Recently, AODV routing protocol which one of the table driven method for the purpose data transmission between nodes has been broadly used in mobile wireless sensor networks. An existing AODV has a little overhead of routing packets because of keeping the routing table for activity route and re-routes to recovery the routes in route discontinuation. However that has faults in that excesses useless of the network bandwidth to recovery the route and takes a lone time to recovery the route. This paper proposes an efficient route recovery method for AODV based on wireless sensor networks in connection breaks. The proposed method. The propose method controls the number of RREQ message considering the energy's node and distance between nodes to restrict the flooding range of RREQ message while expanding the range of local repair. In test results, the proposed method are compared to existing method, the number of drops decrease 15.43% and the delay time for re-route decrease 0.20sec.

Recently, smart sensors are used in various environments, and the implementation of ad-hoc sensor networks (ASNs) is a hot research topic. Unfortunately, traditional sensor network routing algorithms focus on specific control issues, and they can't be directly applied to the ASN operation. In this paper, we propose a new routing protocol by using the Q-learning technology, Main challenge of proposed approach is to extend the life of ASNs through efficient energy allocation while obtaining the balanced system performance. The proposed method enhances the Q-learning effect by considering various environmental factors. When a transmission fails, node penalty is accumulated to increase the successful communication probability. Especially, each node stores the Q value of the adjacent node in its own Q table. Every time a data transfer is executed, the Q values are updated and accumulated to learn to select the optimal routing route. Simulation results confirm that the proposed method can choose an energy-efficient routing path, and gets an excellent network performance compared with the existing ASN routing protocols.
Routing and wavelength assignment(RWA) problem is an important issue in optical transport networks based on wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) technique. It is typically solved using a combination of linear programming and graph coloring, or path selection based graph algorithms. Such methods are either complex or make extensive use of heuristics. In this paper we propose a novel and efficient approach which basically obtains the maximum edge disjoint paths (EDPs) for each source-destination demand pair. And those EDPs obtained are stored in Lookup Table and used for the update of weight matrix. Routes are determined in order by the weight matrix for the demand set. The comprehensive computer simulation shows that the Proposed algorithm uses similar or fewer wavelengths with significantly less execution time than bounded greedy approach (BGA) for EDP which is currently known to be effective in practice.
In this paper, we implement and verify XMIP integrating IETF Mobile IP and the Explicit Multicast mechanism for a great number of small group multicast communications. U a source node sends Xcast packets explicitly inserting destination nodes into the headers, each Xcast router decides routes and forwards the packets toward each destination node based on unicast routing table without the support of multicast trees. n is a straightforward and simple multicast mechanism just based on a unicast routing table without maintaining multicast states because of the inheritance from the Explicit Multicast mechanism. This research modifies and extends the functionality of IETF Mobile IP's mobility agents, such as HA/FA to HA+/FA+ respectively, considering interworking with Xcast networks. Xcast packets captured by HA+ are forwarded into X-in-X tunnel interfaces for each FA+ referred to the binding table of HA.. This X-in-X tunneling mechanism can effectively solve the traffic concentration problem of IETF Mobile IP multicast services. Finally WLAN-based testbed is built and a multi-user Instant messenger system is developed as a Xcast application for finally verify the feasibility of the implemented XMIP/Xcast protocols.

Due to aggressive scaling of device sizes and reduced noise margins, physical defects caused by aging and process variation are continuously increasing. Additionally, with scaling limitation of metal wire and the increasing of communication volume, fault tolerant method in manycore network-on-chip (NoC) has been actively researched. However, there are few researches investigating reliability in NoC with voltage-frequency-island (VFI) regime. In this paper, we propose a table-based routing technique that can communicate, even if link failures occur in the VFI NoC. The output port is alternatively selected between best and the detour routing path in order to improve reliability with minimized hardware cost. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves full coverage within 1% faulty links. Compared to $d^2$-LBDR that also considers a routing method for searching a detour path in real time, the proposed method, on average, produces 0.8% savings in execution time and 15.9% savings in energy consumption.
Mobile ad hoc networks(MANET) have recently attrarted a lot of attention in the research community as well as in industry. Although the previous research mainly focused on the various problems of MANET in data link and network layers, we consider, in this paper, how to efficiently support applications such as service discovery on top of MANET. Peer-to-Peer(P2P) overlay network can be adopted to service discovery mechanism because P2P and MANET share certain similarities, primarily the fact that both arc instances of self-organizing decentralized systems. Especially, distributed hash table(DHT) systems used for r2r overlay network can be effective in reducing the communication overhead in service discovery. However, since overlay network is independent of physical network topology and existing topology-aware mechanisms are based on the wired network, they are inefficient in MANET. We propose a proximity-based overlay network routing to overcome the inefficiency of routing in overlay network. In the proximity-based overlay network routing, each node collects information of physically close nodes by using one hop broadcast and routes messages to the logically closest node to destination. In a detailed ns-2 simulation study, we show that the proximity-based overlay network routing reduces the number of physical hops comparable to the flooding-based mechanism with low communication overhead. We also find that the proposed scheme works well in the mobile environment.

