Bioequivalence of two aceclofenac tablets, the $Airtal^{TM}$ (Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and the $Senital^{TM}$ (Hana Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), was evaluated according to the guideline of KFDA. Fourteen normal male volunteers (age $20{\sim}29$ years old) were divided into two groups and a randomized $2{\times}2$ cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 100 mg of aceclofenac was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentration of aceclofenac in plasma was determined with an HPLC method using UV detector. The pharmacokinetic parameters ($C_{max}$, $T_{max}$ and $AUC_t$) were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of parameters. The results showed that the differences in $C_{max}$, $T_{max}$ and $AUC_t$ between two tablets were 3.69%, 2.44% and 0.51%, respectively. The powers $(1-{\beta})$ for $C_{max}$, $T_{max}$ and $AUC_t$ were 87.85%, 98.70% and more than 99%, respectively. Detectable differences $({\Delta})$ and confidence intervals were all less than ${\pm}20%$. All of these parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that $Senital^{TM}$ tablet is bioequivalent to $Airtal^{TM}$ tablet.
The purpose of this paper was to investigate the effect of a high-energy milling (HEM) process on the particle morphology and the correlation between a thermal treatment and tetragonal/monoclinic nanostructured zirconia powders obtained by a precipitation process. To eliminate chloride residue ions from hydrous zirconia, a modified washing method was used. It was found that the used washing method was effective in removing the chloride from the precipitated gel. In order to investigate the effect of a pre-milling process on the particle morphology of the precipitate, dried $Zr(OH)_4$ was milled using a HEM machine with distilled water. The particle size of the $Zr(OH)_4$ powder exposed to HEM reduced to 100~150 nm, whereas that of fresh $Zr(OH)_4$ powder without a pre-milling process had a large and irregular size of 100 nm~1.5 ${\mu}m$. Additionally, modified heat treatment process was proposed to achieve nano-sized zirconia having a pure monoclinic phase. It was evident that two-step calcining process was effective in perfectly eliminating the tetragonal phase, having a small average particle of ~100 nm with good uniformity compared to the sample calcined by a single-step process, showing a large average particle size of ~300 nm with an irregular particle shape and a broad particle size distribution. The modified method is considered to be a promising process for nano-sized zirconia having a fully monoclinic phase.

This study was carried out to analyze the vegetation and soil characteristic, and ordination of Wasabia japonica population at Ulleung-Do. The Wasabia japonica population is distributed in altitudes of 440m to 570m at Seo-Myon and also in altitudes of 340m near Nari-valley. In the study sites, soil organic matter, nitrogen, available phosphorous, exchangeable potassium, exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium concentration, cation exchange capacity, and soil pH were 15.01%, 0.48%, 44.19ppm, 2.00(me/100g), 7.19(me/100g), 4.44(me/100g), 22.55(me/100g), and 6.17, respectively. The Rumohra standishii dominant population was mainly found in high in soil nitrogen, organic matter, CEC, and exchangeable calcium concentration in comparison with Boehmeria spicata dominant population. The Boehmeria spicata dominant population was mainly found in high in soil pH.
Effect of temperature on some quality characteristics of aqueous extracts of sea mustard was investigated. The concentration of total solids and protein and their yields in the extracts were increased as the extraction temperature raised from $50^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$ during initial period of extraction. However the lower values of the percent of supernatant was obtained at $50^{\circ}C$ and $100^{\circ}C$. The percent of yields of solids and protein for 1 hour extraction at $100^{\circ}C$ were 21.56% and 4.7%, respectively. The highest viscosity, which was $2.5{\sim}4.0$ times of higher values of the other extracts, was obtained by 2 hours extraction at $100^{\circ}C$. The turbidity was gradually decreased after 1 hour extraction. The activation energy calculated for initial increase rate of solid and protein concentration were 1.18 and 3.90 Cal/mole, respectively.
Effect of potassium phosphonate on control of potato basal stem rot caused by Pythium myriotylum in hydroponics system was evaluated at spring and fall cultivation in Jeju island in 2001. Potassium phosphonate 200 ppm treatment, which was directly supplemented into the nutrient solution, showed 90.5%, and 100 ppm treatment showed 50.5% control value in spring cultivation. Fall cultivation, potassium phosphonate 200 ppm treatment showed 100%, and 100 ppm treatment showed 69.9% control value. Potassium phosphonate 200 ppm treatment, basal stem rot of potato started to develop 10 days ofter inoculation into the hydroponics system showed 8.0% in infection rate. Potassium phosphonate 100 ppm treatment, after 5 days showed 10.0%, and after 10 days showed 20.0% infection rate, but the non-treated was after 5 days showed 56.7%, and after 10 days showed 96.9% infection rate.
The present study intends to characterize the DNA damage-inducible responses in Caenorhabditis elegans. To study UV-inducible responses in C. elegans, two UV-inducible cDNA clones were isolated from C. elegans by using subtration hybridization method. To investigate the expression of isolated genes, UV100 and UV150, the cellular levels of the transcript were determined by Northern blot analysis after UV-irradiation. The transcripts of isolated gene increased rapidly and reached maximum accumulation after UV-irradiation. Compared to the message levels of control, the levels of maximal increase were approximately 2 folds to UV-irradiation. These results implied that the effects of damaging agents are complex and different regulatory pathways exist for the induction of these genes. To study the function of UV100 and UV150 gene in response to UV irradiation, we carried out a RNAi experiment and investigated the UV sensivity. This result indicated that UV100 gene involved in stage-specific repair pathway or regulated by development.

