블록 분류와 반화소 단위 움직임 추정을 이용한 웨이브릿 변환 영역에서의 계층적 고속 움직임 추정 방법 (Fast Multiresolution Motion Estimation in Wavelet Transform Domain Using Block Classification and HPAME)

  • 반화소 단위 움직임 추정(half pixel accuracy motion estimation, HPAME)과 블록 분류(block classification)를 이용한 계층적 고속 움직임 추정 알고리듬을 제안하였다 제안한 알고리듬은 기존의 MRME(multi-resolution motion estimation)알고리듬보다 우수한 화질을 유지하면서 계산량 및 비트량을 크게 줄일 수 있는 장점을 갖는다. 제안한 알고리듬에서는 다해상도 영상에 대한 움직임 추정 시 고주파 부대역의 움직임 추정에 기준 움직임으로 사용되는 기저대역의 움직임 벡터를 정확하게 추정하기 위하여 HPAME을 행한다. 그리고 고주파 부대역에서는 기저대역에서의 HPAME로 인한 계산량 및 비트량의 증가를 보상하기 위하여 움직임 추정이 필요한 블록들에 대하여서만 선별적으로 미소 움직임을 추정한다. 이때 고주파 부대역에서의 미소 움직임 추정의 수행 여부는 대응되는 기저대역 블록의 움직임 벡터 특성과 블록 분류에 따른 클래스 정보를 이용하여 결정한다 제안한 알고리듬의 성능은 컴퓨터 모의 실험 결과로부터 확인하였다.

Characterization of a GH8 β-1,4-Glucanase from Bacillus subtilis B111 and Its Saccharification Potential for Agricultural Straws

  • Herein, we cloned and expressed an endo-β-1,4-glucanase gene (celA1805) from Bacillus subtilis B111 in Escherichia coli. The recombinant celA1805 contains a glycosyl hydrolase (GH) family 8 domain and shared 76.8% identity with endo-1,4-β-glucanase from Bacillus sp. KSM-330. Results showed that the optimal pH and temperature of celA1805 were 6.0 and 50℃, respectively, and it was stable at pH 3-9 and temperature ≤50℃. Metal ions slightly affected enzyme activity, but chemical agents generally inhibited enzyme activity. Moreover, celA1805 showed a wide substrate specificity to CMC, barley β-glucan, lichenin, chitosan, PASC and avicel. The Km and Vmax values of celA1805 were 1.78 mg/ml and 50.09 µmol/min/mg. When incubated with cellooligosaccharides ranging from cellotriose to cellopentose, celA1805 mainly hydrolyzed cellotetrose (G4) and cellopentose (G5) to cellose (G2) and cellotriose (G3), but hardly hydrolyzed cellotriose. The concentrations of reducing sugars saccharified by celA1805 from wheat straw, rape straw, rice straw, peanut straw, and corn straw were increased by 0.21, 0.51, 0.26, 0.36, and 0.66 mg/ml, respectively. The results obtained in this study suggest potential applications of celA1805 in biomass saccharification.

메뚜기의 내장에서 분리한 Moesziomyces 속에 속하는 셀룰로오스 분해 효모의 분리 및 특성 (Isolation and characterization of cellulolytic yeast belonging to Moesziomyces sp. from the gut of Grasshopper)

  • 효모와 곤충 간의 집중적인 상호 작용은 곤충의 먹이에 대한 유인과 발달 및 행동에 대한 관련성을 보였다. 곤충 내장에서 분리된 효모는 먹이의 소화를 돕는 셀룰라아제(셀룰로오스 분해)를 분비한다. 한국의 경기도에서 수집한 메뚜기의 장에서 셀룰로오스를 분해하는 효모 세 균주를 분리 하였다. 효모 균주의 cellulase 활성을 확인하기 위해, 카르복시 메틸 셀룰로즈(CMC)를 함유하는 배지로 플레이트상의 투명한 영역을 요오드 용액을 사용하여 관찰하였다. 효모 $ON22^T$, $G10^T$$G15^T$ 균주는 CMC-플레이트 분석에서 양성 셀룰로오스 활성을 나타냈다. Large subunit rDNA 유전자와 Internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 영역의 D1/D2 영역의 서열 분석에 기초한 계통수를 통해 $ON22^T$$G10^T$ 균주가 Moesziomyces aphidis JCM 10318 (D1/D2 영역에서 각 100%와 99.8%, ITS 영역에서 각 98.4% 및 99.5% 서열유사성)와 가장 가깝고 G15는 Moesziomyces antarcticus JCM $10317^T$ 종 (D1/D2 영역에서 100%, ITS에서 100% 서열 유사성)에 속한다는 것을 밝혔다. 셀룰라아제는 바이오 에탄올 생산과 같은 바이오 연료와 같은 다양한 산업 공정에서 사용되고 있다. 따라서, 셀룰로오스 분해 미생물의 분리 및 연구는 중요성을 갖게 되었다. 이 논문은 한국의 Moesziomyces 속의 셀룰로오스 분해 효모 균주인 $ON22^T$, $G10^T$, $G15^T$에 대한 첫 번째 보고이다.

