertheless, it is important to maintain the reliability of the valves to ensure safe operation of the nuclear power plant. However, the aging of the valves by increasing of years of plant operation and the system transients due to the sudden load change are working the failures of the reliability of the valve. In this paper, we evaluate experimentally the performance change according to the thermal aging of the valve. Results show that the valve stem and the actuator leakages were enlarged by the thermal aging.
