클래드강 적용을 위한 선급용 강재의 열처리 특성 평가 (Clad Steel for Application of Hull Structure)

  • Clad steel has good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties arising from the hot rolling of dissimilar metals, such as carbon steel and stainless steel. However both good corrosion resistance from the cladding plate material(stainless steel) and mechanical properties from the base plate material (carbon steel) are difficult to obtain because the different steels display opposite behaviors during the cladding process. In order to make clad steel for application in the hulls of ships, proper materials selection and heat-treatment conditions are necessary. In this study, mechanical properties of base plate materials with different chemical composition were evaluated according to heat condition of cladding plate material.

진공증착법으로 제조된 Zn-Cr박막의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Properties of the Zn-Cr Alloy Films by Evaporation)

  • A study on corrosion and adhesion properties of evaporated Zn-Cr films were conducted on steel strip by two-source evaporater. Corrosion resistance of Zn-Cr coated steel was evaluated by salt spray test in 5% NaCl. Adhesion property of Zn-Cr films on steel substrate was evaluated by tape test after $180^\circC$ bending. Adhesion was improved with increasing the Cr content and reached the maximum at the Cr content of 6 to 8wt%. Corrosion resistance was enhanced with increasing the Cr content and improved by rolling Zn-Cr coated specimen, as a post-treatment.

표면처리된 Al 5083-H131 합금의 고속 충격 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the fracture behavior of surface treated Al 5083-H131 alloy under the high velocity impact)

  • In order to investigate the effect of surface treatment(Anodizing) and rolling in Al 5083-H131 alloy, ballistic testing was conducted. Ballistic resistance of these materials. was measured by protection ballistic limit(V$_{50}$), a statical velocity with 50% probability for incomplete penetration. Fracture behaviors and ballistic tolerance, described by penetration modes, are observed respectfully, resulting from V$_{50}$ test and Projectile Through Plates(PTP) test at velocities greater than V$_{50}$. PTP tests were conducted with 0$^{\circ}$obliquity at room temperature were also conducted with projectiles that were able to achieve near or complete penetration during PTP tests. Resistance to penetration, and penetration modes of Al 5052-H34 alloy, compared to those of Al 5083-H131 alloy.alloy.

토션 바 스프링을 적용한 일체형 도어체커 개폐력 해석 (Door Effort Analysis for Door Checker of Integrated Type with Torsion Bar Spring)

  • Door effort was calculated for a new door checker with torsion bar spring and integrated checker case by FE analysis. A hybrid checker arm which has peaks and valleys only on the upper surface was adopted to reduce noise in operation and make operation with more distinctive steps. The checker arm was modeled using shell elements to estimate both the longitudinal and the lateral resistance force by checker arm. By combining the checker arm resistance force obtained from analysis and the door self-closing force by the theoretical calculation, door effort was predicted to show the good correlation with test results. In addition the unrolling effect of roller model was investigated and a new roller type for more smooth rolling was studied.

전차량의 3차원 동역학 모델 (Three-Dimensional Dynamic Model of Full Vehicle)

  • A three-dimensional dynamic model for simulating various motions of full vehicle is presented. The model has 16 independent degrees of freedom (DOF) consisting of three kinds of components; a vehicle body of 6 DOF, 4 independent suspensions equipped at every corner of the body, and 4 tire models linked with each suspension. The dynamic equations are represented in six coordinate frames such as world fixed coordinate, vehicle fixed coordinate, and four wheel fixed coordinate frames. Then these lead to the approximated prediction model of vehicle posture. Both lateral and longitudinal dynamics can be computed simultaneously under the conditions of which various inputs including steering command, driving torque, gravity, rolling resistance of tire, aerodynamic resistance, etc. are considered. It is shown through simulations that the proposed 3D model can be useful for precise design and performance analysis of any full vehicle control systems.

주행차량의 공기역학적 주행안전성 평가를 위한 알고리즘 개발연구 (Development of a Numerical Algorithm for the Evaluation of Aerodynamic Driving Stability of a Vehicle)

  • The objective of vehicle aerodynamic design is on the fuel economy, reduction of the harmful emission, minimizing the vibration and noise and the driving stability of the vehicle. Especially for a sedan, the driving stability of the vehicle is the main concern of the aerodynamic design of the vehicle indeed. In this theoretical study, an evaluation algorithm of aerodynamic driving stability of a vehicle was made to estimate the dynamic stability of a vehicle at the given driving condition on a road. For the stability evaluation of a driving vehicle, CFD simulation was conducted to have the rolling, pitching and yawing moments of a model vehicle and compared the values of the moments to the resistance moments. From the case study, it is found that a model sedan running at 100 km/h in speed on a straight level road is stable under the side wind with 45 m/s in speed. But the different results may be obtained on the buses and trucks because those vehicles have the wide side area. From the case study of the model vehicle moving on 100 km/h speed with 15 m/s side wind is evaluated using the numerical algorithm drawn from the study, the value of yawing moment is $608.6N{\cdot}m$, rolling moment $-641N{\cdot}m$ and pitching moment $3.9N{\cdot}m$. These values are smaller than each value of rotational resistance moment the model vehicle has, and therefore, the model vehicle's driving stability is guaranteed when driving 100 km/h with 15 m/s side wind.

