Synthesis, Structure, and Reactivity of the [Fe4S4(SR)4]2- (R = 2-, 3-, and 4-Pyridinemethane) Clusters

  • The $[Fe_4S_4]^{2+}$ clusters with 2-, 3-, and 4-pyridinemethanethiolate (S2-Pic, S3-Pic, and S4-Pic, respectively) terminal ligands have been synthesized from the ligand substitution reaction of the $(^nBu_4N)_2[Fe_4S_4Cl_4]$ (I) cluster. The new $(^nBu_4N)_2[Fe_4S_4(SR)_4]$ (R = 2-Pic; II, 3-Pic; III, 4-Pic; IV) clusters were characterized by FTIR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Cluster II was crystallized in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 24.530 (5) $\AA$, b = 24.636(4) $\AA$, c = 21.762(4) $\AA$, ${\beta}=103.253(3)^{\circ}$, and Z = 8. The X-ray structure of II showed two unique 2:2 site-differentiated $[Fe_4S_4]^{2+}$ clusters due to the bidentate-mode coordination by 2-pyridinemethanethiolate ligands. Cluster III was crystallized in the same monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 26.0740(18) $\AA$, b = 23.3195(16) $\AA$, c = 22.3720(15) $\AA$, ${\beta}=100.467(2)^{\circ}$, and Z = 8. The 3-pyridinemethanethiolate ligand of III was coordinated to the $[Fe_4S_4]^{2+}$ core as a terminal mode. Cluster IV with 4-pyridinemethanethiolate ligands was found to have a similar structure to the cluster III. Fully reversible $[Fe_4S_4]^{2+}/[Fe_4S_4]^+$ redox waves were observed from all three clusters by cyclic voltammetry measurement. The electrochemical potentials for the $[Fe_4S_4]^{2+}/[Fe_4S_4]^+$ transition decreased in the order of II, III and IV, and the reduction potential changes by the ligands were explained based on the structural differences among the complexes. The complex III was reacted with sulfonium salt of $[PhMeSCH_2-p-C_6H_4CN](BF_4)$ in MeCN to test possible radical-involving reaction as a functional model of the [$Fe_4S_4$]-SAM (S-adenosylmethionine) cofactor. However, the isolated reaction products of 3-pyridinemethanethiolate-p-cyanobenzylsulfide and thioanisole suggested that the reaction followed an ionic mechanism and the products formed from the terminal ligand attack to the sulfonium.

  • Highly reliable packaged 64kbit ferroelectric memories with $0.8{\;}\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS ensuring ten-year retention and imprint at 125^{\circ}C$ have been successfully developed. These superior reliabilities have resulted from steady integration schemes free from the degradation, due to layer stress and attacks of process impurities. The resent results of research and development for ferroelectric memories at Hynix Semiconductor Inc. are summarized in this invited paper.

Ca 치환량에 따른 SCT 박막의 제조 및 전기적 특성 (Fabrication and Electrical Properties of SCT thin Film with Substitution Contents of Ca)

  • The $(Sr_{1-x}Ca_x)TiO_3(SCT)$ thin films are deposited on Pt-coated(Pt/TiN/$SiO_2$/Si) using RF sputtering method with substitutional contents of Ca. The maximum grain of thin films is obtained by substitution of Ca at 15[mol%]. Also the composition of SCT thin films were closed to stoichiometry(1.081∼1.117 in A/B/ ratio). The dielectric constant was increased with increasing the substitutional contents of Ca, while it was decreased if the substitutional contents of Ca exceeded over 15[mol%]. The dielectric constant changes almost linearly in temperature ranges of -80∼+90[^${\circ}C$]. The temperature properties of the dielectric loss have a stable value within 0.02 independent of the substitutional contents of Ca. All SCT thin films used in this study show the phenomena of dielectric relaxation with the increase of frequency, and the relaxation frequency is observed above 2000[kHz]. The current-voltage characteristics of SCT15 thin films showed the increasing leakage current as the measuring temperature increase.

