  • In paper the discrete optimum design program was developed using the continuous and discrete optimum algorithms based on the SUMT and genetic algorithms. In this paper, the objective function is the weight of structures and the constraints are limits state design limits method. The design variables are diameter and thick of steel pipe. Design examples are given to show the applicability of the optimum design using the continuous and discrete optimum algorithms based on the SUMT and genetic algorithms of this study.

  • 생산스케쥴링의 기준이 되는 정보는 각 부품의 생산시간이나 생산비용인데, 이들은 고정된 값으로 취급되는 경우가 많다. 그러나, 실제적으로는 가공조건에 의하여 그 값들이 변화한다. 가공조거는 절삭깊이(depth of cut), 이송속도(feed rate), 및 절삭속도(cutting speed)로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 주어진 조건에 있어서 가공의 최적절삭조건을 최적이론의 하나인 페널티 함수이론(SUMT)을 이용하여 결정하는 할고리즘을 개발하였다. 알고리즘에서 목표함수(objective functions)로는 표면거칠기, 파워 소비, 등을 고려했다. 개발된 알고리즘 프로그램의 유용성을 증명하기 위해 선반가공의 예를 실행하여 그 결과를 예시하였다.

  • This paper describes the optimization of design variables of SLIM using finite element method and SUMT(Sequential Unconstrained Minimization Technique). Thrust is taken as an objective function in order to maximize thrust under constant current drive, and seven independent design variables and nine constraints are chosen. As a result, $\tau$/g(pole pitch/airgap) and $\tau$/$d_{AL}$(pole pitch/aluminum depth) of good criteria in SLIM design are determined.

  • This paper deals with an automatic optimum design based on capacity for a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM). The focus of this paper is the design relative to the output power on the basis of rotor shape of a SynRM in each capacity. And optimization algorithm is used by means of sequential unconstrained minimization technique(SUMT). The coupled Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) & Preisach model have been used to evaluate nonlinear solutions. The proposed procedure allows to define the rotor geometric dimensions according to capacity starting from an existing motor or a preliminary design.

  • This paper deals with an automatic rotor design functional standard computation based on torque/volume for a synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM). The focus of this paper is the design relative to the torque/volume on the basis of each rated watt according to the rotor diameters of a SynRM. The coupled finite elements analysis (FEA) & sequential unconstrained minimization technique (SUMT) have been used to evaluate design solutions. The proposed procedure allows to define the rotor geometric design function according to the rotor diameter and rated watt starting from an existing motor or a preliminary design.
