Argo drifters provide information of the vertical structure in the water column and have a potential for the improvement of understanding phytoplankton primary production and biogeochemical cycles in combination with ocean color satellite data, which can obtain the horizontal distribution of phytoplankton biomass in the surface layer. Our examples show that using Argo drifters with satellite-measured horizontal distribution of phytoplankton biomass at the sea surface allow an improved understanding of the development of the spring bloom. The other possible uses of Argo drifter are discussed.

Most segmented polyurethanes are prepared from a two-step method where the polyol is end-capped with an excess of diisocyanate, followed by chain extension with stoichiometric amount of chain extender, In the final polymer the hard and soft segments tend to segregate, due to thermodynamic immiscibility and the differences in chemical structure between hard and soft segments, and produce a phase separated morphology of hard segment-rich and soft segment-rich phase. 본 논문은 3상 6/8 SRM에 대한 회전자와 고정자의 구조, 회전자 위치 검출, 인버터의 특성에 관한 연구이다. 또한 선형구간에서의 고정자 극호 상수와 회전자 극호 상수의 범위에 대해 해석하였다. 그리고 이를 2D FEM 해석을 통하여 최적의 고정자 극호 상수와 주스위치의 최적 스위치 오프각을 해석하였다. 또한 시작기의 제작을 통하여 실험으로 해석결과를 입증하였다.

We present here a numerical solution for obtaining propagation characteristics including lossess for various modes of an multi-layered optical waveguide structure. The method is based on transmission line analogy. A comparison with other method shows the our results are accurate and simple.

Superconducting Generator has different structure and characteristics from conventional generators. As a first step to designing a Superconducting Generator, this paper deals with 2D analysis models. The first model is non-slotted one and the second is slotted type. So this paper suggests the differences in 20 magnetic field analysis between two machines.

Farnesylhydroquinone (1) has been isolated from the mycelium of a marine-derived fungus of the genus Penicillium. The structure of the compound (1) has been elucidated by spectral method. The compound 1 exhibits potent radical scavenging activity ($IC_{50}{\;}12.5{\;}{\mu}M$) against the DPPH.