비디오 통신 시스템의 실시간 비디오 품질 측정 방법 (Real-Time Video Quality Assessment of Video Communication Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 멀티미디어 스트림 서비스에서 발생하는 비디오 품질 저하 요인에 따른 비디오 품질 측정 방법을 제안한다. 비디오 품질 저하에는 대표적으로 비디오 압축과 네트워크의 상태에 의해 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 비디오 압축에 의하여 생기는 화질 저하를 측정하기 위하여 공간 도메인에서 블록킹 왜곡에 대한 정도를 측정하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 블록 경계 강도는 $8{\times}8$ 블록 경계에서 픽셀간의 변화와 경계를 제외한 주변영역에서 픽셀 사이의 변화에 대한 비율로 나타내었다. 반면, 움직임이 부자연스러운 동영상은 지터 및 지연 요소와 같은 네트워크 전송능력의 악화로 인해 비디오 품질 저하가 나타난다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시간적 저키니스는 연속된 프레임의 대응되는 픽셀간의 밝기 값 차이에 대한 평균과 현재 프레임과 이전 프레임의 재생시간 간격의 평균 및 분산을 이용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 비디오 압축에 의한 품질 측정 방법인 블록 경계 강도와 네트워크에 의한 품질 측정 방법인 시간적 저키니스를 통합하여 비디오의 종합적 품질을 평가하는 Perceptual Video Quality Metric (PVQM)을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘의 성능을 평가하기 위하여, 사람이 직접 비디오 품질을 평가하는 Difference of Mean Opinion Score (DMOS)와 제안한 알고리즘을 비교 평가하였다. 그 결과 제안한 PVQM의 결과와 인간 시각에 의하여 평가된 DMOS가 근사함을 확인하였다.

관심 영역 기반의 픽셀 도메인 분산 비디오 부호 (The Region-of-Interest Based Pixel Domain Distributed Video Coding With Low Decoding Complexity)

  • 최근 초경량 비디오 부호를 위해 분산 비디오 부호 (Distributed Video Coding)에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 분산 비디오 부호는 H.264/AVC와 같은 종래의 비디오 부호 기술보다 부호화 복잡도는 훨씬 낮지만, 복호기 복잡도는 높은 특징이 있다. 본 논문에서는 분산 비디오 부호의 낮은 부호 및 복호 복잡도를 갖는 관심 영역 (Region-Of-Interest, ROI) 기반의 분산 비디오 부호를 제안하였다. 제안하는 분산 비디오 부호화는 기존의 분산 비디오 부호화와 달리 Wyner-Ziv (WZ) 프레임 전체를 WZ 부호화 하지 않고, 움직임이 많은 영역을 ROI로 두어 ROI 영역만 WZ 부/복호화 함으로서 부/복호화의 복잡도 감소 뿐만 아니라 비트율을 절감 하는 장점을 가지고 있다. 실험을 통해서 제안된 ROI기반의 분산 비디오 부호가 Hall Monitor 영상에서 최대 0.95dB 이득과 Salesman 영상에서 최대 1.87dB의 PSNR 성능 향상을 보였다. 또한, 기존의 분산 비디오 부호 구조보다 부호화 복잡도는 최대 73.7%, 복호기 복잡도는 최대 63.3%를 낮추는 것을 확인하였다. 낮은 복호 복잡도를 위해 기존의 Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) 복호 알고리즘으로 사용된 Belief Propagation (BP) 알고리즘 대신 수렴 속도가 최대 41.71% 빠른 Layered BP (LBP) 알고리즘을 이용하였다.

