배전용 전력 케이블을 위한 비-가교 폴리올레핀 재질의 절연특성 연구 (A Study on the Dielectric Characteristics of Non-Cross Linked Polyolefin for Distribution Power Cables)

  • A cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) material has been widely used to develop a distribution power cable due to its excellent electrical characteristics and mechanical strength. However, several problems such as environmental disruption, electrical aging, thermosetting property, and impurities which cause degradation also arise. Therefore, a novel dielectric material should be developed to substitute for the XLPE. Several kinds of polyolefin materials to substitute for the conventional dielectric material, XLPE are developed and A cylindrical rod to cylindrical rod electrode system made with stainless steel is used to perform the experiments according to the ASTM D-149 protocol under an AC and Impulse input voltage condition. The experimental results are calculated by the Weibull distribution method and analyzed by an Finite Element Method(FEM). Finally, the dielectric characteristics of the conventional XLPE and novel polyolefin are experimented compared with each other in this study.

축소모델을 이용한 접지전극 주변의 위험전압 평가 (Evaluations of Dangerous Voltages around Grounding Electrode using Small-sized Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 접지에 관련된 문제를 실제 현장데이터로부터 해결할 수 있는 유용한 방법을 제안하기 위하여 실규모와 축소모델 접지전극 주변에서 측정된 접촉전압, 보폭전압과 표면전위분포에 대한 실험결과를 기술하였다. 사례연구로서 가로등, 교통신호등과 제어기와 같은 도로시설물의 설치에 사용되는 콘크리트 기초좌대 주변의 대지표면전위분포와 위험전압을 측정하고 검토하였다. 균질의 토양을 모의하기 위하여 직경이 1,160[mm]인 반구형 용기를 사용하였다. 그 결과, 축소모델을 이용하여 측정한 결과는 실규모설비에서 얻은 결과와 잘 일치하였으며, 축소모델 실험은 산악, 지하, 수중 등과 같이 접근할 수 없는 장소에 설치된 접지전극 주변의 위험전압을 평가하는 유용한 수단으로 이용될 수 있음이 확인되었다.

  • The purpose of this experiment was to develope Triggered Vacuum Switch (TVS) for the high voltage and high current. The TVS has an array of rods of alternate polarity in which a fixed gap spacing is maintained between the rods. The cross section of each rod has trapezoidal shape. It consists of electrode, ceramic chamber, getter and trigger. Currently, triggered vacuum switch (TVS) with seal-off has been designed and fabricated at PAL. An experimentation and trigger devices for TVS were designed for testing characteristics of electricity. For making the prototype of TVS, it is developed of fabrication process and fined of electrode material. The fabrication of the TVS is a lot of process which have manufacturing of part, chemical clean, ceramic brazing and metal welding. The fabricated TVS is tested of leak for vacuum, hold-off voltage and conditioning of trigger system. The TVS has pinch-off after it is removed of gas in the TVS and activated of getter in degassing furnace. The prototype TVS tested about 20 kV, 75 kA, 83 ${\mu}s$ with 100 kJ capacitor bank and inductance 5 ${\mu}H$. This paper describes the results of tests and the characteristics of the switch.

양극산화알루미늄의 형상제어와 이를 이용한 실리콘 분말 전극 지지체 효과 (Shape Control of Anodic Aluminum Oxide and Effect as Support of Silicon Powder Electrode)

  • Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) has been widely used for the development and fabrication of nano-powder with various morphologies such as particle, wire, rod, and tube. So far, many researchers have reported about shape control and fabrication of AAO films. However, they have reported on the shape control with different diameter and length of anodic aluminum oxide mainly. We present a combined mild-hard (or hard-mild) anodization to prepare shape-controlled AAO films. Two main parameters which are combination mild-hard (or hard-mild) anodization and run-time of voltage control are applied in this work. The voltages of mild and hard anodization are respectively 40 and 80 V. Anodization was conducted on the aluminum sheet in 0.3 mole oxalic acid at $4^{\circ}C$. AAO films with morphologies of varying interpore distance, branch-shaped pore, diameter-modulated pore and long funnel-shaped pore were fabricated. Those shapes will be able to apply to fabricate novel nano-materials with potential application which is especially a support to prevent volume expansion of inserted active materials, such as metal silicon or tin powder, in lithium ion battery. The silicon powder electrode using an AAO as a support shows outstanding cycle performance as 1003 mAh/g up to 200 cycles.

Recent Applications of Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) on Screen-Printed Electrodes for Pesticide Detection

  • The overuse of pesticides in agricultural sectors exposes people to food contamination. Pesticides are toxic to humans and can have both acute and chronic health effects. To protect food consumers from the adverse effects of pesticides, a rapid monitoring system of the residues is in dire need. Molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) on a screen-printed electrode (SPE) is a leading and promising electrochemical sensing approach for the detection of several residues including pesticides. Despite the huge development in analytical instrumentation developed for contaminant detection in recent years such as HPLC and GC/MS, these conventional techniques are time-consuming and labor-intensive. Additionally, the imprinted SPE detection system offers a simple portable setup where all electrodes are integrated into a single strip, and a more affordable approach compared to MIP attached to traditional rod electrodes. Recently, numerous reviews have been published on the production and sensing applications of MIPs however, the research field lacks reviews on the use of MIPs on electrochemical sensors utilizing the SPE technology. This paper presents a distinguished overview of the MIP technique used on bare and modified SPEs for the detection of pesticides from four recent publications which are malathion, chlorpyrifos, paraoxon and cyhexatin. Different molecular imprint routes were used to prepare these biomimetic sensors including solution polymerization, thermal polymerization, and electropolymerization. The unique characteristics of each MIP-modified SPE are discussed and the comparison among the findings of the papers is critically reviewed.

