Analysis of 2015 Revised SW Curriculum in Elementary and Middle School based on Core Competency (핵심 역량 중심 2015 개정 초·중학교 SW교육과정 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyzed 2015 revised curriculum for elementary school's practical art and middle school's information subject based on core competency. As a result, in 2015 revised curriculum for practical art subject, the ability to use information was well reflected in all achievement criteria and learning objectives. Also, problem solving ability and creativity·convergence ability were well reflected. In 2015 revised curriculum for information subject, the ability to use information was well reflected in all achievement criteria and learning objectives as like practical art subject. However, there were fewer learning elements to develop self-management ability. Therefore, it is proposed in this paper that the learning elements and teaching, learning activities and evaluation contents should be included in the SW curriculum, which can further enhance cooperative capabilities, self-management ability and communication ability.

Development of Liberal Art and Natural Science Integration Computational Thinking Education Program Based on the IoT (IoT 기반의 문·이과 통합형 CT 교육 프로그램 개발)

  • The informatics curriculum which was revised in 2015 presents the growth of creative and convergent talents as a main goal, and what is essential in the growth of creative and convergent talents is Computational Thinking(CT). In this study, in line with the goal of the growth of creative and convergent talents, the subject of IoT technology and liberal arts and natural sciences integration course was combined with the contents of informatics textbook, and the teaching-learning program was developed. In order to verify the effect of the developed teaching-learning program, the experimental research was conducted, and as a result of study, the mean of the experimental group was 10 points higher than that of the control group. Therefore, it could be known that there was an effect in the teaching-learning program suggested in this study. It is expected that the teaching-learning program suggested in this study can induce the learning motive and interest in SW education by directly implementing SW skill to the various fields of a real life through CT education based on Iot as well as a programing language, and improve convergent and scientific thinking through the experience of solving the problems which are blended with many subjects through liberal arts and natural sciences integration course, and designing them creatively.

Analysis of the Effectiveness of Liberal SW Education focused on Developing Computational Thinking and Creative Problem Solving Ability (컴퓨팅사고력, 창의적 문제해결력 신장을 위한 대학 교양 SW 기초 교육의 효과 분석)

  • In liberal SW education, nurturing student with creative problem-solving ability based on SW is considered important. The purpose of this study is to design SW education and to investigate the effects on students' computational thinking and creative problem solving abilities. This study designed classes in accordance with convergent project and the CT-CPS model and 38 undergraduate students have participated this study. The questionnaire survey was given to students and analyzed the effectiveness of class. The results of this study were as follows: Fitst, SW education significantly improved computational thinking and creative problem solving ability. Second, computational thinking improve significantly in high and low initial score group and creative problem solving improve significantly in low initial score group. However, creative problem solving ability did not improve significantly in high initial score group. Third, computational thinking improve significantly in all majors and creative problem solving improve significantly in college of natural science. However, creative problem solving ability did not improve significantly in college of humanities and social science. In examining the effects on students' computational thinking and creative problem-solving abilities and verify differences by pre-test and major, this study provides significance in expanding the understanding about the nature liberal SW education.

  • 우리 경제의 성장잠재력 저하에 대한 우려가 심화되는 상황에서 국민소득 2만불 시대 견인을 위해 2004년 수립한 IT 산업 발전전략이 IT839이다. 신성장동력 핵심기술 개발 등 IT839전략에 힘입어 세계 최초로 WiBro, DMB 기술개발과 국제표준화에 성공하는 등 IT분야 기술개발을 주도하여, 선진국과의 기술격차가 1년 이상 단축되었으며, 특히, 이동통신 DIV 분야는 미국, 일본 등 선진국 수준으로 경쟁력이 향상되는 성과를 보았다. 한편, 최근 IT를 둘러싸고 있는 환경은 IT를 기반으로한 융복합화 진전, 글로벌화 심화, 인터넷 확산과 웹의 진전이다. 2008년에는 이런 환경변화 속에서 IT산업의 지속적인 성장을 위한 전략을 수립.추진할 계획이다. 무선 융합환경에서 신시장 창출 및 선점, 고부가가치 IT산업의 집중 육성, IT중소기업, 핵심인력 양성 등 경쟁력 향상을 위한 기반 구축도 강화한다. IT R&D 정책은 기초 원천기술분야 R&D 투자비중을 확대하고, IT와 비IT융합 등 융합분야 기술개발 투자도 확대할 것이다. 혁신형 IT 중소기업 육성을 위해 민간 정책협력 네트워크인 IT전문협의회 운영을 개선하고, 중소기업의 원가절감을 위한 공통서비스 확대, 대 중소 기업의 상생협력을 제도화는 등 IT정책 인프라도 고도화한다. 또한, 반도체, 디스플레이 이후의 글로벌 주력품목군으로 IT SoC, u-센서, IT-BT-NT 융합분야 등 3대 핵심분야를 선정하여 집중 육성하고, 부품기업간 협업 활성화를 적극 유도할 것이다. 시장이 원하는 글로벌 수준의 인재양성을 목표로 공학교육인증 확산, IT 융합분야를 중심으로 대학의 R&D 지원도 강화하며, 전공역략을 갖춘 IT 전문인력, 석박사급 핵심 연구개발 인력, IT재직자 교육 등 시장이 원하는 맞춤형 인력양성도 병행 추진한다. 마지막으로 SW산업의 글로벌 경쟁력을 제고하고 신시장 창출을 위해 노력도 강화한다. 조선, 자동차 등 비 IT분야의 SW활용을 확산하기 위한 선도프로젝트를 추진하고, 틈새분야 중 세계적 시장점유율을 갖춘 중소기업 제품에 임베디드SW를 탑재하여 첨단기능을 구현하는 시범사업도 적극 추진할 계획이다.

