  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of and problems with the Safe Community Programs in Gangbuk-gu, one of the 25 districts of the capital city of Korea. Methods: The study subjects were 396 individuals who were involved in Safe Community Programs between 2009 and 2011. We examined the effectiveness and willingness of respondents to participate as a safety leader of the Safe Community Program with a questionnaire. We examined the injury death rates of Gangbuk-gu by using of the death certificate data of Korea's National Statistical Office. Descriptive statistics and chi-squared tests were used. Results: The effectiveness of programs did not differ but active participation differed significantly among subjects (p<0.05). The injury death rate of Gangbuk-gu as a whole increased during the implementation period. However, senior safety, in particular, may be a helpful program for reducing injuries in Gangbuk-gu. Conclusions: This study suggests that the lack of active participation may be a major problem of Safe Community Programs in Gangbuk-gu. Therefore, Safe Community Programs should be expanded to the entire district of Gangbuk-gu and more active participation programs should be developed.

  • The existing city planning was performed by internal few decision-maker, but the information that an individual could contact with through the evolution of the ICT technology increased in the smart city, and a channel diversified and came to be able to participate in a decision making process by various methods. I show that it is in the collaborative planning process to come to a mutual understanding with residents directly or indirectly if utilize big data in a process of the safe community planning of the smart city. Therefore, I compare the utilization contents between data of Matsubara-shi,Japan and data of certification city of Korea which received the certification of the WHO international safe community. In the area where this study prepares for the approval of the international safe community, it wants you to use it though you utilize the data as the supporting role of the residents participation plan.

A community based cross-sectional study was conducted in rural areas of Mahottari district of Southern Nepal between January and March 2019.A sample of 412 adolescent girls was selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. Multivariable logistic regression model was adapted to explore level of awareness among adolescent girls. This study found that 45.6% of adolescent girls had high awareness regarding safe abortion. The odds of awareness among the married adolescents was higher (AOR=2.16; 95% CI: 1.01-4.87) than unmarried adolescent whereas the odds of awareness among the adolescents who had education of secondary level and more had higher (AOR=2.21; 95%CI: 1.13-3.04) than those who had primary or lower secondary level of education. Similarly, the adolescents who had monthly family income of Nepalese Rupees (NRs.), 10,000-20,000 and more than NRs. 20,000 were respectively, 2.33 times (AOR = 2.33; 95% CI: 1.07-3.55) and 3.17 times (AOR = 3.17; 95% CI: 2.19-8.94) more likelihood to have high awareness regarding safe abortion than those their counterparts. The study showed that overall level of knowledge towards safe abortion was found low. Socio-demographic factors like marital status, level of education, and family income were the factors independently associated with level of awareness on safe abortion. Therefore, efforts should be exerted towards arising and improving the awareness of abortion care which may reduce unwanted pregnancy, abortion and other complications related to abortion.

  • International Safe School(ISS) model has focused as a public health approach to develop safety intervention to address injury problems in school setting. It needs school members involvement in partnership with community resources to address the needs for school based injury prevention and safety promotion. The characteristics and principles of ISS model discussed in this paper emphasizes participation, capacity and partnership building, evidence based process, and so on. A 7 criteria is introduced as ISS implementation strategy. Multilevel and multi-facet approaches are valuable on ISS as well as process evaluation. For the application of ISS model in Korea, finding evidence, building public health partnership between school and other public or private resources in community are necessary conditions for succesful ISS for health promotion in school setting.

  • This study started with the aim of creating a parenting environment for raising children as a solution to the problem of low fertility. Communal housing is a type of housing where professional childcare environment and lives of family with children can be achieved in community space. It is an environment that supports the development of the child and life of family. However, there is no guidance system for planning such an environment. Therefore, this study aims to develop a pattern language for communal housing of families with children. The research method comes in two steps. First, the documents that provided pattern language and design guidelines about the environment of child and families with children were analyzed. Second, experts specialized in child education, women and family, environmental design were interviewed. As a result of analysis of characteristics of derived pattern language, convenience, safe feeling, comfortability in residential unit, movement, safe feeling, convenience in intermediate space convenience, safe feeling, control in community space were high. The pattern language of this study grafted the items that have proven to be important over a long period of time and the environmental design concepts for families with children in the community space. So it enabled differentiation from existing pattern language or design guidelines.

Methods: The design of this study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. There were 28 participants in the experimental group and 29 in the control group. The program consisted of balance exercises, elastic resistance exercises and prevention education. The program was provided five times a week for 8 weeks and each session lasted 90 minutes. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, independent t-test and paired t-test using the SPSS program. Results: Muscle strength of the lower extremities, postural balance and fall efficacy scores significantly improved in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: These results suggest that this program can improve lower extremity muscle strength, postural balance and fall efficacy in elders. Therefore, this program is recommended for use in fall prevention programs for elders living in the community.

  • P2P implies direct exchange between peers. If you have something I want, 1 go directly to you and obtain il. There is one of the most advantages of formation of community in P2P. For a specified purpose through P2P, the Peers who make temporary a group delivery a request efficient and safe. And the resources can be jointed common, cooperation and communication. When P2P is developed more, we can expect more formation of online community and development. But to be a safe of personal ID and password in internet, it should be possible to make a key-exchange. In the paper, it suggest P2P security system suitable to personal security that Kerberos be transformed. The user who make community in P2P, have Kerberos Server, and using Physical Address of Ethernet card in personal computer, authenticate users.
