  • 본고에서는 최근에 IMO에서 시행될 VDR(Voyage Data Recorder)에 대해 분석하고 특히 통신설비와 결합된 부양형 S-VDR(Simplified -Voyage Data Recoder)에 대한 통신 기술적 측면에 대해서 기술하였다. 이 장비에 결합된 통신 기술은 기존 EPIRB(Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) 기술을 S-VDR과 결합한 것으로 통신적인 측면에서 기술적인 변화는 없다. VDR의 경우에도 기능을 단순화하여 경제적인 항행장비인 S-VDR로 변화되었으나 기술적인 측면의 변화는 없다. 부양형 S-VDR은 통신 기능을 포함하고 있으므로 통신설비이며 기존익 조난 구조를 위한 EPIRB를 대신할 수 없다. 그러므로 본고에서는 부양형 S-VDR에 대한 국제 표준화기구(IMO, IEC, ITU, COSPAS-SARSAT 등)의 관련 자료를 분석하고 사용 범위 및 용도 등을 명확히 정리했으며 이 결과가 해상통신 관련 규정에 반영되도록 제안하였다.

  • This paper has been studied about design of linear 25Watt Power amplifier for VDR(VHF Data Radio). VDR's frequency band is 117.975~137MHz, and CSMA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access), D8PSK(Differential Eight Phase Shift Keyed), 25KHz's channel bandwidth use. It also stated in DO-281A MOPS output power, symbol constellation error, spurious emissions, adjacent channel power must be met. HPA is designed to meet DO-281A standard.

  • For the purpose of technological analysis in the marine accidents and their prevention, IMO have made it obligatory to load VDR which is similar to the black box in aircraft. However, in case of body sinkage, capsizing, stranding and plunging which are almost 10% of marine accidents, it is difficult to take out the necessary data from the VDR in order to analyze the cause of them. Therefore, this paper apply the navigation dangerousness evaluation technology to the VDR to improve its performance. And we suggest that the vertical acceleration which is one of the factors for evaluating seakeeping performance of a ship is to be added in the existing VDR record data recommended by IMO.

Vitamin D Receptor Gene TaqI, BsmI and FokI Polymorphisms in Korean Patients with Tuberculosis

  • Background: The active metabolite (1, 25- dihydroxycholecalciferol) of vitamin D (25-hydroxycholecalciferol) leads to activation of macrophages and deficiency of vitamin D seems to be involved in the risk of tuberculosis. The effects of vitamin D are exerted by interaction with the vitamin D receptor (VDR) and may be influenced by polymorphism in the VDR gene. In this study, variation in the VDR gene was investigated in Korean population with tuberculosis. Methods: We typed three VDR polymorphisms of restriction endonuclease sites for TaqI, BsmI and FokI in 155 patients with tuberculosis and 105 healthy volunteers. Results: The frequencies of FokI genotypes determined from TB patients were 29.13% for FF, 56.31% for Ff, and 14.56% for ff. We observed 1.4-fold increased prevalence of the Ff genotype in TB patients compared with normal healthy groups (p=0.0857). However, there was no significant association between the genotype groups, TB patient and normal control, for FokI polymorphism. There was also no significant association between VDR gene and tuberculosis in another polymorphism (BsmI and TaqI). Conclusion: Three polymorphisms (TaqI, BsmI and FokI) in the VDR gene do not appear to be responsible for host susceptibility to human tuberculosis in Korean population.

  • VDR은 IMO의 협약에 따라 요구되는 모든 선박의 데이터를 기록하는 장비이다. 2002년 7월 1일 이후 건조되는여객선과 3,000톤 이상의 여객선을 제외한 모든 선박을 VDR를 탑재하여야 한다. 이것은 항공기의 블랙박스와 같이 사고조사를 가능하게 한다. 이 논문에서는 VDR을 이용한 선박의 거동 특성에 대하여 실선 M/S WS 선박을 대상으로 실시하기로 한다. 이 선박은 2014년 1월 여천에 있는 GS 칼텍스 터미널 부두와 충돌하여 상당량의 기름을 유출시킨 바 있다. 이 논문에서는 어느 쪽 타각을 더 많이 사용하였는지를 알기 위하기 위하여 타각면적을 도입하였다 그 외에 평균 선수방위, 평균속력, 평균 rpm 등을 사용하였다. 이 결과 이 선박은 우현타각을 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났고 이것은 이 선박이 좌선회하는 경향이 있음을 확인할 수 있다.

