After 1960s, a radical change was taken place in the modern urban theories which were developped by many architects and planners like Ebenezer Howard, Tony Garnier, Le Corbusier, Ludwig Hiberseimer, and Patrick Abercrombie. Many contemporary architects like Kevin Lynch, Aldo Rossi, Christopher Alexander, Colin Rowe, Rem Koolhaas, and Bernard Tschumi have a view that modern urban theories lost their abilities to organize and control new realities so that new urban theories was needed in order to cope with urban problems in the 1960s. In this study, we are to examine contemporary urban theories in comparison with modern urban theories and to clarify the role of discourse of language in its emergence. In consequence we can detect four main themes in the process of transformation from modern urban theories to contemporary urban theories : from functionalism to formalism, from historicism to archeology, from space to placeness, and from hierarchical organization to network. And we can prove that such themes basically depend on the discourse of language.

Ninety six plant species recorded at the alpine tundra zone on the Paektusan (Zhu and Rowe, 1987) were examined on the floras of alpine and subalpine zones in Korea. Among the 96 species, 59(61%), 47(49%) and 51(53%) species in the alpine zone of Kwanmobong, Turyusan and Puksubaeksan were recognized respectively, and 24(25%), 21(22%), 11(11%) and 16(17%) species in the subalpine zone of Myohyangsan, Kumgangsan, Soraksan, Chirisan and Hallasan respectively. The similarities between the alpine tundra zone of Paektusan and the alpine zones of other mountains in Korea showed high values than the values compared with subalpine zones.

This paper summarizes the size and output of the major animal industries in Australia and the feed resource available to maintain production. The most important feed source is pasture but there is also extensive use of cereal grains, pulses and by-products in the intensive animal industries and in supplementing the diet of grazing animals. These resources must be used in ways that ensure sustainable production. We outline a number of Decision Support Systems such as GrazFeed, GrassGro, and AusPig which play an important role in optimizing the way in which resources are used. Waste management with respect to mineral pollution of water courses and methane production as a greenhouse gas are important issues for the animal industries and are also considered.

Terahertz (THz) generation by a GaP ridge waveguide with a collinear modal phase-matching scheme based on cascaded difference frequency generation (DFG) processes is theoretically analyzed. The cascaded Stokes interaction processes and the cascaded anti-Stokes interaction processes are investigated from coupled wave equations. THz intensities and quantum conversion efficiency are calculated. Compared with non-cascaded DFG processes, THz intensities from 11-order cascaded DFG processes are increased to 5.48. The quantum conversion efficiency of 177.9% in cascaded processes can be realized, exceeding the Manley-Rowe limit.

This paper aims to develop international marketing strategies for Korean traditional food and gives some implications to firms that are ready to invest in developed countries with Korean traditional food and to the government that needs to make a policy to support the food industry in international marketing. For this, we researched data and studied domestic and international cases. Also, we extracted two common factors(namely product factor and image factor) through fourteen variables by factor analysis and tested whether both factors significantly influence on the success of international marketing(favorable impression). As a results, we found several key success factors(KSF), including both factors mentioned above and developed international marketing strategies for Korean traditional food reflecting these key success factors.

Haglund's syndrome produces retrocalcaneal bursitis or achilles tendinitis due to impingement of posterior superior bursal projection of calcaneus on insertional fibers of achilles tendon. Haglund's syndrome has been mainly associated with wearing rigid counter shoes and with athletes. We experienced three case of late sequelae of secondary Haglund's syndrome after malunion of tongue type calcaneus fracture. It is to be the first description of secondary Haglund's syndrome after calcaneus malunion and also the first report as the late complication of calcaneus fractures. Three cases were all tongue type intraarticular fractures and were treated with $45^{\circ}$ superior angle resection of superior calcaneal tuberosity. Clinical results by modified Rowe score were excellent with complete pain relief for all three cases.

본 연구에서는 폐열회수를 위한 열전발전기술개발의 일환으로 자체 고안한 열전발전시스템을 구성하였고 상용화된 열전모듈을 적용하여 다양한 온도범위에서 열전모듈의 출력성능을 시험하였다. 시스템에 적용된 실험용 열전소자로는 49개의 열전쌍으로 구성된 미국 A 사의 모듈과 127개의 열전쌍으로 구성된 국내 B 사에서 제조한 모듈을 사용하였으며, 열전모듈 한 개에 대하여 , 그리고 5개의 모듈을 직렬로 연결하여 온도차 ($\Delta$T)를 변화시키면서 이때의 출력변화를 측정하였고, 또한15$0^{\circ}C$로 고정된 온도차에서 부하저항을 변화시키면서 출력성능을 실험하여 발전출력에 미치는 시스템인자들을 조사하고 이를 적용한 발전시스템의 최적조건을 도출하고자하였다.

The quantum conversion efficiency of 479.4% in cascaded processes, which exceeds the Manley-Rowe limit, can be realized.

본 논문에서는 경남 양산지역의 퇴적층에서 채취한 불교란 시료를 이용하여 표준압밀시험($IL_{CON}$)과 일정변형률(CRS, Constant Rates of Strain) 압밀시험을 수행한 후 각각의 시험결과를 분석하여 양산점토의 투수특성을 고찰하였다. 이를 위하여 투수계수와 간극비의 관계를 Kozeny(1927)와 Carman(1956) 이후 제안된 많은 연구결과와 비교, 검토하였으며, 시료를 연직방향으로 성형하여 CRS 시험을 수행한 후 횡방향투수계수를 산정하여 양산점토의 투수계수의 이방성을 살펴보았다. CRS시험 결과, 직접적으로 정상류를 발생시켜 누수계수를 측정하는 Rowe cell 시험에 비하여 상대적으로 투수계수의 이방성이 과소평가되는 경향을 보였다. 또한 현장 투수계수에 영향을 미치는 요소들을 살펴보고, 깊이에 따른 투수계수를 고찰하였다.다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the multi-layered space utilized as strategy for deconstruction in the architecture of Hiromi Fujii. Although the design of Eisenman and Fujii was based on the philosophical theory of Jacques Derrida, there are many different aspects of architecture. At the same time, Hiromi Fujii could construct his concept of multi-layered space to colligate the academic knowledge of Jacques Derrida, Roman Jakobson and Colin Rowe. This kind of concept for multi-layered space is a critical element to be distinct from the characters between two architects, and it is implied such as an significant concept to analyze the architecture for Hiromi Fujii. This multi-layered space contains interesting and researchable value to understand and to analyze the western architecture theory from the viewpoint of Asian architect. Accordingly, the purpose of the thesis is to find the meaning to establish an theoretical foundation for being under discussion to the architecture of Fujii through the concept of multi-layered space.
