  • Warm deep drawability in a square cup drawing was investigated using a newly developed high-strength steel sheet with retained austenite that was transformed into martensite during formation. For this investigation, six different temperatures between room temperature and 250℃, and five different drawing ratios ranging from 2.2 to 2.6 were considered. The results showed that the maximum drawing force and the drawing depth were affected by the change in temperature, and a more stable thickness strain distribution was observed at elevated temperatures. However, blue shortness occurred at over 200℃. FEM analysis using the LS-DYNA code was used to compare the experimental results with the numerical results for the thickness strain distribution.

  • In this study, the repetitive loading-unloading tensile tests with AZ31B magnesium sheet metal have been conducted under various elevated temperatures to check out how the Young's moduli of the sheets evolve during the plastic deformation. The loading-unloading tests have been carried out at every 1% of strain increment. With the tested results, some damage parameters of magnesium sheets based on the Lemaitre's continuum damage theory could be calculated at room temperature, $100^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$ and $250^{\circ}C$. It has been shown that the critical damage parameters obtained in all temperature conditions are within the range of 0.12 to 0.18.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the autonomic nervous system activity in various ambient temperatures. To evaluate autonomic function, we use the frequency domain analysis of heart rate variability such as FFT(fast fourier transformation), AR(Auto-Regressive) model and Lomb-Scargle peridogram. HRV(heart rate variability) is calculated by using ECG recorded from 3 different temperature room which temperature is controlled in 18℃(low), 25℃(mid) and 38℃(high), respectively. Totally 22 subjects were participated in the experiment. In the results, the most significant autonomic changes caused by temperature load were found in the HF(high frequency) component of FFT and AR model. And the HF power is decreased by increasing temperature. Significance level was increased by increasing the difference of temperatures.

  • The radiation heat-transfer coefficient is generally used to calculate radiant heat exchange of heating space. The coefficient is evenly adopted in most cases, but it is not correct in actual cases. The purpose of this paper is to grasp the changing aspect of radiation heat-transfer coefficient needed for heating load calculation of radiant heating space. Surface temperatures are measured in an Ondol space, and the coefficients are derived and examined. Gebhart's Absorption Factor Method is used for the calculations of the rates of instantaneous radiant exchange in the room. As the result, it is confirmed that the coefficients are variant according to surface temperatures, and proper coefficients are needed for each of conditions.

  • A series of fluorinated aromatic poly(hydroxyamide)s (PHAs) were synthesized by direct polycondensation of diacides containing 2,6-dimethylphenoxy group and quinoxaline ring in the main chain with 2,2-bis-(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl) hexafluoropropane. The PHAs had relatively low inherent viscosities in the range of 0.35~0.43 dL/g at $35^{\circ}C$ in DMAc solution. All PHAs exhibited excellent solubility in aprotic solvents such as NMP, DMAc, DMF and DMSO as well as in common organic solvents such as pyridine, THF, and m-cresol at room temperature. However, the poly(benzoxazole)s (PBOs) were quite insoluble in all organic solvents except partially soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid. The PBOs showed glass transition temperatures between 233 and $284^{\circ}C$ by DSC and maximum weight loss temperatures in the range of $536-546^{\circ}C$ by TGA.

  • III-V magnetic semiconductors initiated by GaMnAs growth at low temperatures via molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) has been a hot issue recently for their possible application to spntronics. GaMnN may be one of the candidates for room temperature operating ferromagnetic semiconductors as proposed by a theoretical calculation, However, since GaN was grown at very high temperatures above ∼750$^{\circ}C$ even with MBE, it is expected that the incorporation of Mn into GaN will be limited. • The Co oxide microfibers were synthesized using the electrospinning process and formed $Co_3O_4$ microfibers after being calcined at high temperatures. The calcination temperature influenced the diameters, morphology, crystalline phase, and chemical environment of the fibers. The surface morphology of the obtained fibers was examined by using the scanning electron microscope (SEM). As the calcination temperatures increased from room temperature to 873 and 1173 K, the diameters of the cobalt oxide fibers decreased from 1.79 to 0.82 and 0.32 mm, respectively. The structure of the fibers was investigated with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The calcined $Co_3O_4$ fibers had crystalline face-centered cubic (fcc) structure. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results revealed that increasing the calcination temperature promoted the formation of $Co^{2+}$ and $Co^{3+}$ species.

  • The Vickers microhardness was measured on the basal (0001) plane of sapphire single crystals in the temperature range from 25$^{\circ}C$to 1000$^{\circ}C$. The substructure surrounding the indents was investigated using selective chemical polishing and etching, optical microscopy, and trasmission electron microscopy (TEM). At room temperature, cracks were predominant, and at intermediate temperatures (400$^{\circ}C$and 600$^{\circ}C$), extensive rhombohedral twinning was observed. On the other hand, at higher temperatures, prism plane slip bands on prism plane {1120}(원문참조) were dominant in the microstructure. TEM observations revealed that the dislocation substructure at the vicinity of the indents consisted of fairly straight dislocations lying in basal and/or prism planes and aligned along the <1100> and <1120> directions. The details of the glide dissociation of perfect <110> screw dislocations into three collinear 1/3<1100> partials on the prism plane and the Peierls potential for sapphire single crystals were discussed.

  • The effects of high temperature on strength, elastic modulus and strain at peak stress of concrete were experimentally investigated. The type of test was the stressed test that a preload was applied to the specimen prior to heating and the load was sustained during the heating period. In this study, the level of preload was 25% of compressive strength at room temperature. All tests were conducted at various temperatures(20,100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and $700^{\circ}C$) for concretes made with W/B ratios 46% and 32%. Test results showed that on the whole, the relative values of strength and elastic modulus, and the real strain value at peak stress were not influenced by the W/B ratio.

  • This paper is concerned with pressure welding, which has been known as a main bonding mechanism during the cold and warm forming such as clad extrusion or bundle extrusion/drawing. Bonding characteristics between the Cu and Al plates by pressure welding are investigated focusing on the weak bonding. Experiments are performed at the cold and warm temperatures ranging from the room temperature to $200^{\circ}C$. The important factors examined in this work are the welding pressure, pressure holding time, surface roughness, and temperature. A bonding map, which can identify the bonding criterion with a weak bonding strength of IMPa , is proposed in terms of welding pressure and surface roughness fur the cold and warm temperature ranges.
