Royal jelly has been widely used as a health supplement worldwide. However, royal jelly has been implicated in allergic reactions, and we developed a water-soluble royal jelly (WSRJ) without the allergy inducing protein. In this study, we aimed to identify the anti-melanogenic efficacy of WSRJ. B16F1 melanoma cells were first treated with 10 nM α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) and then with various doses of WSRJ. In addition, we investigated the mRNA and protein expression of melanogenesis-related genes such as tyrosinase, tyrosinase related protein-1 (TRP-1) and TRP-2 by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and western blotting. WSRJ directly inhibited tyrosinase and cellular tyrosinase activity, which decreased melanin synthesis in α-MSH stimulated B16F1 melanoma cells a level comparable to that observed with arbutin. WSRJ decreased the mRNA and protein expressions of tyrosinase, TRP-1, and TRP-2, which was comparable to that observed with arbutin. WSRJ has strong anti-melanogenic activity, which invoice direct inhibition of tyrosinase enzyme activity and suppression of expression of melanogenesis related genes. Results from this study suggests that WSRJ is a potential candidate for the treatment of skin pigmentation.

Royal jelly composes of many components, especially protein. Protein is a major factor which cause allergy. We focused on water soluble royal jelly (WSRJ) that was removed allergy - inducing protein. 10-hyroxy-2-decenoic acid content of WSRJ is 2.42 g/100 g, which is double compared to that of lypophilized RJ. To further access WSRJ as a cosmetic ingredient and potential external treatment for topical use, we investigated its ability to inhibit tyrosinase activity and melanin biosynthesis on melanogenesis in B16F1 melanoma cells. We found that WSRJ increased the cell viability in B16F1 melanoma cell and WSRJ (1~10 mg/ml) inhibited melanin synthesis in with 10 nM ${\alpha}$-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (${\alpha}$-MSH) for 48 h. WSRJ inhibited direct tyrosinase activity, which decreased melanin synthesis in ${\alpha}$-MSH stimulated B16F1 melanoma cells. Thease findings suggest that WSRJ induces the down regulation of melanogenesis by inhibiting tyrosinase activation.

The cultural content industry can be stimulated by the production of content based on Korean traditional culture such as Korean court culture. At present, the use of royal costumes of various Korean dynasties for content creation is rare. Less than ten government-supported projects managed by the Korea Culture & Content Agency (KOCCA) are related with Korean royal costumes. Only a handful of tourism-related cultural products (e.g., souvenirs and theme parks) are related to this subject. Fortunately, there are many events that demonstrate traditional court ceremonies; however, there is a need for more investment in academic research to ensure accurate reproduction. There are a number of issue in utilizing traditional royal costumes to produce cultural content that include: a lack of understanding the importance of Korean royal costumes, discrepancies of the content produced based on the historical context, a lack of public knowledge or support, and the lack of the historical accuracy of reproduced content. In order to benefit the most from royal costumes, this article suggests recreating the costumes as a source for further content creation, the development of a database to store information by design features and itemized topics, along with the active support of the government.

This paper presented analysis on the perception by Korean restaurant employees of Korean royal cuisine. Classification using a subjective research method called Q methodology was performed on perceptions of Korean restaurant employees about Korean royal cuisine. This paper derived four types of perceptions. First type (pursuit of tradition) emphasized traditions of royal cuisine, i.e. cooking method and spacious menu-setting on the table. The second type (pursuit of refinement) stressed the importance of "atmosphere and luxuriousness of Korean restaurants and sophistication of royal cuisine, as well as the improvement of interior and exterior environments of Korean restaurants serving royal cuisine. The third type (pursuit of fundamentals) focused on fundamentals of royal cuisine itself such as raw materials, sincere effort, historical meaning, appropriate prices, etc. The last type (pursuit of health) valued a nutritionally balanced diet rather than taste itself. This study provides more specific positioning strategy based on the characteristics of each of the four classifications for the status of Korean restaurants.

Among the 160 documentes on Food menu in the Royal palace of Chosun Dynasty, 137 are cherished by the Academy of Korean study (old Chang Su Gack) and 23 by privates. We can find the other 2 documentes in biliography but they do not exist now. Most of them were written in Korean in the period between 1863 and 1937. Through them, we can learn how to set a meal table for people who served on wedding feast, the birth of Royal family and the national events, and several small feasts and ancestrial rites of Royal palace. And the food menu in them are based on Korean food.

이 연구의 목적은 프랑스 왕실 과학원이 18세기의 유럽의 중국지도 제작에 미친 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 1685년 루이 14세가 예수회 선교사를 왕실수학자로 임명하여 중국에 파견한 역사적 배경을 살펴보았는데, 세계 지도 제작을 위한 지리좌표 측정이 선교사 파견 원인임을 확인하였다. 둘째, 카시니는 선교사들에게 경도측량법을 전수하였고, 선교사들은 과학원의 통신회원으로 활동하며, 과학원에 탐사결과를 보고하였다. 셋째, 선교사들의 초반 관측 기록은 중국의 전반적인 지도를 수정할 정도로는 충분하지 않았다. 그렇지만 1700년 이후의 지도에서는 프톨레마이오스의 전통에서 벗어나서 베이징의 좌표를 이전에 비해 약 $20^{\circ}$ 정도 서쪽으로 이동시켜 지도상에서 중국의 너비의 폭을 축소하였다. 넷째, 파견된 선교사들이 참여하여 제작한 "황여전람도"는 프랑스로 전달되었으며, 당빌에 의해 "신중국지도첩"으로 제작되었다. 그리고 이 지도는 이후 100년이 넘게 유럽의 중국 표준지도로 사용되었다.

No.87 Sogong-dong where is the Chosun hotel stand. There was the Nambeol-gung(south ern royal villa) which had been a reception hall for enboys of the toadied country before Hwangudan圜丘壇 being set up in the year 1897. The site of the Nambeol-gung was Gyeongjeong慶貞 princess's a lot for house in the early 15th century. But after princess's death, it occurred property dispute between her son and four daughters. As a result of the dispute, a lot and a house of all the princess's properties reverted to the government. At reverted this lot was established a big royal villa in the year 1583 and that royal villa was granted to Uian prince. The villa reverted to the government again when the Uian義安 prince was dead in 12 years old by an epidemic. After the Imjin Invasion壬辰倭亂, another houses and buildings got to be role as a palace because of all the palace in the capital was burnt down to ashes. Among others Nambeol-gung was brought into play as the royal audience chamber. As well as, the villa became brought out role as a reception hall for enboys of the toadied country instead of a damaged reception hall the Taepyong-gwan太平館. In period when the envoy didn't come, the Nambeol-gung was used to extraordinary office of government like Dogam都監. This situation is to mean that the Nambeol-gung is not the royal villa any more. Because of the Nambeol-gung was built as a royal villa, that spaces were composited like space of house and palace. But this spatial composition and spatial name were not fit to hold a ceremony of government office. After all, Nambeol-gung was used change only the spatial name conform to ceremony of office keep up the spatial composition.
