  • Contents of these treatise propose method to embody station addition and passivity point correction. That store in TCMS's memory being downloaded all train running path data that is consisted of name of station and station code, departure station, destination station, train number, running time through PCMCIA memory card. Search relevant running path data and current station, destination station, the next station start time present to TCMS's display. In case it is no received information of station, device that do function of passenger broadcasting and pilot light does not act. This time, if input information of current station, relevant device does point revision.

타행 시험을 이용한 고속열차 주행저항 평가 (Assessment of the Running Resistance of a High-speed Train Using a Coasting Test)

  • 차세대 한국형 고속열차(HEMU-430X)의 주행저항을 타행속도 380km/h에 이르는 고속 타행을 포함한 총 12회의 타행시험 결과를 이용하여 평가하였다. 선형회귀법과 시간적분법의 두 가지 방법을 이용하여 각각 시간-속도 곡선 및 시간-거리 곡선으로부터 가속도를 계산하였으며, 각각의 구간에서 계산된 가속도를 바탕으로 시험 속도 대역에서 근사화된 주행저항식이 도출되었다. 이를 통해 공기역학적 형상 개선에 의해 주행저항이 15% 정도 감소하였고, 터널 주행 시에는 개활지 주행 시에 비하여 약 28%의 주행저항이 증가하는 것으로 평가되었다.

Impacts of wind shielding effects of bridge tower on railway vehicle running performance

  • When railway vehicles run by towers of long span bridges, the railway vehicles might experience a sudden load-off and load-on phenomenon in crosswind conditions. To ensure the running safety of the railway vehicles and the running comfort of the passengers, some studies were carried out to investigate the impacts of sudden changes of aerodynamic loads on moving railway vehicles. In the present study, the aerodynamic coefficients which were measured in wind tunnel tests using a moving train model are converted into the aerodynamic coefficients in the actual scale. The three-component aerodynamic loads are calculated based on the aerodynamic coefficients with consideration of the vehicle movement. A three-dimensional railway vehicle model is set up using the multibody dynamic theory, and the aerodynamic loads are treated as the inputs of excitation varied with time for kinetic simulations of the railway vehicle. Thus the dynamic responses of the railway vehicle passing by the bridge tower can be obtained from the kinetic simulations in the time domain. The effects of the mean wind speeds and the rail track positions on the running performance of the railway vehicle are discussed. The three-component aerodynamic loads on the railway vehicle are found to experience significant sudden changes when the vehicle passes by the bridge tower. Correspondingly, such sudden changes of aerodynamic loads have a large impact on the dynamic performance of the running railway vehicle. The dynamic responses of the railway vehicle have great fluctuations and significant sudden changes, which is adverse to the running safety and comfort of the railway vehicle passing by the bridge tower in crosswind conditions.

Fast short length running FIR structure in discrete wavelet adaptive algorithm

  • An adaptive system is a well-known method for removing noise from noise-corrupted speech. In this paper, we perform a least mean square (LMS) based on wavelet adaptive algorithm. It establishes the faster convergence rate of as compared to time domain because of eigenvalue distribution width. And this paper provides the basic tool required for the FIR algorithm whose algorithm reduces the arithmetic complexity. We consider a new fast short-length running FIR structure in discrete wavelet adaptive algorithm. We compare FIR algorithm and short-length fast running FIR algorithm (SFIR) to the proposed fast short-length running FIR algorithm(FSFIR) for arithmetic complexities.

  • Like conventional railways, improving running performance of vehicle in curve is more effective than improving maximum speed to reduce traveling time. But some vehicles have problems concerning running performance in cure because of insufficient study for our conventional railway characteristics. So, these problems brought about increasement of maintenance cost. This study was started to deliberate several plans to solve problems concerning running performance in curve. Some modifications of primary suspension and tests were carried out to improve curve negotiation. Here, we describe some results.