HSA800 후판재의 맞댐용접부 인장강도 실험 (Tensile Testing of Groove Welded Joints Joining Thick-HSA800 Plates)

  • 본 연구에서는 HSA800 후판 강재에 적합한 용접재를 선정하고자 표준인장실험을 수행하였다. 본 연구 수행 당시 HSA800 강재에 적용가능한 용접재로 GMAW 용접재(외국산)와 FCAW 용접재(국내산) 두 가지가 추천되어 이들을 사용하였다. 맞댐용접상세와 루트간격을 주요 실험변수로하여 표준인장실험을 통해 용접부의 성능을 평가하였다. 강도에 대한 설계요구조건은 두 용접재 모두 만족하였으나 연성능력 측면에서 GMAW 용접재 보다는 FCAW 용접재가 일관되고 우수한 거동을 보임이 실험적으로 확인되었다. 특히 GMAW 용접재는 용접효율과 작업성의 문제로 현장에서의 상향용접이 어려운 것으로 파악되었다. 같은 완전용입용접이라도 Single bevel보다는 V-groove가 안정적인 구조거동을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 현행 용접기준의 표준루트 간격을 벗어날 경우 용착의 어려움으로 비정상 파단면이 형성되고 접합성능도 저하됨이 확인되었다. 부분용입용접 접합부의 실험결과에 의할 때 현행 AISC 기준의 부분용입용접부 강도규정은 매우 보수적임이 확인되었다.

동결 주조법으로 제조된 티타늄 옥사이드 폼의 구조 연구 (A Morphological Study on the Titanium-Oxide Foams Processed Using Freeze-Casting)

  • The $TiO_2$ foam synthesized using freeze-casting is a promising photocatalyst and photovoltaic electrode for a variety of energy applications, because the freeze-casting technique is easy to use, cheap, and suitable for mass-production. Despite its several advantages, little scientific information is available on the processing and morphology of the $TiO_2$ foams processed by freeze-casting. In particular, no systematic study has been performed on the microstructural evolution and morphological change of the rutile-phase $TiO_2$ foams during sintering. Therefore, in the present study, several $TiO_2$ foam samples were produced using the freeze-casting technique, which were then sintered at a relatively high temperature of $1200^{\circ}C$ for 1, 2, and 4 h to compare the morphological changes in the microstructure and to understand the effects of processing parameters of the rutile-phase $TiO_2$ foams. The foam ligament size increased near linearly with increasing sintering time whereas the average pore size decreased only slightly with increasing sintering time, with changes in particle morphology from sphere to rod and complete phase transformation from anatase to rutile.

평면형 ECF 펌프를 이용한 전자기기 액체냉각 시스템 (Liquid Cooling System Using Planar ECF Pump for Electronic Devices)

  • This paper presents a liquid cooling concept for heat rejection of high power electronic devices existing in notebook computers etc. The design, fabrication, and performance of the planar ECF pump and farced-liquid cooling system are summarized. The electro-conjugate fluid (ECF) is a kind of dielectric and functional fluids, which generates jet flows (ECF-jets) by applying static electric field through a pair of rod-like electrodes. The ECF-jet directly acts on the working fluid, so the proposed planar ECF pump needs no moving part, produces no vibration and noise. The planar ECF pump, consists of a pump housing and electrode substrate, achieves maximum flow rate and output pressure of $5.5\;cm^3/s$ and 7.2 kPa, respectively, at an applied voltage of 2.0 kV. The farced-liquid cooling system, constructed with the planar ECF pump, liquid-cooled heat sink and thermal test chip, removes input power up to 80 W keeping the chip surface temperature below $70\;^{\circ}C$. The experimental results demonstrate that the feasibility of forced-liquid cooling system using ECF is confirmed as an advanced cooling solution on the next-generation high power electronic devices.

MOD법을 이용한 BLT박막의 제초 및 특성에 관한 연구 (The Preparation and Characterization of BLT Thin Films by MOD Process)

  • Ferroelectric $Bi_{4-x}$La$_{x}$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$ (BLT)thin films with various compositions(x=0.65, 0.70, 0.75) were prepared on Pt//Ti/SiO$_2$/Si(100) substrate by metal-organic deposition. The electrical and structural characteristics of BLT thin films were investigated to develop ferroelectric thin films for capacitor layers of FRAM. After spin coating, thin films were annealed at $650^{\circ}C$ for 1hour in oxygen atomosphere. Scanning electron micrographs showed uniform surfaces composed of rod-like grains. The $Bi_{4-x}$La$_{x}$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$ (x=0.70) thin film capacitors with a Pt top electrode showed better ferroelectric properties than other films. At the applied voltage of 5V, the dielectric constant($\varepsilon$$_{r}$), dissipation factor(tan$\delta$),remanent polarization(2Pr), and coercive field(2Ec) of the $Bi_{4-x}$La$_{x}$Ti$_3$O$_{12}$ (x=0.70)thin films were about 272.54, 0.059, 32.4 $\mu$C/cm$^2$, 2Ec=119.9kV/cm. Also the capacitor did not show any significant fatigue up to 4.8$\times$10$^{10}$ read/write switching cycles.hing cycles.s.

Also the capacitor did not show any significant fatigue up to $8{\times}10^{10}$ read/write switching cycles at a frequency of 1MHz.
