평단봉대평판 전극배치에서 평판 전극에 화염이 존재할 때 공기의 섬락전압 특성 (Flashover Characteristics of Air in the Arrangement of Cylinder-Shaped Rod and Plane Electrode in Case of Flame on the Plane Electrode)

  • In this paper, flashover characteristics of air in the vertical arrangement of cylinder-shaped rod and plane gap in the case of combustion flame on the plane electrode were examined under the application of a.c. and d.c. high-voltages. In order to investigate the effect of propane flame on the flashover characteristics of air, flashover voltages in accordance with the variation of the gap length and the horizontal distance between the flame and the high-voltage rod electrode were measured. As the result of the experiment, flashover voltages in the presence of the flame were substantially lowered than those in the absence of flame, and the polarity effects with the d.c. voltages on appeared owing to the flame. Flashover voltages of air were increased in the proportion of the gap length and the horizontal distance in the case of both a.c. and d.c. voltages, but the flame was extinguished by such corona wind that was produced from the rod electrode when the gap length and the horizontal distance reached to a certain degree.

배전계통에서 봉형접지극의 접지저항 향상을 위한 접지저항저감제 사용방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application Methods of Chemicals for Reducing Grounding Resistance of the Bar-Shaped Electrode on the Power Distribution System)

  • 봉형접지극은 우리나라 배전계통에 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 접지전극이다. 현재 배전계통에 사용하고 있는 봉형접지극은 접지동봉, 심타용접지봉 그리고 도전성콘크리트접지봉 등이 주로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 접지저항값은 토질에 따라 소정의 접지저항값을 얻기가 어려울 때가 많아 접지저항저감제를 사용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 봉형접지지전극 중 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 접지동봉에 물을 제공하였을 때 얻어진 접지저항값을 기준으로 접지저항저감제의 사용방법(시공법), 접지저항저감제의 종류 등에 따라 얻어진 초기접지저항값, 시간경과(1년)에 따른 저항값의 변화폭 추이 등을 비교 검토한 연구이다. 본 연구 결과를 요약하면 신공법으로 접지저항저감제를 사용하였을 때 낮은 초기접지저항저감을 얻는 효과뿐만 아니라 시간경과에 따른 접지저항값의 변화폭도 적어 안정됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

Incidence and Distribution of Virus Diseases on Cucumber in Jeonnam Province During 1999-2002

  • Disease incidences of cucumber virus diseases in Jeonnam province were 52.5%, 16.1%, 35.2%, and 50.9% in 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002, respectively. Rod- and flexuous rod-shaped virus particles were observed with the frequencies of 63.2% and 10.5%, respectively from the samples collected in 1999 under EM observation. Rod-shaped virus particles are considered as tobamovirus while flexuous rod shaped particles are considered as potyviruses. To further confirm their nature, total of 312 diseased virus samples were collected from 2000 to 2002, and tested by RT-PCR. Disease incidences of tobamoviruses including Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus and Kyuri green mottle mosaic virus were 48.7% and 3.8%, respectively while those of potyviruses including Zucchini yellow mosaic virus, Papaya ringspot virus, and Watermelon mosaic virus were 15.7%, 9.3%, and 5.1%, respectively. Interestingly, Cucumber mosaic virus was hardly detected. About 5.8% of tested samples were infected with more than one virus. Tobamovirus infection was consistently observed from September to December regardless of planting time, whereas infection of potyviruses was observed in many cucumber cultivating areas where it was planted in September and October.

Mn 분말을 환원제로 사용하여 열증발법에 의해 생성된 ZnO 마이크로/나노결정 (ZnO Micro/Nanocrystals Synthesized by Thermal Evaporation Method using Mn Powder as the Reducing Agent)

  • Zinc oxide(ZnO) micro/nanocrystals are grown via thermal evaporation of ZnO powder mixed with Mn powder, which is used as a reducing agent. The ZnO/Mn powder mixture produces ZnO micro/nanocrystals with diverse morphologies such as rods, wires, belts, and spherical shapes. Rod-shaped ZnO micro/nanocrystals, which have an average diameter of 360 nm and an average length of about $12{\mu}m$, are fabricated at a temperature as low as $800^{\circ}C$ due to the reducibility of Mn. Wire-and belt-like ZnO micro/nanocrystals with length of $3{\mu}m$ are formed at $900^{\circ}C$ and $1,000^{\circ}C$. When the growth temperature is $1,100^{\circ}C$, spherical shaped ZnO crystals having a diameter of 150 nm are synthesized. X-ray diffraction patterns reveal that ZnO had hexagonal wurtzite crystal structure. A strong ultraviolet emission peak and a weak visible emission band are observed in the cathodoluminescence spectra of the rod- and wire-shaped ZnO crystals, while visible emission is detected for the spherical shaped ZnO crystals.

