FPGA를 이용한 네모파 전압전류법의 계측시간 분석 (Determination of measuring time for decision of heavy metal ion concentration in Square Wave Voltammetry with FPGA)

  • In this research, to analyze the concentration of heavy metal ions in water, we tried to find the measuring time at which the faradaic electric currents flowing by the pure oxidation-reduction reaction from the pushing up mercury electrode of the stripping scan square wave voltammetry(SV+SWV) methods system becomes larger than the capacitance electric current. In order to do this, a method for analyzing signals using FPGA has been designed and we conducted 120 experiments using it. As a result, when the frequency of the square wave is 40Hz, The valid potential-current signal was measured from 96.6667% to 96.7155% of the end of the pulse of the forward and reverse, and the optimal signal was measured at 96.6667%. In addition, the experiment was carried out 40 times by changing the pulse height of the square wave from 10Mv to 40Mv. As a result, at a size smaller than 40Mv, there is little change in the magnitude of the potential-current, and an invalid signal was generated when it is out of this size.

  • 흡착벗김전압전류법을 이용하여 게르마늄 분석을 하였으며, 리간드로는 Tannic acid를 사용하였다. 수집전위는 -0.2V, 수집시간은 60초, 평형시간은 20초, 주파수는 10Hz였다. 작업전극으로는 매달린 수은전극을 이용하였고 지지전해질로는 pH=4.5인 아세트산 완충용액을 사용하였다. 게르마늄의 분석을 위한 리간드의 알맞은 조건을 알아내었고 게르마늄 봉우리 전류에 대한 금속이온(납, 구리, 규소, 주석, 갈륨)의 영향에 대하여 조사하였다.

  • In the stripping scan square wave voltammetry (SV+SWV) polarography that is often used to analyze the concentration of heavy metals in water, we must measure the point where the faradic current that flows by the pure oxidation-reduction reaction at the electrode is greater than the capacitive current, the frequency cannot be too high. Therefore we wanted to find the frequency range that can be measured. In order to do this, we came up with a method to analyze the signal using FPGA Soc. With this method, the frequency of the square wave was increased from 10Hz to 400Hz by 10Hz, and the measuring time of the square wave was changed from 96.695% to 96.765% by 0.005% while 1600 experiments were conducted. As a result, the frequency of the square wave maintained a stable area of potential-current within 320Hz and it was possible to measure the potential-current signal when calculating the measuring time within the frequency range of 96.7155%.

An End-to-End Sequence Learning Approach for Text Extraction and Recognition from Scene Image

  • Image always carry useful information, detecting a text from scene images is imperative. The proposed work's purpose is to recognize scene text image, example boarding image kept on highways. Scene text detection on highways boarding's plays a vital role in road safety measures. At initial stage applying preprocessing techniques to the image is to sharpen and improve the features exist in the image. Likely, morphological operator were applied on images to remove the close gaps exists between objects. Here we proposed a two phase algorithm for extracting and recognizing text from scene images. In phase I text from scenery image is extracted by applying various image preprocessing techniques like blurring, erosion, tophat followed by applying thresholding, morphological gradient and by fixing kernel sizes, then canny edge detector is applied to detect the text contained in the scene images. In phase II text from scenery image recognized using MSER (Maximally Stable Extremal Region) and OCR; Proposed work aimed to detect the text contained in the scenery images from popular dataset repositories SVT, ICDAR 2003, MSRA-TD 500; these images were captured at various illumination and angles. Proposed algorithm produces higher accuracy in minimal execution time compared with state-of-the-art methodologies.

  • 스킨로션에 함유된 루틴을 정량하기 위하여 사각파형 전압전류법에서 흑연을 작업 전극으로 사용하여 연구하였다. 루틴을 정량하기 위한 최적 분석 조건을 찾았고 이 조건에서 $1.00\;{\sim}\;8.00\;{\mu}g/mL$의 농도에 대한 루틴의 검량선을 나타내었다. $0.10\;{\mu}g/mL$의 루틴 농도에서 15번 반복 측정한 상대 표준편차는 0.08이였으며, 최소 분석 검출 한계는 $0.01\;{\mu}g/mL$로 나타났다. 이 결과들을 바탕으로 화장품에 함유되어 있는 활성성분을 정량하는데 사용가능할 것으로 사료된다.

해수 조건에서 모래유동층 여과조의 TAN 부하량과 수온에 따른 질산화 효율 (Nitrification Efficiency of the Fluidized Sand Biofilter by TAN Leading Rates and Temperatures in the Simulated Seawater Aquaculture Condition)

  • These experiments investigated the conditioning pattern and the nitrification efficiency of a fluidized sand biofilter (FSB) for seawater application. The FSB fed artificial nutrient was fully conditioned within 22 weeks. The maximum nitrification efficiency of the FSB was achieved at a superficial water velocity (SWV) of 1.0 cm/sec. After fixing the superficial water velocity at 1.0 cm/sec, the nitrification rates of the FSB were assessed at 3 total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) loading rates (250, 500, 1,000 g TAN/$m^3$/day) and 3 water temperatures (12, 16, $20^{\circ}C$). The TAN concentration in the simulated culture tank ranged from 2.87 to 9.72 mg/L at TAN loading rate of 1,000 g TAN/$m^3$/day, while that ranged from 0.45 to 1.26 mg/L at TAN loading rate of 500 g TAN/$m^3$/day. The ranges of TAN concentration in the former were too high for aquatic organisms and those in the latter were acceptable. Therefore, the safe TAN loading rate for the FSB in seawater conditions was decided as 500 g TA/$m^3$/day. From these results, daily TAN removal rates (g TAN/$m^3$/day) of FSB under conditions of inlet TAN concentration (C, mg/L) and water temperature (T, $^{\circ}C$) were calculated by the following non-linear multi-regression equation: TAN removal rate: f(z)=-1,311.295+655.714LnT+225.775LnC ($r^2=0.962$).