3D 영상 시청시간 요인이 수용자 인식에 미치는 영향 (Influence of 3D Stereoscopic Video Running Time on Audience Perceptions)

  • 미디어 이용자는 미디어에 노출되는 순간 다양한 심리적 반응을 겪게 된다. 3DTV 콘텐츠 역시 미디어 이용자가 그것을 시청하면서 여러 가지 심리적 지각을 하게 되는데, 본 연구는 3D 영상의 시청 시간 변인에 따른 수용자 인식에 대하여 알아보았다. 즉 3DTV 음악 프로그램을 본 수용자들이 시청시간(20분 vs. 40분)에 따라 3D 영상의 긍정적 요소인 인지된 특성과 인상, 프레즌스, 즐거움과 부정적 요소인 피로도와 부자연스러움을 느끼는데 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 40명의 피험자를 대상으로 실험연구를 진행한 후, 연구문제를 해결하기 위해 다변량분석, 다변량공분산분석, 그리고 일원변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 인지된 특성에서는 집단 간 유의미한 차이는 발견되지 않았지만 근접감, 선명도, 메시지 전달력 등 하위 차원에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 그 중 메시지 전달력에서 가장 큰 차이를 보였다. 인상과 관련해서는 시청시간별로 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 없었으나 하위요인 중에서는 화려함과 창의감이 시청시간 변인에 따른 차이를 보였다. 프레즌스의 경우, 시청시간별로 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났고, 특히 하위차원인 시간관여에서 유의미한 차이가 가장 크게 나타났다. 즐거움에서는 시청시간 별로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 부정적 요소에서는 시청시간 별로 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 없었으나, 하위 차원인 부자연스러움에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

노인 러너의 신체특성과 하지관절의 생체역학적 비교 (Comparison of Physical Characteristics and Lower Extremity Biomechanics of Elderly and Young Adult Runners)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the physical characteristics (bone mineral density, joint muscle strength) and running biomechanics between older adults and young adult runners to understand the changes of running strategy by aging. Method: Bone mineral density (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry, USA) of lower lower extremity and muscle strength (Cybex Humac Norm [DEXA], CSMI, USA) were measured to identify the physical characteristics of 10 elderly (age: $67.70{\pm}3.30yrs$, height: $1.68{\pm}0.04m$, mass: $67.70{\pm}3.80kg$) and 10 young adults (age: $21.20{\pm}0.42yrs$, height: $1.73{\pm}0.06m$, mass: $72.11{\pm}4.15kg$). Running data was collected by using an instrumented treadmill (Bertec, USA) and 7 infrared cameras (Oqus 300, Qualisys, Sweden). Two-way repeated ANOVA analysis was used to analyze results at a significant level of .05 with Bonferroni post hoc analysis. Results: Compared to the young adult group, the elderly group showed statistically significant difference in physical characteristics and in running characteristics. Elderly runners showed lower BMD and muscle strength compared with young runners (p<.05). In the running parameters, elderly runners tend to show shorter contact time and stride length compared with young runners (p<.05). In the joint angles, elderly runners showed smaller range of ankle motion compared with young runners (p<.05). Finally, elderly runners showed lower level of joint moment, joint power, and GRF compared with young runners in each running speed (p<.05). Conclusion: The running behavior of the elderly performed periodic running was similar to many variables of young adults. However, there were noticeable differences found in the ankle joints and most kinetic variables compared with young adult runners. This discrepancy may propose that elderly runners should consider appropriate running distance and intensity in the program.

  • Generally, underwater vehicle type of propeller shows low efficiency about 50%-55%. However, the efficiency of swimming mechanism of a fish is 60%-70%, more efficient about 20% than screw propellers. Recently, research of underwater vehicle type of fish increase due to its good efficiency and is regarded as a typical bio-mimical robot. In this research, a new algorithm and mechanism that show low energy consumption imitating swimming mechanism of fish proposed increasing speed and running time in field trial.