급속응고법을 이용한 Bi 계 고온초전도체 전류도입선 제조 (Current Leads Fabrication of High $T_c$ Bi System Superconductor Using Rapid Cooling Method)

  • Current leads of high $T_{c}$ superconductor were fabricated with Bi excess B $i_{2.2}$/S $r_{1.8}$/C $a_{1}$/C $u_{2}$/ $O_{x}$ composition by rapid cooling method. The dimensions of final samples were fixed 3 mm and 8 mm diameter with 50 mm length each To control uniform density the samples were preformed by CIP(Cold Isostatic Press) process and followed by partial or full melting process after raising up to 90$0^{\circ}C$ for 30min. Plate shaped microstructure was clearly observed adjacent to the Ag tube wall and the size of plate was about 100$\mu$m. However the severe destruction of growth orientation was shown in the inner growth part. critical temperature ( $T_{c}$) was about 53~71K after directional growth while Tc was decreased about 77~80 K before directional growth. After directional growth critical current( $I_{c}$) and critical current density( $J_{c}$) in the specimen of 8 mm diameter at 50 K were about 110 A and 280 A/c $m^2$ respectively.pectively.ely.

  • 고주파 모률에서 사용되는 기판소재는 저유전율과 낮은 loss 특성을 요구함으로 지속적인 연구를 필요로 한다. 지금까지의 ceramic/glass composite 에서 주로 사용된 ceramic filler는 Al2O3로 낮은 유전률을 구현에 한계가 있었다. Cordierite는 낮은 유전율 (${\varepsilon}_r$ < 4)을 나타내는 filler로서 그 가능성이 높지만 아직까지 보고된 결과들이 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 cordierite filler와 SiO2-B2O3-Al2O3-RO (R : Zn, Sr, Ba, Ca)계의 glass를 혼합하여 LTCC용 기판소재로서의 가능성을 확인하고자 저온 동시소성이 가능한 소결온도인 $850^{\circ}C{\sim}1.000^{\circ}C$ 사이에서 소재의 소결실험을 진행하였다. 소결온도에 따른 상변화, 유전특성을 확인한 결과 filler로 사용된 cordierite상만이 관찰 되었으며 소결조건에 따라 5.0~5.5의 낮은 유전율과 1.000~1,500의 Q를 나타내는 것을 확인 하였다.

  • 0.15(B $a_{0.95}$ S $r_{0.05}$)O-0.15(S $m_{2(1-x}$/N $d_{2x}$) $O_{3}$-0.7Ti $O_{2}$(x=0-10[m/o]) ceramics were fabricated by mixed oxide method. Microwave dielectric properties were investigated with contents of N $d_{2}$ $O_{3}$. In the case of specimen with N $d_{2}$ $O_{3}$(6[m/o]), dielectric constant, quality factor and temperature coefficient of resonant frequency were 78.14, 2938(at 3[GHz]) and +14.19[ppm/.deg. C], respectively. By comparison its properties with undoped specimen, dielectric constant and quality factor were highly improved, but the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency was increased to positive value......

폐기물 매립지 주변의 지하수 오염과 오염물질의 지연 특성 (Characteristics of Groundwater Pollution and Contaminant Attenuation at Waste Disposal Sites)

