The Effect of Fashion-Related SNS Usage Motivation on Consumers' Social Comparison and Purchase Behavior - Focused on Chinese Consumers - (패션관련 SNS 이용동기가 사회비교 및 패션제품 구매행동에 미치는 영향 - 중국소비자를 중심으로 -)

  • SNS (social networking service) plays an important role in delivering information regarding fashion brands and providing a space for communication between fashion retailers and SNS users, as well as between users. This study primarily focuses on exploring the relationships among the motivation of SNS users and social comparison, clothing purchasing behaviors and the difference in the relationships according to individual characteristics. An online survey was conducted on Chinese female consumers in their 20's and 30's who had experience in fashion SNS. A total of 297 women completed online survey. The results of the study revealed that: (1) consumers who have stronger motivation of information seeking and interpersonal communication through fashion SNS reached more active upward comparison and peer comparison accordingly; (2) upward comparison had a significant effect on conspicuous consumption and bandwagon, while peer comparison had no significant effect; and (3) the self-esteem of fashion SNS users significantly moderated the effect of social comparison on conspicuous consumption and conformity consumption. This study contributed to expanding the knowledge on the relationships among the motivations of SNS users and social comparison, and shed light on Chinese SNS users' characteristics and purchasing behaviors in the fashion SNS context. This study also provides vital implications to fashion brands and retailers.

A Study on the Analysis of the Congestion Level of Tourist Sites and Visitors Characteristics Using SNS Data (SNS 데이터를 활용한 관광지 혼잡도 및 방문자 특성 분석에 관한 연구)

  • SNS has become a very close service to our daily life. As marketing is done through SNS, places often called hot places are created, and users are flocking to these places. However, it is often crowded with a large number of people in a short period of time, resulting in a negative experience for both visitors and service providers. In order to improve this problem, it is necessary to recognize the congestion level, but the method to determine the congestion level in a specific area at an individual level is very limited. Therefore, in this study, we tried to propose a system that can identify the congestion level information and the characteristics of visitors to a specific tourist destination by using the data on the SNS. For this purpose, posting data uploaded by users and image analysis were used, and the performance of the proposed system was verified using the Naver DataLab system. As a result of comparative verification by selecting three places by type of tourist destination, the results calculated in this study and the congestion level provided by DataLab were found to be similar. In particular, this study is meaningful in that it provides a degree of congestion based on real data of users that is not dependent on a specific company or service.

  • According to increasing SNS users and developing smart devices like smart phone and tablet PC recently, many techniques to classify user emotions with social network information are researching briskly. The use emotion classification stands for distinguishing its emotion with text and images listed on his/her SNS. This paper suggests a method to classify user emotions through sampling a value of a representative figure on a trigonometrical function, a representative adjective on text, and a canny algorithm on images. The sampling representative adjective on text is selected as one of high frequency in the samplings and measured values of positive-negative by SentiWordNet. Figures sampled on images are selected as the representative in figures; triangle, quadrangle, and circle as well as classified user emotions by measuring pleasure-unpleased values as a type of figures and inclines. Finally, this is re-defined as x-y graph that represents pleasure-unpleased and positive-negative values with wheel of emotions by Plutchik. Also, we are anticipating for applying user-customized service through classifying user emotions on wheel of emotions by Plutchik that is redefined the representative adjectives and figures.

  • Recently, social network services (SNSs) most notably in Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin have became a worldwide sensation more than the other internet services. This study suggested social conformity theory is appropriate tools for diagnosis to rapid adoption and diffusion of SNSs. Based on previous research, we suggested three different aspects of social conformity:social imitation conformity, social connection conformity, and social comparative conformity. Namely conformity has positive effect on user's three kinds of commitment which called continuance, normative, and affective commitment. we investigated user's commitment to the SNSs have positive effects on user's stickiness intention. Finally, we presented useful implications related to academy and industry.

  • 오늘날 전 세계적으로 스마트폰 사용자가 증가하면서 SNS(Social Network Service)를 활용한 어플리케이션의 이용이 더욱 보편화 되고 있는 추세이다. 이에 따라 모바일 환경의 SNS 어플리케이션에 맞는 사용자 인터페이스에 대한 수요 역시 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 SNS 어플리케이션에 적용할 수 있는 사용자에게 더 높은 몰입감과 편의성을 제공하기 위한 직관적인 3D 사용자 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 Facebook Open API를 기반으로 소셜 네트워크 구성원의 프로필 사진을 3D 방식으로 배치하는 인터페이스 기법과 효과를 구현하며, 이를 통해 사용자의 SNS 어플리케이션 사용성을 제고한다.

  • Forming a network, through Social Network Services (SNS), among a group of people who share the same hobby or interests could increase the information sharing among the members at an exponential rate. Moreover, SNS users' behavior extends beyond the traditional introverted consumption behavior to a proactive behavior by owning or actively sharing product information. For firms, such proactive consumer behavior translates into marketing effects such as the word of mouth (WOM) effect. Therefore, SNSs are accepted not only as a communications channel between firms and consumers but also as marketing channel, suggesting the possibility of a new revenue source. In this context, we will explore into the factors of SNS contents which conserve firms' image and product information, and effects of the factors on consumer attitude and WOM.

  • Social commerce is simply a kind of e-commerce by adopting SNS(Social networking service). It has been spread as SNS is widely used all over the world. In this situation, companies attempt to make the best use of social commerce to understand its advertising effect and to sell more products and/or services they provide. Although social commerce is a recent trend in Korea, it is necessary for companies to find a way to effectively adopt and utilize the social commence. Therefore, the focus of this study is to identify critical success factors for social shopping. We generated 40 items to measure 8 constructs. Using data collected from 300 respondents who have experienced both SNS and social shopping, we analyzed our model and its hypotheses. The analysis result shows that social shopping customers don't use SNS to get information when they purchase products and/or services in social shopping web sites.

  • 본 연구에서는 스마트폰의 보급과 인터넷의 발달로 빠르게 성장하고, 그 영향력이 확산되고 있는 SNS 기반 사회적 자본이 고객충성도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. SNS 커뮤니케이션의 활용은 SNS에서 영향력이 있는 사람이 다른 사람에게 영향을 끼칠 수 있다는 점과 그 영향력이 상상외로 넓고 빠르기 때문에 마케팅적 측면에서 중요시 되고 있는 것이다. 소상공인이 생계형 창업이 대부분이라 사업을 주도적으로 이끌어가는 주체이며, 스마트폰의 고급화와 인터넷의 발달로 빠르게 성장하고, 그 영향력이 확산되고 있는 SNS가 소통을 위한 채널및 마케팅을 위한 채널로 인정받고 있다. SNS에 대한 관심과 수요가 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 추세에 있으며 앞으로도 빠른 속도로 급성장 할 것으로 전망하고 있다. 소상공인의 활성화를 위한 연구들은 최근 많아지고 있는 추세이나, 본 연구에서는 5년 미만 창업기업을 중심으로 국내 소상공인을 대상으로 한 연구의 비중이 증대되고 있는 사회적 자본(Social Capital)에 대한 연구를 소상공인 대상으로 SNS기반 사회적 자본에 대해 살펴봄으로써 창업을 준비 중인 소상공인의 경쟁력 확보를 위해 고객충성도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.
