  • This research concentrates on presenting a more reasonable and engineering tunnel interpretation method with the numerical value observation data using the Hoek-Brown Model that uses mining observation data gained during construction, and the experience material constant of m and s for Seoul Underground tunnel field, which was evaluated as RMR III and RMR IV for its bedrock ratings, and by modifying and complementing the properties of ground materials with the direct method, one method in back analysis, and by using the field measurement value.

  • Lately Construction industry depressed by hard construction market condition. So Construction company, especial at this time, make more rationalize the management of inside Company and Construction field. So in this study we are to present the method of calculation reasonable duration at Reinforced Concrete Work. For the study first make up a question at field workers, then sampling the Form workers based the question. Second, We are using Work Analysis Method analysing the worker's work-method and Time. And then using the result of analysis, measure the Productivity of Form work. The productivity of Form work is used the basic data of duration at Reinforced Concrete Work

  • Until now, strain gage technique and accelerometer for the diagnosis safety of constructions are used widely. However, the limits of these methods are revealed. But Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry(ESPI) that uses Pulse Laser is noncontact, whole-field, real-time measuring method also dull to disturbance and can achieve test result in a very short time. It has various strong point in spot application, swift establishment, and dynamic conduct analysis for the entire field of Laser illuminate. This author analyzed vibration characteristic of using the Pulse ESPI System, the diagnosis safety of bridges, to simplify the analysis of the dynamic conduct of a large construction.

Development of indirect EFBEM for radiating noise analysis including underwater problems

  • For the analysis of radiating noise problems in medium-to-high frequency ranges, the Energy Flow Boundary Element Method (EFBEM) was developed. EFBEM is the analysis technique that applies the Boundary Element Method (BEM) to Energy Flow Analysis (EFA). The fundamental solutions representing spherical wave property for radiating noise problems in open field and considering the free surface effect in underwater are developed. Also the directivity factor is developed to express wave's directivity patterns in medium-to-high frequency ranges. Indirect EFBEM by using fundamental solutions and fictitious source was applied to open field and underwater noise problems successfully. Through numerical applications, the acoustic energy density distributions due to vibration of a simple plate model and a sphere model were compared with those of commercial code, and the comparison showed good agreement in the level and pattern of the energy density distributions.

인발응력을 고려한 다단 형상인발 공정설계 (Process Design of Multi-pass Shape Drawing Considering the Drawing Stress)

  • In this study, a process design method for the multi-pass shape drawing is proposed with consideration of the drawing stress. First, the shape drawing load was calculated to evaluate the shape drawing stress, and the intermediate die shape was determined by using an electric field analysis and the average reduction ratio. In order to evaluate whether material yielding occurs at the die exit, the drawing stress was determined by using the calculated shape drawing load. Finally, FE-analysis and shape drawing experiments were conducted to validate the design of the multi-pass shape drawing process. From the results of the FE-analysis and shape drawing experiments, it was possible to produce a sound shape drawn product with the designed process. The dimensional tolerances of the product were within the allowable tolerances.

  • The value of $I_c$(critical current) in HTS (High Temperature Superconductor) tape has a great influence on $B{\bot}$ (vertical field). Therefore, in shape design of field coil for the HTSG(High Temperature Superconducting Generator), a method to reduce the $B{\bot}$ should be considered in order to maintain the stability and substantial improvement on the performance. On the basis of the magnetic field analysis, this paper deals with various field coil shape to obtain small $B{\bot}$ by using Biot-Savart's law and image method. Moreover the analysis is verified by comparison with experimental results. And also this paper presents the advanced model by using 3D FEM(3 Dimensional Finite Element Method), in which flux density at armature is calculated in 5kVA class HTSG.

  • In this study, seismic refraction survey and MASW at dam crest and down-hole test and cross hole test in the boring holes located in dam crest through the core are performed to fin out dynamic material properties, are needed to evaluate dynamic safety of rockfill dam using dynamic analysis method. From the field test and geophysical exploration, applied such as above, p-wave and s-wave velocity profile of each layer of dam body. Dynamic material properties, such as elastic modulus, shear modulus, poissong's ration, are obtained from p-wave and s-wave velocity profile and density profile from formation density logging test.

교량세굴 평가 기술매뉴얼 개발 (Development of Bridge Scour Manual)

  • The leading cause of bridge failures is scouring bed material from around bridge foundations. Many advanced countries such as U.S.A., U.K., the Netherlands and New Zealand have developed and revised their own bridge scour manuals fit for their field conditions. In Korea, researches for reducing bridge failures during floods have concentrated on analysis, laboratory test and countermeasure of bridge scour during the last ten years. however no comprehensive manual for evaluating bridge scour and for identifying the conditions of bridge foundations has been provided yet. In this study, a new bridge scour manual is developed for the accurate evaluation of bridge scour, which reflects domestic field conditions with various streambed materials. The SRICOS method and the Erodibility Index Method are suggested for fine-grained soils and weathered rocks, respectively. In addition, bridge scour analysis algorithms are developed for field engineers to estimate bridge scour depth and to evaluate the susceptibility of bridge scour with ease.

  • The present work describes the prediction method for the unsteady flow field and the acoustic pressure field of a ducted axial fan. The prediction method is comprised of time-marching free-wake method, acoustic analogy. and the Helmholtz-Kirchhoff BEM. The predicted sound signal of a rotor is similar to the experiment one. We assume that the rotor rotates with a constant angular velocity and the flow field around the rotor is incompressible and inviscid. Then, a time-marching free-wake method is used to model the fan and to calculate the flow field. The force of each element on the blade is calculated by the unsteady Bernoulli equation. Lawson's method is used to predict the acoustic source. The newly developed Helmholtz-Kirchhoff BEM for thin body is used to calculate the sound field of the ducted fan. The ducted fan with 6 blades is analysed and the sound field around the duct is calculated.

플라즈마 화학 기상 증착법을 이용한 탄소나노튜브의 성장 분석 및 전계방출 특성 (Field Emission Characteristics and Growth Analysis of Carbon Nanotubes by Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition)

  • Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) are grown by using Co catalyst metal. CNTs fabricated by PECVD(plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) method are studied in terms of surface reaction and surface structure by TEM and Raman analysing method and ate analysed in its electrical field emission characteristics with variation of space between anode and cathode. Acetylene(C$_2$H$_2$) gas is used as the carbon source, while ammonia and hydrogen gas are used as catalyst and dilution gas. The CNTs grown by hydrogen(H$_2$) gas plasma indicates better vortical alignment, lower temperature process, and longer tip, compared to that grown by ammonia(NH$_3$) gas plasma. The CNTs fabricated with Co(cobalt) catalyst metal and PECVD method show the multiwall structure in mid-circle type in tip-end and the inner vacancy of 10nm. Emission properties of CNTs indicate the turn-on field to be 2.6 V/${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ We suggest that CNTs can be possibly applied to the emitter tip of FEDs and high brightness flat lamp because of low temperature CNTs growth, low turn-on field.