타이어 펑크 차량의 주행 및 충돌후 거동 (Coasting and Post-impact Motion of a Vehicle With Tire Blowout)

  • 본 논문에서는 펑크 타이어 힘 시험 연구 결과들을 다양하게 수집하고 분석하여, 펑크(blow-out) 타이어 차량 동적 거동 해석을 위한 구름저항력(rolling resistance), 셀프 얼라이닝 토크(self aligning torque), 코너링 강성(cornering stiffness), 반경방향 강성(radial stiffness)과 같은 관련 계수들의 적정값을 추정하였다. 이러한 타이어 펑크 관련한 입력계수들을 자동차 사고 해석 상용 프로그램에서 설정하여 타이어 펑크 효과를 구현한 시뮬레이션 해석을 수행하였다. 그리고, 정상 차량들 간의 다양한 충돌 형태들과 속도 등을 참조하여, 펑크 차량의 충돌 유형들을 구성하고 시뮬레이션 해석을 수행하여 충돌 특성을 구하였다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 타이어 펑크 혹은 손상에 대한 고려는 보다 신뢰성 있는 자동차 사고 재구성에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

니오븀이 첨가된 Zr 합금 스트립의 부식 및 기계적 특성에 대한 중간열처리 영향 (Effects of Intermediate Heat Treatment on the Corrosion and Mechanical Properties of Zr Alloy Strip Incorporating Nb)

  • In order to investigate the effects of intermediate heat treatment between cold rolling passes on the hardness and corrosion properties of a Zr alloy incorporating Nb (Zr-1.49Nb-0.38Sn-0.20Fe-0.11Cr) strip, three different intermediate heat treatment processes ($580^{\circ}C{\times}4hrs$, $600^{\circ}C{\times}2hrs$ and $620^{\circ}{\times}1hrs$) were designed based on a recrystallization map and an accumulated annealing parameter. Test samples from the different processes were investigated by a hardness test, corrosion test, and microstructure analysis and appropriate heat-treatment conditions were thereupon proposed. The sample subjected to an intermediate heat treatment of $580^{\circ}C{\times}4hrs$ was harder than that undergoing $600^{\circ}C{\times}2hrs$ and $620^{\circ}C{\times}1hr$ while the corrosion resistance of the sample that received an intermediate heat treatment of $580^{\circ}C{\times}4hrs$ was superior to that of the other specimens. Considering the trade-off of hardness and corrosion resistance, an intermediate heat treatment process of $600^{\circ}C{\times}2hrs$ is proposed to improve the manufacturing process of the alloy strip.

이산요소해석법을 활용한 개단말뚝의 관내토 거동 분석 (Discrete Element Method (DEM) Analysis of Soil Plug Formation in Impact-Driven Open-ended Piles)

  • 본 연구에서는 개단말뚝의 항타 과정을 이산요소해석법(DEM)으로 모델링하여 관내토의 거동을 분석하였다. DEM 모델 검증을 위해 모형말뚝시험과 수치해석 결과를 비교하였으며, 입자 간 회전 저항력을 고려한 접촉모델을 적용하여 흙 입자 간 상호작용을 검증하였다. 2차원 원형 입상재료의 상대밀도와 말뚝의 관입 속도를 조절하여 관내토의 압축 거동을 성공적으로 모사하였으며, 초기 관입 속도가 감소할수록 관내토가 더 압축되는 경향을 확인하였다. DEM 모델을 통해 관내토 길이와 관내토 길이 지표인 Plug Length Ratio(PLR), Incremental Filling Ratio(IFR)를 분석하였으며, 이를 모형시험 결과와 비교하여 개단말뚝의 관내토 거동을 검증하였다. 본 연구는 관내토의 폐색상태를 직접 반영하여 개단말뚝의 거동을 분석할 수 있는 이산요소해석법을 활용한 모델을 개발하였으며, 그 모델링 과정와 검증 방법을 상세히 소개하여 향후 연구의 시행착오를 줄이는 데 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

30ft급 쌍동형 세일링 요트의 항주자세에 따른 실선저항 및 모멘트 추정에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Ship Resistance and Moment Prediction for Running Attitude of 30 Feet Catamaran Sailing Yacht)

  • During sailing by wind-driven thrust on the sail, a catamaran sailing yacht generates leeway and heeling. For estimating resistance and moment prediction of a real ship by changing of running attitude, a model test of the ship has to be carried out. This study aims at establishing experimental techniques for a catamaran sailing yacht by changed attitude during running direction. Through the model test, drag and side force of the real ship are predicted. Also through experiment, rolling and yawing moments were considered.
