Using a Location-Based Route-service development for Smart-phone (스마트폰을 이용한 위치 기반 경로 서비스 개발)

  • 스마트폰 사용자가 증가 할수록 사용자들을 위한 다양한 어플리케이션들이 개발 되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 실행 가능한 발전된 위치기반 응용 프로그램인 ALS를 제안하고 개발하였으며 기존 유사 서비스와 성능을 비교하였다. ALS는 기본적으로 경로 등록, 경로 검색 등 2가지 기능을 사용자들에게 제공하며 이들은 웹 및 데이터베이스 서버, 그리고 사용자의 이동 단말기에 의해 동적으로 관리된다. 사용자들은 스마트폰을 이용하여 위치 정보를 검색 및 업데이트 할 때, 서버들은 필요한 정보를 제공하여 사용자들이 자유롭게 자신들이 등록한 정보를 추가, 수정, 그리고 제거를 할 수 있도록 한다. 이는 기존의 다른 지도 서비스들이 사용자들로부터 직접적으로 정보 입력을 허용하지 않는 것과 달리 사용자들에게 정보입력을 담당하게 한다는 점에서 구별된다. 또한 본 논문에서는 위치 기반 경로서비스 시스템 구현 과정과 함께 각 동작에 대한 실험결과를 보여주며, 마지막으로 기존 서비스들과의 성능 평가를 통해 더 나은 성능을 제공할 수 있음을 설명한다.

A Study on Weighing the Critical Factors of Building a New Deep Seaport System: the Case of Lach Huyen, Vietnam

  • The aim of this study is to determine the critical factors and construction requirements for a new deep-water seaport system in the Lach Huyen area in northern Vietnam. In this study, the Analytic Hierarchical Process (AHP ) method was used to evaluate the importance of the criteria and subcriteria. The results were as follows: the principal criterion "geographical location (0.151)" ranked as the most important criterion for building a new deep-water port system, which is affected by the subcriteria "direct sea route with mega-vessel" and "good liner connectivity index". The principal criterion "port competency (0.145)" ranked second; thus, it can be concluded that good competitiveness of a port' will provide many benefits to the port and the region. Regarding the implication, the established evaluation framework can be used for port construction to make a more reasonable judgment. In a future study, the scope of evaluation factors should be widened, involving participation of broader stakeholders, such as shipping companies, forwarders, and logistics companies.

  • The trend is growing domestic and international travelers. Research before making plans to travel people, Leave the tour you do not know the way, there are people who can not find a better destination. In this paper, to solve this problem and provide a mobile-to efficiency in traveling through a smart-phone application. At the same time to improve the convenience and satisfaction, etc. Select the destination country and traveling through the guidance system and the destination in the shortest path from the current location of the user to select multiple destinations shorten the travel route and save time. Also implemented to provide a convenience to guide the position of the additional facilities.

  • With the development of modern technology, the use of unmanned automation equipment that can replace humans in logistics and industrial sites is increasing. The technology of one such automation facility, the Unmanned Carrier (AGV), includes Line Tracing, which allows you to recognize a line through infrared sensors and drive a predetermined route. In this paper, the shortest time algorithm using Arduino is configured in the line tracing technology to enable efficient driving. It is also designed to collect location and time information using RFID tags.

  • This paper introduces a system that assists the blind to move to their destination, and compares the performance of 3-types of deep learning network (DNN) used in the system. The system is made up with a smartphone application that finds route from current location to destination using GPS and navigation API and a bus station installation module that recognizes and informs the bus (type and number) being about the board at bus stop using 3-types of DNN and bus information API. To make the module recognize bus number to get on, We adopted faster-RCNN, YOLOv4, YOLOv5s and YOLOv5s showed best performance in accuracy and speed.

Integration of BIM and Simulation for optimizing productivity and construction Safety

  • Construction safety is a predominant hindrance in in-situ workflow and considered an unresolved issue. Current methods used for safety optimization and prediction, with limited exceptions, are paper-based, thus error prone, as well as time and cost ineffective. In an attempt to exploit the potential of BIM for safety, the objective of the proposed methodology is to automatically predict hazardous on-site conditions related to the route that the dozers follow during the different phases of the project. For that purpose, safety routes used by construction equipment from an origin to multiple destinations are computed using video cameras and their cycle times are calculated. The cycle times and factors; including weather and light conditions, are considered to be independent and identically distributed random variables (iid); and simulated using the Arena software. The simulation clock is set to 100 to observe the minor changes occurring due to external parameters. The validation of this technology explores the capabilities of BIM combined with simulation for enhancing productivity and improving safety conditions a-priori. Preliminary results of 262 measurements indicate that the proposed methodology has the potential to predict with 87% the location of exclusion zones. Also, the cycle time is estimated with an accuracy of 89%.

