새로운 공통접지 고신뢰성 AC-AC 전력변환기 (New Single-Phase AC-AC Converters With High-Reliability and Common-Ground Structure)

  • This paper proposes enhanced single-phase pulse width modulation buck, boost, and buck-boost type ac-ac converters. The proposed converters, where input and output voltages share a common ground, require no isolated voltage sensor and have no leakage current problem. The commutation problem is solved with series-connected switching cell structures without using an additional RC snubber. In addition, with the use of the polarity of input voltage, switching patterns are determined so that the inductor currents can flow through switching devices during all operational modes. Two switches are always turned on during a half-period of the input voltage; thus, the switching loss is significantly reduced. Detailed analysis and experimental results are provided to verify the performance of the proposed converter.

Synthesis of 6-Alkyloxyl-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinoliones and Their Anticonvulsant Activities

  • A series of 6-alkyloxyl-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinoliones (5a-5n) were synthesized through nitration, reduction, diazotization, hydrolysis and alkylation from 3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinolione. Their structures were characterized by IR, $^1H$-NMR and MS. The anticonvulsant activity was evaluated by the Maximal electroshock test (MES) and the subcutaneous pentylenetetrazole (Metrazole) test (sc-Met). The neurotoxicity was measured by the Rotarod test (Tox). The result showed that 6-hexyloxy-3,4-dihydro-2 (1H)-quinolinone (5c) was potent in anti-MES and anti-scMet test with $ED_{50}$ of 24.0 mg/kg and 21.2 mg/kg, respectively, albeit its $TD_{50}$ (67.6 mg/kg) revealed the high neurotoxicity. 6-Benzyloxy-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinolinone (5f) was less effective against MES induced seizure with $ED_{50}$ of 29.6 mg/kg, but no neurotoxicity was observed even under 300 mg/kg. Its Protective index (PI) was greater than 10 preferable to Phenytoin, Carbamazepin, Phenobarbital and Valproate.

  • 본 연구에서는 철근 콘크리트 벽과 강판 콘크리트 벽이 이질접합 형태로 만나는 구조물의 휨 및 전단거동 특성을 검토하기 위하여 L형과 I형 타입의 실험체를 제작하고 구조실험을 수행하였다. 실험 시, 지진하중 등에 대한 실험체의 동적특성을 확인하기 위하여 Push 및 Pull을 반복하는 싸이클 하중을 구현하고자 하였다. L형 실험체에 대한 면외 휨 실험결과, 실험체의 공칭강도를 초과하는 휨 성능을 발휘하였으며, 이에 따라 설계에 적용된 수직철근의 미겹침 이음길이의 타당성을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편, 강판 콘크리트 벽 내에 수평철근의 배근 유무를 변수로 구성한 두 개의 I형 실험체에 대한 면내 전단 실험결과, 수평철근의 배근 유무에 상관없이 공칭강도를 초과하는 전단 성능을 보였다.

  • 대기전력(Standby power) 소모가 발생하는 첫 번째 요인은 전원에서 IC로 들어오면서 거쳐야하는 기동전압 때문이며 나머지 하나는 IC가 동작할 때의 전류 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 대기전력 상태와 차단 시점의 패턴분석을 통해서 자동 On/Off할 수 있도록 하는 간단한 모듈장치 구성과 알고리즘 적용에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해서 전력 신호분석과 모델링에 근간을 두었으며 대기전력 절감을 위해서 On/Off 차단기준을 마련했다. On/Off 차단 시점을 찾기 위해서 $1^{st}$ SCS와 $2^{nd}$ SCS의 차분값(subtraction value), 그리고 콘센트로부터 유입된 초당 샘플링 계수에 대한 중간값(median value)을 중요한 파라미터로써 정의한 다음 대기전력 상태에서의 유사그룹 및 유력패턴 그룹 생성 알고리즘을 수행했다.

Investigation on the effect of vibration frequency on vortex-induced vibrations by section model tests

  • Higher-mode vertical vortex-induced vibrations (VIV) have been observed on several steel box-girder suspension bridges where different vertical modes are selectively excited in turn with wind velocity in accordance with the Strouhal law. Understanding the relationship of VIV amplitudes for different modes of vibration is very important for wind-resistant design of long-span box-girder suspension bridges. In this study, the basic rectangular cross-section with side ratio of B/D=6 is used to investigate the effect of different modes on VIV amplitudes by section model tests. The section model is flexibly mounted in wind tunnel with a variety of spring constants for simulating different modes of vibration and the non-dimensional vertical amplitudes are determined as a function of reduced velocity U/fD. Two 'lock-in' ranges are observed at the same onset reduced velocities of approximately 4.8 and 9.4 for all cases. The second 'lock-in' range, which is induced by the conventional vortex shedding, consistently gives larger responses than the first one and the Sc-normalized maximum non-dimensional responses are almost the same for different spring constants. The first 'lock-in' range where the vibration frequency is approximately two times the vortex shedding frequency is probably a result of super-harmonic resonance or the "frequency demultiplication". The main conclusion drawn from the section model study, central to the higher-mode VIV of suspension bridges, is that the VIV amplitude for different modes is the same provided that the Sc number for these modes is identical.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국제표준 도서관 성과지표 2007(ISO/DIS l1620 : 2007)의 구성 및 개요, 적용된 BSC 개념 등을 검토하고, 디지털도서관 성격의 성과지표 10개를 B대학 도서관에 직접 적용하여 그 시사점을 제시하는데 있다. ISO 11620은 TC46/SC8/WG4에서 다루어지고 있으며, ISO/DIS 11620:2007은 균형성과표(BSC: balanced scorecard) 구조를 이용하여 44개의 성과지표를 관점별로 제시하고 있다. BSC 구조에 의해 4개의 관점별로 구분된 44개의 성과지표를 전통적, 하이브리드, 디지털도서관 성격의 지표로 재 구분하였고, 그 중 디지털도서관 성격으로 구분된 10개의 지표에 대하여 그 실용성을 검증하였다.

