영상처리에 의한 장미 선별 (On-Line Sorting of Cut Roses by Color Image Processing)

  • A prototype cut-flower sorter was developed and tested for its performance with five varieties of roses. Support plates driven by a chain mechanism transported the roses into an image inspection chamber. Color image processing algorithms were developed to evaluate the length, thickness, and straightness of stem and color, height, and maturity of bud. The average absolute errors of the system for the measurements of stem length, stem thickness, and height of bud were 19.7 mm, 0.5 mm, and 3.8 mm, respectively. The results of classification by the sorter were compared with those of a human inspector for straightness of stem and maturity of bud. The classification error for the straightness of stem was 8.6%, when both direct image and reflected image by a mirror were analyzed. The accuracy in classifying the maturity of bud varied among the varieties, the smallest for‘Nobless’(1.5%) and the largest for‘Rote Rose’(13.5%). The time required to process a rose averaged 2.06 seconds, equivalent to the capacity of 1,600 roses per hour.

고밀도 PLA의 자동 Layout System의 구성 (Automatic Layout of High Density PLA)

  • 고밀도 PLA(Programmable Logic Array) layout의 생성, 간소화 및 검증을 자동화한 일련의 유용프로그램을 개발하였다. 이에는 논리 함수로부터 진리표를 만들어 내는 프로그램. 논리 간소화 프로그램 PLA재배열 프로그랭. stick diagram을 그릴 구 있는 화일을 만들어 내는 프로그램, dynamic CMOS PLA의 layout 생성 프로그램, 그리고 bipartite row folded CMOS PLA layout 생성 프로그램이 포함된다. 크기의 최소화는 주로 논리 간소화 프로그램과 bipartlte row folding 프로그램에 의해수행되며, 최대지연시간은 재배열 프로그램에 의해 작아진다. 자동으로 생성된 layout에 대한 정보는 CIF(Caltach Int-ermidate Form)로 저장된다. 각 프로그램은 C언어로 작성되었으며, VAX-l1/750 (UNIX)에서 수행되었다.

  • We usually use the simulation technique in the evaluation and the test of a design alternative of Automated Guided Vehicle System. In this paper, we introduce a simulation code generator which can assist simulation programmer in model development and programming. It consists of user interface, program editor, and program sorter. SIMAN is used as the target language.

순로정보 데이터베이스 프로토타입 개발 (Development of DSI(Delivery Sequence Information) Database Prototype)

  • As current postal automation is limited to dispatch and arrival sorting, delivery sequence sorting is performed manually by each postman. It not only acts as a bottleneck process in the overall mailing process but is expensive operation. To cope with this problem effectively, delivery sequence sorting automation is required. The important components of delivery sequence sorting automation system are sequence sorter and Hangul OCR which function is to extract the address of delivery point. DSI database will be interfaced to both Hangul OCR and sequence sorter for finding the accurate delivery sequence number and stacker number. The objectives of this research are to develop DSI(Delivery Sequence Information) database prototype and client application for managing information effectively. For database requirements collection and analysis, we draw all possible sorting plans, and apply the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method to determine the optimal one. And then, we design DSI database schema based on the optimal one and implement it using Oracle RDBMS. In addition, as address information in DIS database consist of hierarchical structure which has its correspondence sequence number, so it is important to reorganize sequence information accurately when address information is inserted, deleted or updated. To increase delivery accuracy, we reflect this point in writing application.

우편물 자도처리 촉진을 위한 우편용 고객 바코드 검증 시스템 (The Verification System of the Customer Barcode for the Advanced Automatic Processing of the Mail Items)