The Development and Application of the SW-STEAM Program by Utilizing Software Supporting the Creation of VR for Elementary Science Class (초등 과학 수업에 VR 구현 프로그램을 활용한 SW 융합교육프로그램의 개발과 적용)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyse the effects of the SW-STEAM program by utilizing software supporting the creation of VR for elementary science class. Two classes of 5th grade were selected, and were engaged in different teaching and learning methods during 12 class hours. The experimental group which is consisted of 20 students participated in the SW-STEAM program by utilizing software supporting the creation of VR, the comparative group which comprised 19 students was thaught by using a traditional instruction. Teaching unit was 'the solar system and stars' in 5th grade science text book. The results of this study were as follows. The SW-STEAM program by utilizing software the creation of VR had a positive effect on elementary school students' creative problem solving ability, scientific interest, science achievement. Therefore, the SW-STEAM program by utilizing software supporting the creation of VR could be meaningful works to encourage students' creative problem solving ability, scientific interest, science achievement, and this study will help elementary teachers teach 'the solar system and stars' in 5th grade science text book more interesting.

  • In this paper, we present design and developing method for EMS(environment monitoring system) of micro data center. This developing EMS monitors operating environment of micro data center and analyze sensing data through IoT(Internet of things) sensors in real time. Firstly we present configuration method of IoT sensing package and design method EMS hardware platform. Secondly we design data collector software for data collection of IoT sensor with different protocol and develop monitoring software of EMS. The data collector software consists of sensor collector module and collector manager module. Also we design EMS software which has micro service architecture structural style and component based business logic.

Effects of SW Education Using App Inventor on Computational Thinking and Attitude towards Computer of Elementary School Students (앱 인벤터 활용 SW 교육이 초등학생의 컴퓨팅 사고력과 컴퓨터에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향)

  • SW education is considered important in the present age where various sciences converge. According to this tendency, SW education was included in the regular education course in Korea, which aims to develop the learner's CT. Therefore, researches on CT and educational tools are being activated. App Inventor is a simple app development tool that has many advantages over traditional tools. In this study, we developed and applied a SW instruction program that uses an App Inventor to develop CT for elementary school students. Moreover, CT was classified into two elements-calculative perception and calculative creativity- and performed tests after applying SW instruction programs. Furthermore, attitude towards computer were classified into three elements-c computer anxiety, computer preference, and computer confidence- and conducted tests. After performing paired t-test pretest-posttest matching samples on test outcomes, it was found that the CT of the learners who applied the program was increased, and the attitude towards computer also showed a positive change.

A Study on the Software Service Model Evaluation Methodology for Industry Convergence (산업융합을 위한 소프트웨어 기반 서비스모델 평가방법론에 관한 연구)

  • SW-based service model is considered strategic industry in the advancement of national economic development. Also SW-based service model has Public Interest and Profitability, it should be conducted assessment considering both sides of private and public reflection. To obtain the goal of this research, firstly, based on broadly reviewing previous literature and logical reasoning in business model evaluation and feasibility of public business. Secondly, derived SW-based service model's feature through a group of experts to analyze. And AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is adopted in developing the influential factors (indexes) for the profitability of each SW-based service model and the weight score of each factor. In the result, We suggested 5 evaluation areas, and 15 evaluation items reflecting private business model, public business evaluation and SW-based service model feature. The findings of this study are thought to be useful as a practical guideline in performing evaluating the SW-based service model for private and public sector.

Development of SW education class plan using artificial intelligence education platform : focusing on upper grade of elementary school (인공지능(AI) 교육 플랫폼을 활용한 SW교육 수업안 개발 : 초등학교 고학년을 중심으로)

  • With the development of artificial intelligence, a lot of platforms have emerged that enable anyone to easily access and learn about artificial intelligence or create artificial intelligence models. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed various artificial intelligence education platforms and developed and proposed a SW education class plan using a framework-based artificial intelligence education platform for activating artificial intelligence based SW education. The artificial intelligence-based SW education framework aims to cultivate artificial intelligence literacy on the basis of computational thinking. In addition, a learner-centered project class was formed to include elements that could be fused with real life contexts or other subjects. Using this, with the theme of creating an artificial intelligence program to help separate garbage collection, a six-hour project-based class was developed and proposed using practical arts, social studies, and creative experiential activities. This project class was organized using a platform that is not difficult, such as AI Oceans and Entry.