In this study, we reported the effect of porcine pancreas lipase treatment in the presence of a calcium chloride and Triton X-100 on moisture regain and wettability of PET fabrics. The moisture regain of PET fabrics in the presence of 0.5% surfactant showed a 1.5-fold decrease, compared to the absence of it. Triton X-100 acted as an inhibitor to porcine pancreas lipase hydrolytic activity. The moisture regain and wettability of porcine pancreas lipase treated PET fabrics improved when more than 10mM of calcium chloride was added to the treatment solution. Porcine pancreas lipase treatment caused voids and cracks on PET fabrics.
This study compared the contents of ginseng prosapogenin depending on the extracting conditions of Skin White ginseng(Panax ginseng) to provide basic information for developing Skin White ginseng-based functional foods. Our findings show that the content of crude saponin peaked at 4 hours of extraction(SWG-4) and when extracted at $100^{\circ}C$. However, the content of total saponin reached its height at 8 hours of extraction at $100^{\circ}C$(SWG-8). On the other hand, the content of prosapogenin reached their heights at 60 hours of extraction(SWG-60), followed by 60 hours of extraction at $100^{\circ}C$. And at $100^{\circ}C$ the main prosapogenin of the content of Red and Black ginseng ginsenoside $Rg_3$, $Rg_5$ and $Rk_1$ reached their heights at 60 hours of extraction(SWG-60), followed by 60 hours of extraction.
A density functional theory (DFT) study of $CO_2$ adsorption on barium oxide (BaO) adsorbents is conducted to understand the chemical activity of the oxygen site on the BaO (100) surface. This study evaluated the adsorption energies and geometries of a single $CO_2$ molecule and a pair of $CO_2$ molecules on the BaO (100) surface. A quantum calculation was performed to obtain information on the molecular structures and molecular reaction mechanisms; the results of the calculation indicated that $CO_2$ was adsorbed on BaO to form a stable surface carbonate with strong chemisorption. To study the interactive $CO_2$ adsorption on the BaO (100) surface, a pair of $CO_2$ molecules was bound to neighboring and distant oxygen sites. The interactive $CO_2$ adsorption on the BaO surface was found to slightly weaken the adsorption energy, owing to the interaction between $CO_2$ molecules.

Metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semiconductor(WFIS) capacitors using rapid thermal annealed LiNbO$_3$/AlN/Si(100) structure were fabricated and demonstrated nonvolatile memory operations. The capacitors on highly doped Si wafer showed hysteresis behavior like a butterfly shape due to the ferroelectric nature of the LiNbO$_3$ films. The typical dielectric constant value of LiNbO$_3$ film in the MFIS device was about 27, The gate leakage current density of the MFIS capacitor was 10$^{-9}$ A/cm$^2$ order at the electric field of 500 kV/cm. The typical measured remnant polarization(2P$_{r}$) and coercive filed(Ec) values were about 1.2 $\mu$C/cm$^2$ and 120 kV/cm, respectively The ferroelectric capacitors showed no polarization degradation up to 10$^{11}$ switching cycles when subjected to symmetric bipolar voltage pulses of 1 MHz. The switching charges degraded only by 10 % of their initial values after 4 days at room temperature.e.