  • 이 연구에서는 난지도 매립지와 화성매립지를 연구대상으로하여 주변의 지하수 오염 정도를 파악하고, 오염물질들의 지연작용을 밝히며, 최적 오염지시인자를 도출하고자 하였다. 난지도, 김포, 화성 매립지에서 채취된 침출수에 대하여 현장측정과 실내 화학분석을 실시하여 침출수의 물리화학적 수리화학적 특성들을 파악한 결과 침출수는 높은 온도(31.7-40.1$^{\circ}C$)와 높은 전기전도도(14,650-32,800 $\mu$S/cm), 약 알칼리의 pH(7.58-8.45), 낮은 Eh값(-119.4-20.4 mV)을 특징적으로 보이며, 주성분 이온들로서 $Na^{+}$, $K^{+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, HC $O_3$$^{-}$, C $l^{-}$ 등이, 부성분 이온들로서 Mn, S $r^{2+}$, $Ba^{2+}$, L $i^{+}$, $F_{-}$, B $r^{-}$ 등이 부화되어 있다. 일반폐기물 매립지인 난지도.김포 매립지의 침출수와 산업폐기물 매립지인 화성매립지의 침출수는 S $O_4$$^{2-}$ , Fe 중금속 원소들의 함량으로 구분된다. 지표수와 지하수의 화학분석, Cl 표준화과정, WATEQ4F 분석 등을 종합하여 앞서 연구된 유선망 분석을 바탕으로 오염물질의 거동을 해석하였다. 또한 Contamination Factor를 통하여 최적의 오염지시인자를 도출하였다. 일반페기물 매립지인 난지도 매립지의 경우 K, Na, Ca, Mg, B, Zn, HC $O_3$, Cl, F, Br, TOC 등이 , 산업 폐기 물 매립지인 화성 매립지의 경우 K, Na, Ca, Mg, B, S $O_4$, HC $O_3$, Cl, F, Br, TOC 등이 뚜렷한 대조를 보이는 좋은 오염지시인자이며, 해안 매립지는 TOC가 가장 적합한 오염지시 인자이다.

밀리미터 스케일의 이상 분해 반응기에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Millimeter Scale Two Phase Catalytic Reactor)

  • Experiment study on a down scaled two-phase catalytic reactor is presented. As a preliminary step for the development of catalytic reactor, nano-particulate catalyst was prepared. Perovskite La$\_$0.8/Sr$\_$0.2/CoO$_3$is chosen and synthesized as a catalyst considering superior catalytic performance in reduction and oxidation process where oxygen is involved among the reagent. Reactor that has a scale of 2${\times}$10${\times}$25mm was made by machining of A1 block as a layered structure considering further extension to micro-machining. Hydrogen peroxide of 70wt% was adopted as reactant and was provided to the reactor loaded with 1.5 g of catalyst. Reactant flow rate was varied by precision pump with a range of 0.15cc/min to 17.2cc/min. Temperature distribution within reactor was recorded by 3 thermocouples and total amount of liquid product was measured. Temperature distribution and factors that affect temperature were observed and relation between temperature distribution and production rate was also analyzed. Relative time scale plays a significant role in the performance of the reactor. To obtain steady state operation, appropriate ratio of flow rate, catalyst mass and reactor geometry is required and furthermore to get more efficient production rate temperature distribution should be evenly distributed. The database obtained by the experiment will be used as a design parameter for micro reactor.

수직 모노폴 방사패턴을 갖는 인체표면 통신용 평면형 안테나 설계 (Design of a Planar Antenna with Monopole-like Radiation Pattern for On-Body Communications)

  • 본 논문에서는 수직 모노폴 방사 패턴을 갖는 인체표면 간 통신을 위한 평면형 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안된 안테나는 3개의 split-ring 구조를 사용하여 모노폴과 같은 표면지향성 방사특성을 가지며, 인체착용 환경을 고려하여 저자세를 갖도록 설계하였다. 제안된 안테나는 5.8 GHz ISM 대역(5.725~5.875 GHz)에서 $0.29{\lambda}_0{\times}0.29{\lambda}_0{\times}0.008{\lambda}_0$의 크기를 갖는다. 인체의 영향을 고려하기 위해 2/3 근육-등가 반고체형 모의인체를 제작 및 사용하였으며, 제안된 안테나는 반고체형 모의인체 위에서 280 MHz(5.68~5.96 GHz)의 10-dB 반사손실 대역폭을 갖고, 1.96 dBi의 최대 이득을 갖는다.
