소셜네트워크서비스 특성이 이용자 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Characteristics of SNS on User Satisfaction and Intention)

  • The identified research result can be outlined more specifically as follows: first, informativeness of SNS was giving positive impact to some degree on the user satisfaction; second, connectivity of SNS was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; third, accessibility was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; forth, usability of SNS was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; fifth, amusement of SNS was giving very positive impact on the user satisfaction; the satisfaction level of SNS users gave positive impact on the further intention of SNS users. It was identified, however, that interactiveness of SNS was the factor that did not give much impact on the user satisfaction. This result comes from the analysis that SNS is convenient to actively explore and get further information that users wish to find, while they are insufficient in function to provide the information other users require or exchange information among users through the SNS.

구조적 및 관계적 사회 자본이 SNS 이용자 만족도와 지속적 정보공유 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Structural and Relational Social Capital on SNS User Satisfaction and Continuous Information Sharing Intention)

  • 본 연구에서는 SNS 공간에서 사회적 자본이 어떻게 형성되고 이용되고 있는지에 대해 규명하고, 나아가 구조적 및 관계적 사회 자본이 이용자만족도와 지속적 정보공유의도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 사회적 상호작용 연대감(구조적 사회 자본)은 관계적 사회 자본(SNS 사이트 신뢰, SNS 이용자 신뢰 및 상호호혜성)의 주요 결정 요인으로 검증되었다. 또한 관계적 사회 자본 중 SNS 사이트 신뢰가 이용자 만족도와 관련성이 높게 나타난 반면, SNS 이용자 신뢰 및 상호호혜성은 이용자 만족도와 관련성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 관계적 사회 자본 중 SNS 사이트 신뢰, 상호호혜성은 지속적 정보공유 의도 형성에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타난 반면에, SNS 이용자 신뢰는 지속적 정보공유 의도와 관련성이 없는 것으로 검증되었다. 본 연구결과는 SNS 공간에서의 사회적 자본에 대한 학문적 연구와 실무적 시사점을 제공하고 있다.

A Study on the Relationships among SNS Characteristics, Satisfaction and User Acceptance

  • Social network services can be defined as an individual web page which enables online, human-relationship building by collecting useful information and sharing it with specific or unspecific people. Recently, as the social network services(SNS) such as Twitter and Facebook have been paid attention in many fields of the society. SNSs are also one of the fastest channels to get news which people may not be able to see on TV or newspaper. The number of people who feel they are benefiting from social network services are increasing dramatically. A number of researches about SNS are underway. The study based on the Technology Acceptance Model empirically investigates the relationship between characteristics of SNS (system, service, information, and emotional) and user satisfaction of SNS. The study also analyzes how the relationshipa between SNS characteristics, satisfaction and user acceptance are moderated by country type of SNS users and inclination toward SNS acceptance. To achieve these research purposes, the study conducted various statistical analyses using questionnaire of the Korean and Chinese SNS users. The results of the study are followings. First, SNS characteristics have a positive effect to the user satisfaction. Second, SNS satisfaction have a positive effect to the user acceptance. Third, the relationship between SNS characteristics and user satisfaction is moderated by the country type of SNS users and inclination toward SNS acceptance. The study results could provide some implications to researchers who have interest in studying SNS, also could help business managers to operate and develop their SNS site more effectively.

SNS 환경에서 신뢰성이 강한 사용자 프라이버시 모델 설계 (Design of User Privacy Model for Strong Reliability in SNS Environment)

  • 최근 페이스북(Facebook)과 트위터(Twitter) 등의 폭발적인 성장에 따라 SNS는 사회적 학문적인 관심의 대상으로 부상하고 있다. 그러나, SNS는 이용자의 신상 정보와 사적인 의견 교환을 근간으로 사용자의 프라이버시가 노출될 수 있는 문제가 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 현재 SNS에서 이용자의 개인 프라이버시를 보호하기 위해 사용되고 있는 블록킹 대신 데이터 분리와 데이터 허위 정보를 이용한 SNS 사용자 프라이버시 보호 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델은 사용자의 내용 정보를 분리하여 분리된 내용 정보에 허위 정보를 추가함으로써 제3자가 사용자의 내용 정보를 수집하여도 정확한 정보를 추출하지 못하도록 하고 있다. 또한, 제3자가 이용자의 정보를 불법적으로 악용하지 않도록 SNS 서비스 제공자가 이용자의 정보를 활용할 경우 이용자에게 사전에 동의를 구한다.

  • The popularity of Social Network Service (SNS) providing web sites has increased continuously by using a variety of mobile devices. The study results show that security of SNS, efficiency of SNS, safety, empathy of SNS quality, easy of use of SNS, assurance of SNS, service variety of SNS are having positive impact to some degree on the user satisfaction. Further, the user satisfaction of SNS users have a positive impact on the continuance usage intention of SNS users. This results show that various SNS qualities are necessary to actively explore and obtain further information that users intend to find, while they are insufficient in function to provide the information other users require or exchange information with other users through the SNS.