  • This paper, describes the VDR physical layer design in VDL Mode-2 in order to meet the requirements of International standards. VDR's frequency band is 117.975~137MHz, and CSMA(Carrier Sense Multiple Access), D8PSK(Differential Eight Phase Shift Keyed), 25KHz's channel bandwidth use. The analysis of the isolated channel from near channels, sensitivity of the receiver, dynamic range of the receiver, linear of the transmitter and energy of spurious for linear and non-linear simulation as a requirement condition of performance of VDR and teaches the course of design. The transmitting power level should be lower than 5dB from Po1dB point and the selected IF frequency is 45MHz to suppress the spurious signals. The receiver designed has 4.5dB of Noise figure, 27.52dB of Es/No, Mixer isolation up to 30dB, IIP3 power of LNA up to +10dBm to minimize the intermodulation.

  • The voyage data is very important for safety of ships, and duty being effectuated by the installation of voyage data record (VDR) on ships. VDR is a black-box, and it contains 14 kinds of voyage data as text. But it is not easy to understand when the accident happened because voyage data is saved as complicated texts. User interface (UI), analysis, visualization system, which works for assist to gather information about situation of accident, was developed. It will be possible to develop onboard ship monitoring and voyage prediction system by the VDR visualization system's development in near future.

  • 과거 해양사고분석은 해양사고관련자의 증언이나 해도, 갑판로그북 등 해양사고관련자가 직접 작성한 서류 및 선교에서 기록되는 기관사용 기록 및 침로 기록 등 일부 자료만을 이용하여 분석하였다. 근래 VTS 항행기록 및 VDR 탑재가 강제화 되면서 더 많은 판단자료가 제공되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 FMSS를 이용하여 해양사고의 분석을 더 효율적으로 수행하는 방법을 제시하고 과거의 충돌사고를 이러한 방법으로 분석하였다. 해양사고의 효율적인 분석을 통하여 해양사고 저감방안을 수립하는데 유용한 수단이 될 것이다.

Retrospective Cohort Study on Genetic Susceptibility of Lead Exposure using Stored Blood in Specimen Bank-Focused Newly employed workers (시료보관은행에 저장된 혈액을 이용한 납 노출의 유전적 감수성에 관한 후향성 코호트 조사 연구 - 입사 1년차 대상자 연구)

  • Genotype of ALAD and VDR yields two alleles, respectively and it has been implicated in susceptibility to lead toxicity. Also genotype known to variety by race. To evaluate the genetic susceptibility of ALAD and VDR gene on health effect of lead exposure, this study was done with new workers who entered lead industries from 1992 to 2001. Among database of lead industries of Soonchunhyang University Institute of Industrial Medicine, only new workers were selected for this study. The total of eligible workers for this category was 3,540 workers including non lead exposed workers of same lead industries. Genotype of ALAD and VDR were measured from stored blood in specimen bank of Soonchunhyang University, blood lead and other relevant information were obtained from database of each workers which were gathered at their first year of employment. Among 3,540 new employed study subjects during period of 1992-2001, 3204 workers(90.5%) had ALAD genotype 1-1; whereas 336 workers(9.5%) had variant type of ALAD (1-2 or 2-2). Lead exposed workers, 9.8%(n=243) male and 8.1%(n=16) female were heterozygous for the ALAD allele. Also non lead exposed workers, 8.9%(n=67) male and 9.3%(n=10) female were heterozygous for the ALAD allele. For VDR genotype, 2,903 workers(89.7%) out of total tested 3,238 workers were belonged to type bb and 335 workers(10.3%) were type bB or BB. Lead exposed workers, 10.4%(n=235) male and 12.2%(n=24) female were heterozygous for the VDR allele. Also non lead exposed workers, 9.2%(n=64) male and 12.5%(n=12) female were heterozygous for the VDR allele. No significant differences were seen in mean blood lead levels by ALAD and VDR genotype, nor was significantly associated with blood lead except age in multiple regression analysis.
