Measurement of blade strain with sensors directly installed on the blade has one critical issue, how to send the sensor signal to the ground. Strain-gauges have been dominantly used to directly measure stress of a blade and either a slip ring or a telemetry system has to be used to send measured signal to the ground. However, both systems have many inherent problems and sometimes very severe limitations to be practically used. In this paper, new on-line strain monitoring method using. FBG(Fiber Bragg Grating) sensors and a beam coupler is introduced. Measurement of rotor stress using FBG sensors is nothing new, but unlike other system which installs all necessary instruments on the rotor and use telemetry system to send data to the ground, this system makes use of light's unique characteristic - light travels through space. In this new approach, single optical fiber with many FBG sensors is installed on the blade and all other necessary instruments can be installed at ground thereby giving tremendous advantages over slip ring or telemetry system. A reference sensor is also introduced to compensate the beam coupler's transmission loss change due to rotation. The suggested system's good performance is demonstrated with experiments.
In this paper, It is studied to control and to monitor the remote system state using HTTP(Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) object communication. The remote control system is controlled by using a web browser or a application program. This system is organized by three different part depending on functionality-server part, client part, controller part. The java technology is used to composite the server part and the client part and C language is used for a controller. The server part is waiting for the request of client part and then the request is reached, the server part saves client data to the database and send a command set to the client part. The administrator can control the remote system just using a web browser. Remote part is worked by timer that is activated per 1 second. It gets the measurement data of the controller part, and then send the request to the server part and get a command set in the command repository of server part using the client ID. After interpreting the command set, the client part transfers the command set to the controller part. Controller part can be activated by the client part. If send command is transmitted by the client part, it sends sensor monitoring data to the client part and command set is transmitted then setting up the value of the controlled system.
We propose a heuristic buffer management scheme that uses both positive and negative acknowledgments to provide scalability and reliability. Under our scheme, most receiver nodes only send negative acknowledgments to their repair nodes to request packet retransmissions while some representative nodes also send positive acknowledgments to indicate which packets can be discarded from the repair node's buffer. Our scheme provides scalability because it significantly reduces the number of feedbacks sent by the receiver nodes. In addition, it provides fast recovery of transmission errors since the packets requested from the receiver nodes are almost always available in their buffers. Our scheme also reduces the number of additional retransmissions from the original sender node or upstream repair nodes. These features satisfy the original goal of treebased protocols since most packet retransmissions are performed within a local group.
Liquefied natural gas takes up six hundredths of the volume of natural gas, which makes storage and transportation much easier. To send out natural gas via a pipeline network across the nation, high-pressure LNG pumps supply highly compressed LNG to high-pressure vaporization facilities. The Number of high-pressure LNG pumps determined the send-out amount in LNG receiving terminal. So it is main equipment at LNG production process and should be maintained on best conditions. In this paper, to find out the cause of high beat vibration at cryogenic pumps, vibration and motor current signal analysis have been performed. High vibration of cryogenic pumps could be reduced due to the modification of motor rotor.

Hidden station problem can occur in power-line communication (PLC) networks. A simple solution to the problem has been proposed to use request-to-send (RTS)/clear-to-send (CTS) exchange, but this approach cannot solve the hidden station problem perfectly. This paper revisits the problem for PLC networks and designs a protocol to solve it. We first analyze the throughput performance degradation when the hidden station problem occurs in PLC networks. Then, we propose an interferer aware multiple access (IAMA) protocol to enhance throughput and fairness performances, which uses unique characteristics of PLC networks. Using the RTS/CTS exchange adaptively, the IAMA protocol protects receiving stations from being interfered with neighboring networks. Through extensive simulations, we show that our proposed protocol outperforms conventional random access protocols in terms of throughput and fairness.
Unmanned robots are very useful for autonomous security systems. These robots navigate autonomously move in a large area for surveillance. It is very important for robots that cover such a wide area to communicate with a control systems. Therefore, the control system needs various communication methods to check the status of the robot and send/receive messages. In addition, it is necessary to provide an easy interface for the user to send security mission commands to the robot. In this paper, we propose a control system based on a variety of communication techniques to perform security by safely communicating with a number of robots in a wide area space. The proposed system designed for considering user UI, data storage and management, and shows usability by constructing it in a real environment.
A load sharing algorithm is one of the important factors in computer system. In sender-initiated load sharing algorithms, when a distributed system becomes to heavy system load, it is difficult to find a suitable receiver because most processors have additional tasks to send. The sender continues to send unnecessary request messages for load transfer until a receiver is found while the system load is heavy. Because of these unnecessary request messages it results in inefficient communications, low cpu utilization, and low system throughput. To solve these problems, we propose a self-adjusting evolutionary algorithm for improved sender-initiated load sharing in distributed systems. This algorithm decreases response time and increases acceptance rate. Compared with the conventional sender-initiated load sharing algorithms, we show that the proposed algorithm performs better.