초임계 이산화탄소를 이용하여 제조한 Poly(lactic acid) 발포체의 특성 분석 (Characterization of Poly(lactic acid) Foams Prepared with Supercritical Carbon Dioxide)

  • 반응 컴파운딩으로 개질한 poly(lactic acid)를 초임계 $CO_2(scCO_2)$를 사용하여 발포하였다. 발포는 $105{\sim}135^{\circ}C$와 12~24 MPa 범위에서 실시하였다. 발포체의 발포 배율과 셀 구조는 온도, 압력 및 감압 속도와 같은 발포 조건에 크게 영향을 받았다. 발포 온도와 포화 압력 증가에 따라서 발포 배율은 증가하다가 감소하였으며, 그 결과로 $120^{\circ}C$ 발포 온도 및 20 MPa 포화 압력에서 최대 발포 배율이 얻어졌다. 감압 속도가 느린 경우에는 셀이 장시간 동안 팽창함으로써 보다 큰 셀 구조를 가지는 발포체가 얻어졌다.

A frequency tracking semi-active algorithm for control of edgewise vibrations in wind turbine blades

  • With the increased size and flexibility of the tower and blades, structural vibrations are becoming a limiting factor towards the design of even larger and more powerful wind turbines. Research into the use of vibration mitigation devices in the turbine tower has been carried out but the use of dampers in the blades has yet to be investigated in detail. Mitigating vibrations will increase the design life and hence economic viability of the turbine blades and allow for continual operation with decreased downtime. The aim of this paper is to investigate the effectiveness of Semi-Active Tuned Mass Dampers (STMDs) in reducing the edgewise vibrations in the turbine blades. A frequency tracking algorithm based on the Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) technique is used to tune the damper. A theoretical model has been developed to capture the dynamic behaviour of the blades including the coupling with the tower to accurately model the dynamics of the entire turbine structure. The resulting model consists of time dependent equations of motion and negative damping terms due to the coupling present in the system. The performances of the STMDs based vibration controller have been tested under different loading and operating conditions. Numerical analysis has shown that variation in certain parameters of the system, along with the time varying nature of the system matrices has led to the need for STMDs to allow for real-time tuning to the resonant frequencies of the system.

Use of Wing Feather Loss to Examine Age-Related Molt in Oriental Storks (Ciconia boyciana)

  • Reproduction and molt are costly processes in avian life histories. These two fitness-related traits are expected to be under one of physiological trade-offs. Age-related molt is known to be higher in young birds than that in adults presumably due to the cost of reproduction in adults. The present study partially replicated a previous study using a non-invasive method of seasonal wing feather loss instead of capture-inspection for molting progress in oriental storks (Ciconia boyciana). We first examined characteristics of the known six wing feather types (i.e., primaries [P], primary coverts [PC], secondaries [S], secondary coverts [SC], and tertials [T]) from two specimens with four wings. Results were utilized as references for further investigation. We then collected a total of 3,807 wing feathers shedded by 61 captive storks for one year and classified them into six wing feather types based on the reference with structures of vane (i.e., how asymmetrical) and calamus (i.e., how rigidly attached to skin) of wing feathers. Our results indicated that annual losses of all six-type wing feathers decreased with increasing ages, ranging from 29% to 58% for PC, alula, SC, P, S, and T in order. Our results were also comparable to those of a former study, suggesting that the pattern of age-specific molt might be associated with the cost of reproduction in adults. However, juveniles might shed more wing feathers with low quality formed during the previous development stage than older birds.

기후변화에 대한 풍속과 일조시간의 콘크리트 염화물확산 저항성의 성능중심평가 (Performance Based Evaluation of Concrete Chloride Diffusion Resistance from Wind Speed-Sunlight Exposure Time Curing Conditions of Climate Change)

  • 최근 국내의 경우 폭염, 폭우, 한파, 폭설, 태풍과 같은 기후변화가 심각하게 발생하고 있다. 이러한 극심한 기후변화로 인하여 건설현장에서 구조물의 공사 진행기간이 연장되어 그로 인한 경제적 손실을 초래하고, 기후변화를 고려하지 못한 상황에서 무리한 시공을 하여 콘크리트의 품질저하로 인해 부실시공의 원인이 되고 있는 실정이며 이로 인하여 인명피해와 재산피해도 발생한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하고 기후변화 대응책을 마련하기 위하여 콘크리트 구조물에 영향을 미치는 다양한 기후인자들 중 가장 중요한 풍속과 일조시간 경화조건을 선정하여 콘크리트 구조물의 양생과 내구성 영향을 검토해 보았다. 또한 실험결과를 분석하는 방법으로는 만족도 곡선 작성방법을 사용하여 콘크리트 강도와 내구성능에 관한 성능중심형평가(PBE: Performance Based Evaluation)절차를 제시하고 하고자 한다.
