In this paper, the design and simulation results of IF frequency synthesizer section has been described. We has been used 0.8 $\mu\textrm{m}$ BiCMOS device and library of the AMS. IF frequency synthesizer section has been contained IF VCO, Phase Detector, Divide_by_8, Charge Pump and Loop Filter. IF frequency synthesizer has been shown operating voltage of 2.7~3.6 V, control voltage of 0.5~2.7 V and supply current of 11 mA. The measured results have been showed good agreement with the simulation results about supply current.
From the VI images of M13, obtained by using 2K CCD camera and the BOAO 1.8m telescope, we derive the(V - I) - V CMD of M13. From the shapes of red giant branch, the magnitude of horizontal branch, and the giant branch bump on the constructed CMD, we determined the metallicity of the globular cluster to be 1.74${\lesssim}$[Fe/H]${\lesssim}$-1.41. The good agreement between our determination of [Fe/H] and those determined by using other methods implies that the morphology of red giant and horizontal branches on (V - I) - V CMD's can be good indirect metallicity indicators of Galactic globular clusters.
Production of haploids in vitro anther culture of Nicotiana tabacum L. was oriented in a large number on a chemically defined culture medium. The haploids were screened for T.M.V. resistance and the segregating ratio in F$_1$ were in good agreement with the expected ratio.
Upon melting, a part of ethylene-chloride molecules in trans-form in the solid state changes into gauche-form. The partition function for the material was developed according to the significant structure theory of liquid proposed by H. Eyring and his co-workers, and the parameters $E_s$, ${\theta}$, $V_s$, and a, therein, are determined by the manner developed by Chang, et al. The molar volume, vapor pressure, vaporization entropy, critical point properties and surface tension of the liquid were calculated. The results are in good agreement with experimental values.
Liquid metal-cooled reactors use various passive safety systems driven by natural circulation. Investigating these safety systems experimentally is more advantageous by using a simulant. Although numerous experimental approaches have been applied to natural circulation-driven passive safety systems using simulants, there has been no clear validation of the similarity law. To validate the similarity law experimentally, SINCRO-V experiment was conducted using Wood's metal and water for simulant of the Wood's metal. A pair of SINCRO-V facilities with length-scale ratio of 14.1:1 for identical Bo' was investigated, which was the main similarity parameter in temperature field simulation. In the experimental range of 0.2-1.0% of decay heat, the temperature distribution characteristics of the small water facility were very similar to that of the large Wood's metal facility. The temperature of the Wood's metal predicted by the water experiment showed good agreement with the actual Wood's metal temperature. Despite some error factors like discordance of Gr' and property change along the temperature, the water experiment predicted the Wood's metal temperature with an error of 27%. The validity of the similarity law was confirmed by the SINCRO-V experiments.
This paper, we proposed the theoretical model which includes series resistance $R_s$ and shunt resistance $R_{sh}$ of single-crystalline PV module and used numerical method based on physics. Series resistance $R_s$ was derived from approach for p-n junction diode instead of established form obtained from the simulator with irradiance changes. Electrical output characteristics for PV modules to count the effect of $R_s$ were then studied. Finally simulation results were compared to experimental data leading to good agreement.
A density functional theory method with the local basis set was employed to perform slab calculations to study thiolate-induced surface reconstruction structures of butylthiolates (ButS) with c($4{\times}2$) superlattice of the Au(111) surface. The slab calculations indicate that the most stable adsorption structure is the ButS-Au (adatom)-SBut complex form, which is in good agreement with the reported experiments and theoretical results for thiolates with shorter alkyl chains. The cis form of ButS-Au (adatom)-SBut motifs is preferred by 0.11 eV with respect to the trans form, and by 0.15 eV over the mixed cis-trans configurations due to the steric hindrance between adjacent butyl groups. It appears that the motif of Au adatom on the Au(111) surface is favored even for butylthiolate.