MPEG-2비트열에서의 인증 및 조작위치 검출을 위한 디지털 워터마킹 기법 (Digital watermarking algorithm for authentication and detection of manipulated positions in MPEG-2 bit-stream)

  • 디지털 워터마킹은 소유권자의 정보나 특정 코드, 혹은 패턴을 디지털화 되어 있는 정지영상, 동영상, 음성 데이터 등에 인간의 시각이나 청각으로는 감지 할 수 없도록 삽입하는 기술이다. 디지털 워터마킹은 크게 강인성 워터마킹과 연성 워터마킹으로 분류 될 수 있다. 강인성 워터마킹은 이미지나 영상에 대한 소유권자의 소유권을 보호하는 것이 주된 목적이며, 연성 워터마킹은 디지털 콘텐츠를 불법적인 변형으로부터 보호하는 것이 목적이다. 특히 준 연성(semi-fragile) 워터마킹은 잡음 첨가 혹은 압축과 같은 데이터의 전송 과정에서 자주 발생하는 비의도적 변형에 대해서는 삽입된 워터마크가 제거되지 않아야 하지만 의도적 변형에 대해서는 삽입된 워터마크가 훼손되어 검출되지 않아야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 요구 사항들을 만족시키는 MPEG-2 비트열에서의 인증 및 조작위치 검출을 위한 준 연성 워터마킹 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 두 가지의 워터마크를 양자화 된 DCT 계수에 삽입한다. 따라서 압축된 비트스트림에 직접적으로 적용할 수 있다. 첫번째 워터마크는 해쉬 함수를 사용하여 비디오 데이터에 대한 인증을 한다. 두번째 삽입되는 워터마크는 양자화 된 DCT DC 계수를 이용하며 조작위치를 검출하는데 사용한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 비트스트림 영역에서의 트랜스 코딩에 의한 비디오 데이터의 변형과 의도적인 변형을 구별 할 수 있으며 만약 비디오 데이터에 의도적인 변형이 있었을 경우 인트라 프레임에 대해서는 변형된 위치를 블록 단위로 검출 가능하다. 또한 제안된 알고리즘은 가역적 특성을 갖고 있기 때문에 비디오 데이터에 변형이 없었을 경우에는 원래의 데이터를 복원 할 수 있다.

New Species of the Genus Metschnikowia Isolated from Flowers in Indonesia, Metschnikowia cibodasensis sp. nov.

  • A novel species, Metschnikowia cibodasensis, is proposed to accommodate eight strains (ID03-$0093^T$, ID03-0094, ID03-0095, ID03-0096, ID03-0097, ID03-0098, ID03-0099, and ID03-0109) isolated from flowers of Saurauia pendula, Berberis nepalensis, and Brunfelsia americana in Cibodas Botanical Garden, West Java, Indonesia. The type strain of M. cibodasensis is ID03-$0093^T$ (= NBRC $101693^T$ =UICC $Y-335^T$ = BTCC-$Y25^T$). The common features of M. cibodasensis are a spherical to ellipsoidopedunculate shaped ascus, which contains one or two needle-shaped ascospores, and lyse at maturity. Asci generally develop directly from vegetative cells but sometimes from chlamydospores. The neighbor-joining tree based on the D1/D2 domain of nuclear large subunit (nLSU) ribosomal DNA sequences strongly supports that M. cibodasensis (eight strains) and its closest teleomorphic species, M. reukaufii, are different species by a 100% bootstrap value. The type strain of M. cibodasensis, ID03-$0093^T$, differed from M. reukaufii NBRC $1679^T$ by six nt (five substitutions and one deletion) in their D1/D2 region of nLSU rDNA, and by 18 nt (five deletions, four insertions, and nine substitutions) in their internal transcribed spacer regions of rDNA, respectively. Four strains representative of M. cibodasensis (ID03-$0093^T$, ID03-0095, ID03-0096, and ID03-0099) showed a mol% G+C content of $44.05{\pm}0.25%$, whereas that of M. reukaufii NBRC $1679^T$ was 41.3%. The low value of DNA-DNA homology (5-16%) in four strains of M. cibodasensis and M. reukaufii NBRC $1679^T$ strongly supported that these strains represent a distinct species.