ACE-BIS: A Cost-Effective Bus Information System (ACE-BIS: 최적의 버스 노선을 선택하기 위한 비용 효율적인 알고리즘의 개발)

  • Due to the rapid development in mobile communication technologies, the usage of mobile devices such as cellular phones and PDAs becomes increasingly popular. One of the best ways to maximize the usability of mobile devices is to make them aware of their current locations and the locations of other fixed and mobile objects. In this paper, we propose a cost-effective Bus Information System, ACE-BIS, which utilizes a mobile device to retrieve the bus routes to reach a destination from the current location. To accomplish this task, ACE-BIS maintains a small amount of information on bus stops and bus routes in a mobile device and runs a heuristic routing algorithm based on such information. When a user asks more accurate route information or calls for a 'leave later query', ACE-BIS entrusts the task to a server into which real-time traffic and bus location information is being collected. By separating the roles into a mobile device and a server, ACE-BIS is able to provide bus routes at the lowest cost for wireless communications, without imposing much burden to a server. The results of extensive experiments revealed that ACE-BIS is effective and scalable in most experimental settings.

Effects of Ac Mutual Coupling According to Location of Auxiliary Electrodes In Measuring the Ground Impedance of Vertically or Horizontally Buried Ground Electrode (수직 또는 수평으로 매설된 접지전극의 접지임피던스 측정시 보조전극 위치에 따른 전자유도의 영향)

  • In order to minimize ac mutual coupling, the auxiliary electrode are located at a right angle in measuring ground impedance. In case that the measurement space is limited, the alternative method is employed. At that time, it is necessary to investigate the measurement errors due to ac mutual coupling and earth mutual resistance in measuring the ground impedances. 'This paper presents the measurement accuracy according to the location of the current and potential auxiliary electrodes in measuring ground impedance of vertically or horizontally buried ground electrode. The measurement errors due to ac mutual coupling were evaluated Consequently, the effect of ac mutual coupling on the measurement accuracy for horizontally buried ground electrode is greater than that for vertically buried ground electrode. Measurement errors due to ac mutual coupling is the largest when the current and potential auxiliary electrodes are located in parallel. The 61.8[%] rule is inappropriate in measuring ground measurement. Theoretically, in case that the angle between the current and potential auxiliary electrodes is 90$[^{\circ}]$, there is no ac mutual coupling. If it is not possible to route the current and potential auxiliary electrodes at a right angle with limitation of measurement space, the location of these electrodes with an obtuse angle is preferred to that with an acute angle in reducing the measurement errors due to ac mutual coupling.

  • Wireless sensor network system is expected to get high attention in research for now and future owing to the advanced hardware development technology and its various applicabilities. Among variety of sensor network systems, the seashore and marine sensor network, which are extended to get sampling of marine resources, environmental monitoring to prevent disaster and to be applied to the area of sea route guidance. For these marine applications to be available, however, the provision of precise location information of every sensor nodes is essential. In this paper, the sequential localization algorithm for obtaining the location information of marine sensor nodes. The sequential localization is done with the utilization of a small number of beacon nodes along the seashore and gets the location of nodes by controling the sequences of localization and also minimizes the error accumulation. The key idea of this algorithm for localization is that the localization priority of each sensor nodes is determined by the number of reference nodes' information. This sequential algorithm shows the improved error performance and also provide the increased coverage of marine sensor network by enabling the maximum localization of sensor nodes as possible.

A Study on the Concentrations of Indoor Radon for Houses in Chungcheongbuk-do Province, Korea (충청북도 일부지역 내 주택 실내 라돈 농도)

  • Objectives: Modern people spend most of their day indoors. As the health impact of radon becomes an issue, public interest also has been growing. The primary route of potential human exposure to radon is inhalation. Long-term exposure to high levels of radon increases the risk of developing lung cancer. Radon exposure is known to be the second-leading cause of lung cancer, following tobacco smoke. This study measures the indoor radon concentrations in detached houses in area A of Chungcheongbuk-do Province considering the construction year, cracks in the houses, the location of installed detectors, and seasonal effects. Methods: The survey was conducted from September 2017 to April 2018 on 1,872 private households located in selected areas in northern Chungcheongbuk-do Province to figure out the year of building construction and the location of detector installed and identify the factors which affect radon concentrations in the air within the building. Radon was measured using a manual alpha track detector (Raduet, Hungary) with a sampling period of longer than 90 days. Results: Indoor radon concentrations in winter within area A was surveyed to be 168.3±193.3 Bq/㎥. There was more than a 2.3 times difference between buildings built before 1979 and those built after 2010. The concentration reached 195.4±221.9 Bq/㎥ for buildings with fractures and 167.2±192.4 Bq/㎥ for buildings without fractures. It was found that detectors installed in household areas with windows exhibited a lower concentration than those installed in concealed spaces. Conclusion: High concentrations of indoor radon were shown when there was a crack in the house. Also, ventilation seems to significantly affect radon concentrations because when the location of the detector in the installed site was near windows compared to an enclosed area, radon concentration variation increased. Therefore, it is considered that radon concentration is lower in summer because natural ventilation occurs more often than in winter.