  • 현재 유편봉투의 상태를 점검한 후, 우편 자동처리 센터(우편집 중국)에서 거의 대부분 OCR(Optical Character Recognition)로 우편주소 및 우편번호를 판독하여 3 of 5 형광(발광) 바코드로 7자리를 인쇄하고, 바코드 구분기(Barcode Sorter)에서 우편물을 자동구분 처리하고 있다. 일반적으로 자동처리 중에 우편주소 및 우편번호 잘못 기재, 주소 및 바코드 인쇄품질의 불량 등에 의하여 오류로 구분되어지는 우편 물량은 전체 우편물량의 31∼35%를 차지하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 도입될 고객 바코드 인쇄제도를 지원하기 위한 우편용 3 of 5 고객 바코드 및 우편주소 검증시스템을 개발하였다. 고객 바코드 검증시스템은 정해진 규격에 의해 고객 바코드가 정확하게 인쇄되었는지 검사하는 검증자 3 of 5 고객 바코드 검증시스템, 바코드 판독결과에 의하여 우편주소가 올바르게 작성되었는지 검사하는 우편주소 검증시스템을 제공하는 것이다.

  • In order to manage a cluster system that consists of a number servers, management aspects such as configuration management, fault management, performance management, and user management should be considered. Especially, it is necessary to monitor performances for performance and fault management. An agent in each server collects performance counters, status changes, and events occurred in normal or abnormal states. The data collected are delivered to a collector sorter and processed in a report tool for performance analysts and management decision in the cluster system point of view, by detecting fault state and tracing out resource usage, service response, and response, and states until failed. In this paper we propose an architecture modeling of a performance report tool for proactive cluster system management. Some results on a cluster system are presented.

농촌지역 혼합건설폐기물의 중·소규모 배출현장용 이동식 분리선별기 개발을 위한 기초연구 (A Basic Study on the Mobile Separator and Sorter Development of Small and Medium-sized Discharge Site's Mixed Construction Waste in Rural Area)

  • This study aimed to develop a mobile separating and sorting device for discharge sites to separate and sort mixed construction waste generated in small and medium scale in small provincial cities into inorganic materials and combustible materials. The study results can be summarized as follows: 1) As a result of analyzing the existing domestic technology for the separating and sorting mixed construction waste, a device sorting the waste by fusing the vibration screen, disc screen, air blowing methods and the separating and sorting the combustible waste is applied in Korea. 2) In foreign countries, the air blowing, screen, gravity sorters are used for separating and sorting combustible waste in the same way as in Korea. Especially German T Company suggests a construction waste separating and sorting system using an optical sorter. 3) As for the test device for separating and sorting mixed construction waste to be buried in landfill, the processing capacity was set as 16 tons per day. 4) For separating and sorting inorganic materials by granularity, this study set a trommel with two types of diameter as a basic. To operate the mobile all-in-one system, the device is designed to locate a conveyor, a combustible waste conveying device, inside of the trommel. 5) The device is designed in a mobile mode under the concept of primary separating and sorting device, and it can be transported using a 2.5-ton truck minimum. The diameter and length of the trommel are designed to be within 1500mm and 3000mm, respectively. In a further study, an optimized separating and sorting technology is planned to be presented through an experimental study for processing efficiency analysis at the mixed construction waste site by manufacturing the pilot experiment facility reflecting the design elements in the result of this study.

  • A high-throughput sorting (HTS) system has been designed to separate target particles using a negative dielectrophoretic (n-DEP) force. The system consists of a meso-sized channel and a cantilever-type electrode(CE) array designed to separate a large number of target particles by discerning subtle difference of weight and dielectric material property of the particles. Using the polystyrene beads with various sizes of 10, 25 and $50{\mu}m$, the developed system exhibits high-throughput sorting of about 200 beads/sec and more than 80 % of separation efficiency.

  • In the 90 years or so since the beginning of the 20 th century , orchard growing and agricultural fields in Japan have undergone considerable change in terms of production volume, a seen in Fig. 1. as this change in volume progressed, sorting and packing machines have also grown from the first wooden tools, almost too simple to be called " machines" into sophisticated devices that bring together diverse technologies such as machinery , electronics, and optics. Nowadays, Japan/s agricultural industry is facing unprecedentedly serious labor shortage and the rapid aging of its experienced growers and producers, In additions, Japan has changed from a society oriented towards high-volume production and consumption to a more selective society which prefers smaller volume with the tastes of naturally ripended produce. With consumer trends changing there is a new demand on the part of growers for equipment that can not only measure the external quality of produce , but can measure inte nal quality as well.