3차원 얼굴 모델링을 위한 스캔 데이터의 통합 방법 (A Method of Integrating Scan Data for 3D Face Modeling)

  • 여러 시점에서 계측한 3차원 데이터를 통합하는 기술은 3차원 모델링에 매우 중요한 기술이다. 기존의 표면(Surface)통합 방법들은 정합오차와 잡음에 민감하다. 본 논문에서는 표면의 지역적 지형을 이용하는 표면통합 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 먼저 인접한 표면 사이에서 일정 지형적 조건을 만족하는 외곽정점의 쌍, 즉 대응정점을 찾아 표면 사이의 지역을 여러 지역으로 구분한다. 다음으로 주성분 분석(PCA)을 통해 각 지역에 대한 최접합 평면(Best Pitting Plane)을 계산하여 표면 사이에 삽입될 삼각형의 생성에 이용한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 지역적 단위로 지형을 이용하여 인접한 표면을 통합하기 때문에 정합오차와 잡음에 강건하다. 본 논문에서는 또한 변수화(Parameterization)기술을 이용하는 질감(Texture)통합 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 통합된 표면을 각 표면의 초기시점으로 변환하고 해당 시점의 질감영상을 투영한다. 투영된 질감영상들을 통합된 표면의 2차원 변수화 표면에 할당하여 표면들이 통합된 이음새를 따라 통합한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 방법이 얼굴모델링에 효율적임을 보인다.

말기암환자의 영적 안녕과 통증, 불안 및 우울과의 연관성: 예비 연구 (Association between Spiritual Well-Being and Pain, Anxiety and Depression in Terminal Cancer Patients: A Pilot Study)

  • 목적: 말기암환자의 영성은 호스피스완화의료에서 중요하게 고려되어야 할 영역이지만 아직 이에 대한 연구자료가 부족하다. 따라서 이번 연구에서는 호스피스 병동에 입원해 있는 말기 암환자들을 대상으로 영적 안녕과 통증, 불안 및 우울과의 연관성에 대하여 살펴보았다. 방법: 서울소재 일개 대학병원에 입원해 있는 환자를 대상으로 연구자와 연구간호사가 연구에 동의한 50명의 환자에게 자기 기입식 설문지를 배부하는 방법으로 설문을 시행하였다. 영적 안녕지수의 측정은 Functional Assessment of Chronic-Illness Therapy-Spirituality (FACIT-Sp)의 영적 상태 12문항을 이용하였으며 병원 우울불안지수는 Hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS), 통증지수의 측정은 BPI-K를 이용하였다. 수집된 자료는 Spearmans' rank test, T-test, univariate and multivariate regression analysis를 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 영적 안녕은 평균 통증 강도(r=-0.283, P<0.05), 불안 하부척도(HADS-A)(r=-0.613, P<0.05), 우울 하부척도(HADS-D)(r=-0.526, P<0.05)와 상관관계를 보였다. 다른 변수들의 영향을 보정한 뒤에도 영적 안녕은 종교유무(OR=9.193, 95% CI=4.158~14.229, P<0.001)와 불안하부척도(OR=-1.03, 95% CI=-1.657~-0.403, P=0.002)와 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 결론: 말기암환자의 영적 안녕감은 통증, 우울, 불안 점수와 유의한 상관관계를 가졌으며 종교가 있고 우울지수가 낮은 경우 영적 안녕감의 증가와 유의한 상관관계를 가졌다. 추후 전향적 연구를 통한 영적 말기암환자의 영적 중재 및 영적 지지에 대한 노력이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The correlation between glucose concentration and parameters was the best at 610nm. 30535 T00401030535 ^x Radiation-induced fibrosarcoma tumors were grown on the flanks of C3H mice. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. On this base, we composed of the radial pulse diagnosis system in korean traditional medicine. The system composed of a radial pulse wave detection system and a radial pulse diagnosis system. To synthesize microspheres for biomedical application, "two stage shot growth method" was developed. The uniformity ratio of synthesized microspheres was always smaller than 1.05. And the surface charge density (or the number of ionizable functional groups) of the microspheres synthesized by "two stage shot growth method" was 6~13 times higher than that of the microspheres synthesized by conventional seeded batch copolymerization.