Objective: This study investigated the feasibility and prognostic relevance of threshold-based quantification of myocardial delayed enhancement (MDE) on CT in patients with nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (NIDCM). Materials and Methods: Forty-three patients with NIDCM (59.3 ± 17.1 years; 21 male) were included in the study and underwent cardiac CT and MRI. MDE was quantified manually and with a threshold-based quantification method using cutoffs of 2, 3, and 4 standard deviations (SDs) on three sets of CT images (100 kVp, 120 kVp, and 70 keV). Interobserver agreement in MDE quantification was assessed using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Agreement between CT and MRI was evaluated using the Bland-Altman method and the concordance correlation coefficient (CCC). Patients were followed up for the subsequent occurrence of the primary composite outcome, including cardiac death, heart transplantation, heart failure hospitalization, or appropriate use of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate event-free survival according to MDE levels. Results: Late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) was observed in 29 patients (67%, 29/43), and the mean LGE found with the 5-SD threshold was 4.1% ± 3.6%. The 4-SD threshold on 70-keV CT showed excellent interobserver agreement (ICC = 0.810) and the highest concordance with MRI (CCC = 0.803). This method also yielded the smallest bias with the narrowest range of 95% limits of agreement compared to MRI (bias, -0.119%; 95% limits of agreement, -4.216% to 3.978%). During a median follow-up of 1625 days (interquartile range, 712-1430 days), 10 patients (23%, 10/43) experienced the primary composite outcome. Event-free survival significantly differed between risk subgroups divided by the optimal MDE cutoff of 4.3% (log-rank P = 0.005). Conclusion: The 4-SD threshold on 70-keV monochromatic CT yielded results comparable to those of MRI for quantifying MDE as a marker of myocardial fibrosis, which showed prognostic value in patients with NIDCM.
Coastal states are adopting maritime boundary delimitation as their primary maritime policy because maritime jurisdiction directly relates to vast economic interest. This becomes specially important and sensitive when complex maritime boundary issues are involved between neighboring coastal states. China has not actively carried out nor declared maritime boundary delimitation until recently with any country except Agreement between China and Viet Nam on the demarcation of the territorial water, the exclusive economic zones and the continental shelf of China and Vet Nam in the Gulf of Tonkin on 25 December 2000 (hereinafter, the Gulf of Tonkin Agreement). The principles that governs maritime boundary delimitation are to consider primarily an agreement between States concerned, however, if no agreement can be reached, all relevant circumstances are considered to achieve an equity between concerned States. Relevant circumstances are length of coastline, form of coastline, existence and position of island or islands, speciality of geology/topography, and factor of economy and deffnce. Factors which sinologists are considering in regard to continental shelf delimitation of the Yellow Sea are as follows; i) geographical factor, ii) geological factor, iii) topographical factor, iv) environment and ecological (factor, v) historic interest, and vi) social and economic interest. The 'Gulf of Tonkin Agreement' is completed by basically applying the principle of delimitation according to median line which seems that China has adopted the maritime boundary delimitation principle of 'half and half' which was the intention of chinese government. At the same time, China recognized Viet Nam's dominion and sovereign right over the partial exclusive economic zone and the continental shelf of Dao Bach Long Vi in Gulf of Tonkin. This case can be considered as an example of mutual concession or compromise in delimiting maritime boundary for states of concerned.

We have investigated the electrical properties of Ru/Ni/n-GaN Schottky structure using current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurements at room temperature. The barrier height (${\Phi}_{bo}$) and ideality factor (n) of Ru/Ni/n-GaN Schottky structure are found to be 0.66 eV and 1.44, respectively. The ${\Phi}_{bo}$ and the series resistance ($R_S$) obtained from Cheung's method are compared with modified Norde's method, and it is seen that there is a good agreement with each other. The energy distribution of interface state density ($N_{SS}$) is determined from the I-V measurements by taking into account the bias dependence of the effective barrier height. Further, the interface state density $N_{SS}$ as determined by Terman's method is found to be $2.14{\times}10^{12}\;cm^{-2}\;eV^{-1}$ for the Ru/Ni/n-GaN diode. Results show that the interface state density and series resistance has a significant effect on the electrical characteristics of studied diode.