아크유도형 침부 접지봉의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of an Arc-Inducing Driven Rod with Needles)

  • 본 논문에서는 상용주파 고장전류 및 뇌격전류를 모두 효과적으로 대지로 방류할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 접지 봉인 아크유도형 침부 접지봉을 고안하여 특성올 연구, 분석하였다. 아크유도형 침부 접지봉의 구조는 일반 접지 용의 표면에 침을 부착한 후 동파이프에 넣었다. 이 고안된 접지봉이 배전선로의 피뢰기 접지봉에 사용될 경우의 특성올 검토한 결과, 침과 동파이프 사이에서 아크가 발생하여 전기에너지를 효과적으로 소모함으로써 피뢰기 1차측 전압이 감소됨을 확인하였다.

대기 분위기에서 ZnS의 산화에 의해 생성된 야구 배트 형상의 ZnO 결정과 음극선형광 특성 (Synthesis and Cathodoluminescence of ZnO Crystals with Baseball Bat Shape Through Oxidation of ZnS in Air Atmosphere)

  • ZnO crystals with a baseball bat shape were synthesized without any catalysts through a simple thermal oxidation of ZnS powder in alumina crucible under air atmosphere. SEM images demonstrated that the bat structure was composed of two pieces of ZnO crystals, i.e hexagonal-shaped rod and inverted cone-shaped rod. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern revealed that the ZnO crystals had wurtzite hexagonal structure. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrum showed that the ZnO was of high purity. A strong green emission peak at 510 nm was observed in cathodoluminescece spectrum.

  • The study on a surface transformation hardening of a rod-shaped SM45C carbon steel is carried out by using CW Nd:YAG laser. Conventionally, $CO_2$ laser has been usually used as a laser source for a transformation hardening. however, it is needed to an additional absorbent coating like a colloidal graphite owing to a lower absorbtion rate. On the other hand, no cost and post-removal process of coating is required to Nd:YAG laser, due to a higher absorbtion rate relatively. Moreover, there is a merit which is capable of building up the more flexible processing system resulted from a beam delivery through a optical fiber. In this study, we were going to recognize characteristics of a transformation hardening using a optic head with a gaussian beam distribution.

Two New Species and a New Chinese Record of Hypocreaceae as Evidenced by Morphological and Molecular Data

  • To explore species diversity of Hypocreaceae, collections from Guangdong, Hubei, and Tibet of China were examined and two new species and a new Chinese record were discovered. Morphological characteristics and DNA sequence analyses of the ITS, LSU, $EF-1{\alpha}$, and RPB2 regions support their placements in Hypocreaceae and the establishments of the new species. Hypomyces hubeiensis sp. nov. is characterized by occurrence on fruitbody of Agaricus sp., concentric rings formed on MEA medium, verticillium-like conidiophores, subulate phialides, rod-shaped to narrowly ellipsoidal conidia, and absence of chlamydospores. Trichoderma subiculoides sp. nov. is distinguished by effuse to confluent rudimentary stromata lacking of a well-developed flank and not changing color in KOH, subcylindrical asci containing eight ascospores that disarticulate into 16 dimorphic part-ascospores, verticillium-like conidiophores, subcylindrical phialides, and subellipsoidal to rod-shaped conidia. Morphological distinctions between the new species and their close relatives are discussed. Hypomyces orthosporus is found for the first time from China.

Bacterial Sepsis Associated with a Captive State Caused by Edwardsiella tarda in a Eurasian Brown Bear (Ursus arctos arctos)

  • Edwardsiella (E) tarda belongs to the Enterobacteriaceae family and is a motile, gram-negative, rod-shaped, facultative anaerobe regarded as an opportunistic and food-borne pathogen in animals and humans. A 21-year-old male Eurasian brown bear (Ursus arctos arctos) died suddenly without any preliminary signs. Necropsy performed according to standard protocol revealed swollen abdomen with hemorrhagic congestions of the gastroenteric organs, ascites, and hemorrhagic exudates around the mouth. The liver showed discoloration, along with a severely swollen and multiple hemorrhages of the spleen, an elongated gallbladder, and a congested cortex and medullar lesion of kidneys. The stomach contained semi-liquid exudates and undigested chicken exuding a decayed odor. The stomach membranes were dark-gray in color with several cysts in the fundus lesions. Rod-shaped bacteria were found in the major organs by Giemsa staining, identified as E. tarda using a biochemical rapid diagnostic identification kit.

원형봉에서 정사각재 인발공정의 유한요소 해석 (Finite Element Analysis for the Drawing of Square Rod from Round Bar)

  • Unlike the drawing of round section from round bar, the shaped drawing like polygonal section is known to have influence not only drawing stress but also comer filling. Therefore, this study analyze the drawing process of suqare rod from round bar using nonsteady state rigid-plastic FEM. To investigate effects of process variables of the drawing process of square rod from round bar, FE-simulations with variety of reduction in area and semi-die angle for a given frictional condition have been conduction. By this results, it has to suggest optimal process condition on the drawing stress and the comer filling. In addition, it has determined forming limit considering necking and bulging.