The Effect of Users' Motivations and Interactivity on Online Word of Mouth

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of two different kinds of interactivity, such as user-to-user and user-to-media interaction, on the relationship between SNS motivation and online word of mouth (WOM). An online survey was conducted with SNS users in Korea. Using the convenience-sampling method, 300 surveys were collected and 295 were used in the actual analysis after excluding data with careless responses or missing values. Hypotheses were tested using Structure Equation Model (SEM) and path analysis by using AMOS22. The results indicate that four different SNS motivations (self-expression, relational, fun, and browsing motivation) have a partially significant positive effect on perceived user-to-user and user-to-media interaction in SNS. Although both user-to-user interactivity and user-to-media interactivity were found to have a significant effect on online word of mouth, by comparing the standardized regression coefficients in these relationships, it was found that user-to-user interactivity has a greater effect on online WOM than user-to-media interactivity. These results show that the motivated SNS users want to express their desire to communicate with other users in contrast than their desire to learn media functions when motivated SNS users reveal their personalities, knowledge, and abilities. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.

  • Investments in information and communication technologies (ICT) around the world have grown at an enormous rate over the past two decades, which reflects a new emphasis on consumer mobile devices. A social network service (SNS) is an online service that aims to build social relations among people who share interests and activities. The role of SNS is enormous for communicating ideas and opinions among social participants. The use of SNS has recently become one of the most popular social activities worldwide. This research investigated relation between personal characteristics, social characteristics and user satisfaction on SNS then, analyzed how these factors affecting continuance usage intention on SNS users. The conclusion is summarized as below. The study results show that informativeness, pleasure, innovativeness, relationship and empathy of SNS are having positive impact to some degree on the user satisfaction. Further, the user satisfaction of SNS users and quality of life have a positive impact on the continuance usage intention of SNS users. This results show that various SNS qualities are necessary to actively explore and obtain further information that users intend to find, while they are insufficient in function to provide the information other users require or exchange information with other users through the SNS.

SNS 광고속성이 광고호감도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향: SNS 이용동기 및 이용강도에 따른 차이 비교 (The Impact of SNS Advertising Attribute on Advertising Likeability and Purchase Intention: A Comparison of Difference According to Use Motive and Use Intensity of SNS)

  • 본 연구는 SNS 광고에 있어 SNS 이용동기 및 이용강도에 따라 광고속성 요인들이 광고호감도와 구매의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는지에 대한 실험연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과, 우선 SNS 이용동기에 따라 차이를 보여 인간관계 관리의 이용동기 이용자에서는 광고내용의 신뢰성이 가장 크게 영향을 미치고 있고 광고의 흥미적 요소인 오락성도 중요 요인으로 영향을 미치고 있다. 관심사 정보공유의 이용동기 이용자에서는 SNS 이용에 대한 광고의 방해성이 가장 크게 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 상황에서 광고의 정보제공력을 나타내는 정보성이 긍정적인 중요 요인으로 영향을 미치고 있다. 그리고 이용강도에 따라서도 차이를 보여 높은 이용강도의 이용자에서는 광고내용의 신뢰성과 정보성이 보다 크게 영향을 미치고 있다. 낮은 이용강도의 이용자에서는 광고의 방해성이 가장 크게 부정적인 영향을 미치며 나머지 요인들은 작게 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 결과는 SNS의 이용행태 특성에 따른 효과적인 SNS 광고의 중요 요소를 설명할 수 있는 정보를 제공할 수 있다는데 의의가 있다.

Social Network Service에서의 사용자 저항에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting the User Resistance in Social Network Service)

  • Purpose: The widespread use of social network services (SNS) has caused users concern about the disclosure of their privacy or personal information. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors of privacy concern and self presentation that affect the user resistance in the use of social network service. Methods: This study verifies the factors that affecting the user resistance in SNS. The research model suggested in this study is tested via a survey of 260 SNS users. SPSS and Smart PLS had been used to test the suggested hypotheses. Results: This study shows that privacy experience, privacy awareness, self esteem, and social desirability significantly influence perceived risk and that privacy awareness, self esteem, self efficacy, and perceived risk significantly influence perceived trust. It also verifies that perceived risk and perceived trust positively affect user resistance. Conclusion: This paper suggests that high awareness on privacy of SNS user encourages the SNS companies to consider the privacy protection mechanism for eliminating various factors that affecting the risk. This study also shows that the privacy calculus model applies to understanding the mechanism on resistance of SNS user.

모바일 SNS속성이 관계형성과 정보공유를 매개로 사용자 만족도에 미치는 영향 (A study on Mobile SNS Attributes Effects on Information share, Relationship formation, and User satisfaction)

  • This research conducted a survey targeting mobile SNS users in order to see whether mobile SNS attribute( accessibility, usefulness, newness, connectivity) through the medium of information share and relationship formation had a positive influence on user satisfaction. The results of the analysis showed that usefulness and accessibility had a significant influence on information share, while accessibility and connectivity had a significant influence on relationship formation. Information share and relationship formation both had a significant influence on user satisfaction. Based on this research, an angle of approach different from the business transactions and information services offered in existing mobile networks is necessary when corporations provide SNS through mobiles. When considering that the most important part in the use of mobile SNS is the social component, this can be actively used for the development and marketing of SNS services. Therefore, the SNS provider must focus its efforts on finding a method to stimulate user sensibilities in order to increase customer satisfaction and draw out continuous usage.
