Background: The goal of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the prognosis of minimal invasive horizontal ridge augmentation (MIHRA) technique using small incision and subperiosteal tunneling technique. Methods: This study targeted 25 partially edentulous patients (10 males and 15 females, mean age $48.8{\pm19.7years$) who needed bone graft for installation of the implants due to alveolar bone deficiency. The patients took the radiographic exam, panoramic and periapical view at first visit, and had implant fixture installation surgery. All patients received immediate or delayed implant surgery with bone graft using U-shaped incision and tunneling technique. After an average of 2.8 months, the prosthesis was connected and functioned. The clinical prognosis was recorded by observation of the peri-implant tissue at every visit. A year after restoration, the crestal bone loss around the implant was measured by taking the follow-up radiographs. One patient took 3D-CT before bone graft, after bone graft, and 2 years after restoration to compare and analyze change of alveolar bone width. Results: This study included 25 patients and 39 implants. Thirty eight implants (97.4 %) survived. As for postoperative complications, five patients showed minor infection symptoms, like swelling and tenderness after bone graft. The other one had buccal fenestration, and secondary bone graft was done by the same technique. No complications related with bone graft were found except in these patients. The mean crestal bone loss around the implants was 0.03 mm 1 year after restoration, and this was an adequate clinical prognosis. A patient took 3D-CT after bone graft, and the width of alveolar bone increased 4.32 mm added to 4.6 mm of former alveolar bone width. Two years after bone graft, the width of alveolar bone was 8.13 mm, and this suggested that the resorption rate of bone graft material was 18.29 % during 2 years. Conclusions: The bone graft material retained within a pouch formed using U-shaped incision and tunneling technique resulted with a few complications, and the prognosis of the implants placed above the alveolar bone was adequate.
Dodaecheon is a small river flowing into Asan Bay which is located in the middle part of the West Coast of the Korean Penninsula. We have investigated the change of depositional environment in Dodaecheon river basin during the middle Holocene. In the course of the research, the methods such as boring, radiocarbon dating, diatom and pollen analysis were employed. The Holocene deposits of the studied area are consisted of peat and gray silt layers, and contain many plooen and diatom fossils. Based on the results of diatom and pollen analysis, we conclude that the gray silt layers were sedimented owing to the transgression in the middle Holocene, and the peat layers by the regression or stabilzation of the sea level. The shoreline in the Post Glacial Age reached to the rivemouth of Dodaecheon at ca. 7,000 years before present(y. BP) and at that time the high tide sea-level(mean high water level of spring tide) rose to ca. 3m above present mean sea-level(m.a.s.l.). Since then to ca. 6,000y. BP, the high tide sea-level arrived to ca. 5m above present mean sea level further repeating minor transgressions and regressions. The peat layers of the coastal lowland of the West Coast were formed by the sea level fluctuations from 7,000 y. BP to 3,000 y. BP, and they were distributed 2 to 6 meters higher than the mean sea level of the present day. Most of them sedimented due to the high tide level are older and higher than those of the East Coast which were formed at the swale in the low tidal range environment.

Sialolithiasis is the formation of calcific concretions within the ductal system of major or minor salivary glands. The submandibular gland is most involved because of its high viscosity of the saliva and the long, curved duct. It may occur at any age but, it is most common in middle-aged adults and rare in childhood. Clinical symptoms in sialolithiasis are variable but, swelling is the most common, followed by the pain. Clinical examination and radiographic examination(panoramic and mandibular occlusal radiographs, sialography, intraoral-, extraoral- ultrasound, CT scan, MRI and sialoendoscopy) can help to confirm a diagnosis and localize a stone. The treatment is surgical intervention, either removal of the sialolith or sialoadenectomy. However, non-invasive techniques including shock-wave lithotripsy, $CO_2$ laser and endoscopic treatment used in selected cases. A 5-Year-old girl referred from private practice for evaluation of a yellowish mass on the floor of the mouth. She complained that it had became three times bigger than four months ago when it was found for the first time and she had some pain on submandibular gland area occasionally. On physical examination, a firm and yellowish mass could be seen at the orifice of the submandibular duct. Diagnosis is the submandibular sialolithiasis in the anterior Wharton`s duct. Under local anesthesia, stone was removed.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between adolesccents' cybersexual addiction and psychosocial traits. In addition, the relationship between cybersexual addiction and mental health were examined. For the study, 1,742 students attending middle schools and high schools were surveyed. According to the results of study, first, 1.3% of the adolescents reported the severe degree of cybersexual addiction, 2.3% of them had the moderate degree of addiction, 4.2% of them showed the minor degree. The result indicated that 7.8% of entire adolescents had cybersexual addiction. Second, middle school students showed the highest rate of cybersexual addiction and the students attending general high schools reported the lowest rate. Third, the following groups were likely to have the higher levels of cybersexual addiction; students who were males, had low self-control and less emotional support from the family and friends, and whose parents had marital problems. Fourth, the cybersexually addicted adolescents had experienced more psychological symptoms than general internet users had. Fifth, there was the positive relationship between cybersexual addition and psychological symptoms among adolescents. In particular, cybersexual addiction had the most serious effect on phobic anxiety. Finally, T-score measuring the degree of psychopathological symptoms had the positive relationship with the level of cybersexual addiction among adolescents. Moreover, adolescents who had clinical psychopathology and T-score over 70 showed the various rates from 10.9% to 45.2% in the 9 domains of symptoms.