QoS techniques and transmitted in real-time communication with the advancement of technology a variety of applications and services are available these days, mobile devices bogeuphwa LTE technology to the development of multimedia services with high quality can be realized. In order to satisfy this condition simply with a router with an increased bandwidth expansion by considering the increase in the routing table of the network scalability problems included. Burst traffic data to be distributed according to the environment is to be centered. To do this, the destination -based routing method to transmit the current paper -based (Source routing) routing settings are required. In this paper, published by the IETF, IP switching system based on standardized protocol Label Switching Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network by using the existing Best Effect is difficult to guarantee QoS for multimedia transmission in MPLS network environment using optimized QoS guarantees to transmit the multicast.
Traditional service-level agreements (SLAs), defined by average delay or packet loss, often camouflage the instantaneous performance perceived by end-users. We define a set of metrics for service availability to quantify the performance of Internet protocol (IP) backbone networks and capture the impact of routing dynamics on packet forwarding. Given a network topology and its link weights, we propose a novel technique to compute the associated service availability by taking into account transient routing dynamics and operational conditions, such as border gateway protocol (BGP) table size and traffic distributions. Even though there are numerous models for characterizing topologies, none of them provide insights on the expected performance perceived by end customers. Our simulations show that the amount of service disruption experienced by similar networks (i.e., with similar intrinsic properties such as average out-degree or network diameter) could be significantly different, making it imperative to use new metrics for characterizing networks. In the second part of the paper, we derive goodness factors based on service availability viewed from three perspectives: Ingress node (from one node to many destinations), link (traffic traversing a link), and network-wide (across all source-destination pairs). We show how goodness factors can be used in various applications and describe our numerical results.

Greedy forwarding is the key mechanism of geographic routing and is one of the protocols used most commonly in wireless sensor networks. Greedy forwarding uses 1-hop local information to forward packets to the destination and does not have to maintain the routing table, and thus it takes small overhead and has excellent scalability. However, the signal intensity reduces exponentially with the distance in realistic wireless sensor network, and greedy forwarding consumes a lot of energy, since it forwards the packets to the neighbor node closest to the destination. Previous proposed greedy forwarding protocols are the sender-based greedy forwarding that a sender selects a neighbor node to forward packets as the forwarding node and hence they cannot guarantee energy efficient forwarding in unpredictable wireless environment. In this paper, we propose the receiver-based greedy forwarding called RGF where one of the neighbor nodes that received the packet forwards it by itself. In RGF, sender selects several energy efficient nodes as candidate forwarding nodes and decides forwarding priority of them in order to prevent unnecessary transmissions. The simulation results show that RGF improves delivery rate up to maximum 66.8% and energy efficiency, 60.9% compared with existing sender-based greedy forwarding.

In Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN), an authentication technique can be compromised due to the distributed network architecture, the broadcast nature of the wireless medium and dynamic network topology. Several vulnerabilities exist in different protocols for WMNs. Hence, in this paper, we propose trust based authentication and key establishment for secure routing in WMN. Initially, a trust model is designed based on Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) to exchange the trust information among the nodes. The routing table is utilized to select the destination nodes, for which the link information is updated and the route verification is performed. Based on the trust model, mutual authentication is applied. When a node moves from one operator to another for accessing the router, inter-authentication will be performed. When a node moves within the operator for accessing the router, then intra-authentication will be performed. During authentication, keys are established using identity based cryptography technique. By simulation results, we show that the proposed technique enhances the packet delivery ratio and resilience with reduced drop and overhead.