서로 다른 다가이온을 함유한 음극선관 전면유리 용융체의 Square Wave Voltammetry (Square Wave Voltammetry in Cathode Ray Tube Glass Melt Containing Different Polyvalent Ions)

  • With aids of square wave voltammetry (SWV) the redox behavior for various combination of polyvalent ions (Sb+Fe, Sb+Zn, Sb+Ce+Ti+Zn) was investigated in alkali-alkaline earth-silica CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) glass melts. The current-potential curve so called voltammogram was produced at temperature range of 1400 to $1000^{\circ}C$ under the scanned potential between 0 and -800 mV at 100 Hz. In the case of the Sb+Fe and Sb+Zn doped melts, peak for $Sb^{3+}/Sb^0$ shown voltammogram was shifted to negative direction comparing to the only Sb doped melts. However, according to voltammogram of Sb+Ce+Ti+Zn doped melt, Ti and Ce except Zn had hardly any influence on the redox reaction of Sb. Based on the temperature dependence of the peak potential, standard enthalpy (${\Delta}H^0$) and standard entropy (${\Delta}S^0$) for the reduction of $Fe^{3+}$ to $Fe^{2+}$, $Sb^{3+}$ to $Sb^0$, $Zn^{2+}$ to $Zn^0$ and $Ti^{2+}$ to $Ti^0$ in each polyvalent ion combination of CRT glass melts were calculated.

  • 생명과학 또는 의학 연구에서는 반복 측정된 변수들 간의 상관 관계를 보고자 하는 경우가 발생한다. 반복 측정된 것을 고려하지 않으면 상관관계를 과소 추정하는 경향이 나타나므로 이를 고려해야 하며, 선형혼합모형의 분산-공분산 행렬을 이용하여 상관관계를 추정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 변수들의 반복 측정이 동시에 된 경우와 그렇지 않은 경우로 나누어 혼합모형을 이용한 상관계수의 추정방법을 소개한다. 고속 음향 복사력 임펄스 영상(acoustic radiation force impulse imaging; ARFI)으로 간과 비장에서 각각 세 번씩 전단파 속도를 반복 측정하고 복부 초음파 검사로 비장 길이를 측정한 자료에서 전단파 속도와 비장 길이 간의 상관 관계를 분석하기 위해 본 논문에서 소개한 방법들을 적용하였고 SAS의 PROC MIXED를 이용하는 방법을 제시하였다.

Electrochemical Behavior of Sm(III) on the Aluminium-Gallium Alloy Electrode in LiCl-KCl Eutectic

  • In this study, the electrochemical behavior of Sm on the binary liquid Al-Ga cathode in the LiCl-KCl molten salt system is investigated. First, the co-reduction process of Sm(III)-Al(III), Sm(III)-Ga(III), and Sm(III)-Ga(III)-Al(III) on the W electrode (inert) were studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV), square-wave voltammetry (SWV) and open circuit potential (OCP) methods, respectively. It was identified that Sm(III) can be co-reduced with Al(III) or Ga(III) to form AlzSmy or GaxSmy intermetallic compounds. Subsequently, the under-potential deposition of Sm(III) at the Al, Ga, and Al-Ga active cathode was performed to confirm the formation of Sm-based intermetallic compounds. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) analyses indicated that Ga3Sm and Ga6Sm intermetallic compounds were formed on the Mo grid electrode (inert) during the potentiostatic electrolysis in LiCl-KCl-SmCl3-AlCl3-GaCl3 melt, while only Ga6Sm intermetallic compound was generated on the Al-Ga alloy electrode during the galvanostatic electrolysis in LiCl-KCl-SmCl3 melt. The electrolysis results revealed that the interaction between Sm and Ga was predominant in the Al-Ga alloy electrode, with Al only acting as an additive to lower the melting point.

Studying Thermochemical Conversion of Sm2O3 to SmCl3 using AlCl3 in LiCl-KCl Eutectic Melt

  • In this report the thermochemical conversion of Sm2O3 to SmCl3 using AlCl3 in LiCl-KCl melt at 773 K is discussed. The final product was a mixture of SmCl3, Al2O3, unreacted Sm2O3 and AlCl3 in the chloride melt. The electrochemical attributes of the mixture was analyzed with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV). The crystallographic phases of the mixture were studied with X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique. The major chemical conversion was optimized by varying the effective parameters, such as concentrations of AlCl3, duration of reaction and the amount of LiCl-KCl salt. The extent of conversion and qualitative assessment of efficiency of the present protocol were evaluated with fluorescence spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectrophotometry and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES) studies of the mixture. Thus, a critical assessment of the thermochemical conversion efficiency was accomplished by analysing the amount of SmCl3 in LiCl-KCl melt. In the process, a conversion efficiency of 95% was achieved by doubling the stoichiometric requirement of AlCl3 in 50 g of LiCl-KCl salt. The conversion reaction was found to be very fast as the reaction reached equilibrium in 15 min.