To examine the new practical utilization of mucilages in Opuntia humifusa, polysaccharides were isolated from O. humifusa and their anti-metastatic activity and structural analysis were carried out. In experimental lung metastasis of B16BL6 melanoma cells, prophylactically intravenous (i.v.) administration of the crude polysaccharide (CNC-0) from O. humifusa significantly inhibited lung metastasis in a dose-dependant manner. The main polysaccharide, CNC-Ia was purified to homogeneity from CNC-0 by two successive column chromatographies using DEAE-Sepharose FF and Sephadex G-100 and its structure was characterized. Molecular mass of CNC-Ia was estimated to be 700 kDa and it mainly consisted of arabinose, galactose and xylose in addition to two minor sugars such as rhamnose and fucose. Methylation analysis indicated that CNC-Ia comprised at least 18 different glycosyl linkages such as terminal Araf, 5-linked Araf, 4-linked Galp and terminal Xylp in addition to three characteristic linkages such as full branched Araf, 3,4,6-branched Galp and full branched Galp. To analyze the fine structure of CNC-Ia, it was sequentially digested by exo-${\alpha}$-L-arabinofuranosidase and endo-${\beta}$-1,4-D-galactanase. These analyses suggested that CNC-Ia belongs to be a highly branched Type I arabinogalactan which has a ($1{\rightarrow}4$)-${\beta}$-galactan backbone with arabinosyl oligosaccharide side chains.
Pyrochlore is known as one of the most promising materials for the immobilization of radionuclide in high level waste. This study included the synthesis, phase relation and characteristics of $pyrochlore(CaCeZr_xTi_{2-x}O_{7,\;x=0.2\~2.0)$ in the system of Ca-Ce-Zr-Ti-O. Using the CPS(Cold pressing and sintering) method, the mixtures of $CaCO3_,\;CeO_2,\;ZrO_2\;and\;TiO_2$ oxides were pressed, and sintered at $1100\~1600^{\circ}C$ for 20 hours. The optimal synthetic conditions at various compositions were differed from 1300 to $1600^{\circ}C$ Even in the optimal temperatures, pyrochlore or fluorite coexisted with minor amount of perovskite, $CeO_2\;or\;Ce_{0.75}Zr_{0.25}O_2$. It was confirmed that pyrochlore and fluorite structures were stable at $x\leq0.6\;and\;x\geq1.0$, respectively. Especially, the compositions of pyrochlore or fluorite showed non-stoichiometric compositions in that contents of Ca and Ti were more deficient and those of Zr and Ce were more excess than batch compositions with the increase of x value. These characteristics stemmed from the behavior of elements occupied at eight- and six-coordinated site, and then caused the coexistence of perovskite, $CeO_2\;or\;Ce_{0.75}Zr_{0.25}O_2$ along with pyrochlore or fluorite.

The Ohto and Tohyun copper mine which are located 4 km southeast of Euiseong, Gyeongsangbukdo, Republic of Korea show various common geologic and mineralogic features. Both copper deposits are of hydrothermal-vein types, and associated with fracture system developed during formation of the Geumseong-san caldera in late Cretaceous age. According to structures and mineral assemblages, the mineralization processes have progressed in four stages: three hypogene mineralization stages and one supergene stage. Three hypogene stages are 1) stage I forming $N5{\sim}20^{\circ}E$ veins in the Ohto mine, 2) stage II building $N5^{\circ}W{\sim}N5^{\circ}E$ veins in the Tohyun mine, and 3) stage ill bringing $N80^{\circ}E$ veins which crosscut veins of the stage II. The vein ores consist mainly of pyrite, arsenopyrite, galena and chalcopyrite, minor or trace amounts of magnetite, hematite, pyrrhotite, stannite, bournonite, boulangerite, stibnite, galenobismutite, native bismuth, marcasite, geothite and malachite. The main gangue minerals are quartz and calcite. Wallrock is altered by sericitization, chloritization, pyritization, carbonitization and argillization. Arsenic and copper contents in arsenopyrite increase from stage I to stage III (from 31.28 to 33043 atom.% As) and (from 0.04 to 0040 atom.% Co). Going from stage I to stage III Fe and Mn contents in sphalerite decreases from 12.56 to 0.44 wt.% and from 0.24 to 0.01 wt.%, respectively. The compositional data of arsenopyrite in the early stage I indicate a temperature of $420{\sim}365^{\circ}C$ and sulfur fugacity of $10^{-6.5}{\sim}10^{-8.3}$ atm. Chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite assemblage suggest that Middle stage I was deposited at below $334^{\circ}C$. The compositional data of arsenopyrite in early stage II suggest a temperature range of $425{\sim}390^{\circ}C$ and sulfur fugacity codition of $10^{-6.4}{\sim}10^{-7.3}$ atm. Based on fluid inclusion the Middle stage II was regarded as to be deposited at $420{\sim}337^{\circ}C$ (Chi et al., 1989). Referring composition of sphalerite and stannite middle-late stage II seem to be deposited around $246^{\circ}C$ and $10^{-16.5}$ atm. sulfur fugacity. The ${\delta}^{34}S$ values of sulfide minerals in the Stage I, II, III range from 4.9 to 7.6%0 and indicate igneous ore fluid origin. Based on differences in mineral assemblages, chemical composition and chemical environments of Ohto and Tohyun mine its mineralization are considered to be formed at diffent mineralization ages and by different ore fluids.
Oxidations of cyclopentene and of 1-pentene with air have been studied on a V/Mo/P/Al/Ti-mixed oxide catalyst in a fixed bed integral reactor. At high levels of conversion maleic anhydride was in each case produced as the major organic product, along with minor amounts of phthalic anhydride and, only starting from 1-pentene, also of citraconic anhydride. At lower levels of conversion a total of 30 organic products have been identified, some of which may be intermediates on the way from the substrates to the three anhydrides mentioned above. Based on the dependence of selectivities of the organic products on conversion, reaction schemes for the formation of maleic anhydride, phthalic anhydride and citraconic anhydride have been proposed. Oxidation at $310^{\circ}C$ led to increasing conversions and selectivities for maleic anhydride with decreasing space velocities. The highest selectivities for maleic anhydride were obtained at conversion of ca. 100%. Oxidation at a constant space velocity of $2{\cdot}10^4h^{-1}$ led to increasing conversions with increasing temperatures in the range of $300^{\circ}C{\sim}420^{\circ}C$, while the selectivity for maleic anhydride passed through a maximum value of ca. 39% at $370^{\circ}C$ in the oxidation of cyclopentene and a maximum value of ca. 30% at $400^{\circ}C$ in the oxidation of 1-pentene.
Some minor Korean beans including red bean, mung bean and kidney bean were subjected to proximate analysis, fractionation by the solubility method and polyacrylamide gel disc electrophoresis of proteins to obtain the following results. 1) Proximate composition of the beans showed that fat content was less than 1%, carbohydrate was about 60% and protein content was in the range of $20{\sim}25%$. 2) Total globulin content of the proteins was $46{\sim}59%$, a little lower than in soybean, in the order of mung bean> kidney bean> red bean. Albumin content was comparable in kidney bean, and lower in red bean and mung bean as compared with that in soybean. Glutelin content was relatively higher, being in the range of $10{\sim}19%$ and in the order of red bean> mung bean> kidney bean. 3) According to the electrophoretic pattern, total protein fractions extracted with pH 7.6 buffer from red bean, mung bean and kidney bean showed 9.12 and 11 bands, respectively, whereas those extracted with pH 4.8 buffer showed 13, 13 and 12 bands, respectively. Water extracts of red bean, mung bean and kidney bean showed 10, 8 and 9 bands, respectively, while albumin fractions showed 8, 9 and 7 bands and globulin fractions, 4 bands in all of three beans. The band having a Rm value of $0.5{\sim}0.7$ in the globulin fraction from three beans was not observed in the water extract and appears to be specific to water insoluble globulin.

This study was to investigate 90-day repeated-dose toxicities of 50 kGy irradiated methanol extract powder of red ginseng in ICR mice. The test materials (methanol extract powder of red ginseng with or without 50 kGy irradiation) were administered by gavage to male and female ICR mice at dose levels of 0, 125, 250 and 500 mg/kg/day for 90 days. In the results, no abnormality was observed in mortality, clinical findings, body weight changes, food consumptions, opthalmoscopic findings, necropsy findings and histopathological findings. Although the minor changes in blood and biochemical parameters were observed, they were not dose dependent and not affected by gamma irradiation. In conclusion, 90-day repeated oral dose of the methanol extract powder of red ginseng and 50 kGy irradiated methanol extract powder of red ginseng to ICR mice did not cause apparent toxicological change at the dose of 125, 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight.
